List of activities performed

In Today’s competitive world, an individual is supposed to be ready for market oriented skills. To develop these skills one can’t deny the role of co-curricular activities. DAVCET kanina, the top leader in providing quality education, organized a number of technical & cultural events for the students. Here is a glimpse of activities organized in this semester.

1. Hawan at the start of the even semester 2013-14:

Every auspicious beginning requires a good start. On the footsteps of Anglo-Vedic culture of DAVorganization, A Hawan ceremony was held in the campus. All the students & staff member participated inthe Hawan puja.

2. Annual Athletic Meet 2014:

To Refine the Sporting Skills of our students, DAVCET, kanina organized its 7th annual athletic meet 2014. On this occasion, The chief guest PadamShree Smt Mamta Saudha , D.S.P ( Rewari) motivated the studentswith her achievements in the field of sports. Students performed with full enthusiasm and showed sportsmanship Spirit.

3. Indoor Games Championship:

Civil Engg. Deptt. organized Indoor games championship which included games like Chess, Badminton, Sudoku. Students participated actively in the games & enjoyed a lot.

4. Survey camp in Trilokpur(Himachal Pradesh):

Civil engg students attended A 10 day Survey Camp in Trilokpur (Himachal Pradesh) to deepen their practical knowledge of subject matter. They learned many new things under the guidance of faculty membersaccompanying them.

5. Stress Management Camp:

Every individual needs to be relaxed from today’s stressful environment. DAVCET, kanina organized a 1 day Stress Management Camp for the students at Bramakumari’s Om Shanti Retreat Center, Bilaspur (Gurgaon)where students learned to balance their personal & professional life and to keep harmony in relationships.

6. CSE Day:-

CSE & IT department of college collectively organized the CSE day on 4th April,2014 ,No. of technical events like LAN gaming, Quiz competition & paper presentation were organized, also an indoor game competition including Chess & Badminton tournament to give platform to the students to show their skills in the field of sports.

7. Blood Donation camp:

To mark the Birth Anniversary of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati on 24th of February 2014, a Blood donation camp was organized by NSS unit of the college. A large no of students and staff member donated their blood for this noble cause. Blood donors were awarded with certificates for their precious contribution for the society.

8. NSS camp:

To make students learn the importance of environmental cleanliness and selfless service for mankind, the NSSunit of davcet kanina regularly organized its camps and encourages everyone for the healthy surroundings.

9. Jigyasa-2k14, National Level Techno Cultural Symposium:

DAVCET kanina organized a National level techno cultural symposium, Jigyasa-2k14 on 6th & 7th march 2014 with the objective to provide a common platform for students where they can compete & learn. A number of cultural & technical activities were organized, various colleges from all regions participated in this event. It was followed by a D.J. night, which was enjoyed a lot by all.
