NLCC CHURCH CAMP 2017 – WORTHY OF HIS CALLING

Church camp provides us with an opportunity to experience God and get to know others away from the busyness of life. At camp, you will have the right blend of biblical teaching, ministry and recreation.

The dates , 10-12 June (Saturday to Monday) have been set aside for this time of FAITH•FAMILY•FUN—for our NLCC family.

The speaker, Pastor Russell Sage is a highly gifted evangelist with a strong prophetic voice.

The venue, Royale Bintang Resort & Spa in Seremban was specially chosen to ensure utmost comfort with excellent accomodation and facilities.

Come to the camp counter at the Manna Hall, 1st Floor after the 1st Service and allow us to answer your queries. The counter will be open till 10.15am. For 2nd Service please contact Joseph Lau @ 016-3160988.

Come and allow God to work in us and through us at the camp and then send us home, changed and ready to impact the world for His glory!

There is a class for every member, wherever you are in your walk with God. QUIET ADORATION

My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him. PSALM 62:1

Who would dispute the fact that when a person meets with God in His glory, that which God has to say must have infinitely more worth than what that person has to say? And yet we often fill our quiet times in God’s presence with our own thoughts and needs instead of giving Him time to speak to us. Moreover, our prayers are frequently indefinite and vague. We learn a great lesson when we come to understand that the deliberate quieting of our souls and minds before God is the secret of true adoration.

It is when we bow before God, recognising His majesty and His holiness, His power and His love, and seek to give Him the honour and the reverence and the worship that are His due, that our hearts awaken to the nearness of God and the working of His power. It is when we bow low in our nothingness and lift up our thoughts to realise His presence as He gives Himself to us in Christ Jesus that we find the greatest possible blessing in prayer.

Do not for a moment think of the time as being lost. Persevere in your adoration, even if at first it seems difficult or fruitless. Be assured, it will lead to real fellowship with God. The assurance that He is listening to you in love and working in you with power will come.

As time goes by, you will become increasingly aware of His presence throughout the day. People will begin to sense that you have been with God. It will make you strong to witness for Him. Someone once said, “No one can influence another for good, beyond the amount that there is of God in him.”

Lord, teach me to be quiet before You. My expectations are from You.

Dr. Toke is a certified trainer of Critical Incident Stress Management Group Crisis Intervention with Maryland University, USA.
