General range comments

- Welcome to the first Winter season for the newly re-launched Davenport Mens underwear range.Our relaunch has been one of the biggest things to hit the mens underwear market for a long time, andwe generated a huge amount of press and publicity, which has increased our brand awareness and recallacross our target market. Look out for more fantastic press and PR activity across the Winter season, as well asour infamous TV advert showing on the Eastern seaboard just before Valentines Day.

This season we continue to cement our Bodyfit styles into the range, by extending our colour range in the Bodyfit Trunk (DAV004), and introducing the Bodyfit Short style to the range. This short fills a gap for a shorter, fashion style in the range, and is based on the fit of out Bodyfit Trunk (please note that the BodyfitShort is not offered in our Pima Cotton blend).

You will also see a lot of work has gone into our woven boxer area, with the Original Fit 3 button placket withfunctioning open waistband returning in fantastic seasonal colours. Best of all we have increased the quality ofour fabrics and construction. All Original Fit single sell boxer styles are now made of 80’s count yarn for a softer, beautiful handfeel and now feature French seamed leg seams so a much more comfortable fit.

We also introduce the Low Rise Boxer - a younger more contemporary fit in fashionable checks and stripes. Thisstyle features a lower rise, shorter leg length and 1 button placket. Another feature of the garment is that itfeatures ‘balloon back’ seams, providing great comfort in a shorter garment. All Low Rise Boxer styles are madeof 60’s count yarn.

There is also a slight change to our brief shape with the introduction of an open front to our non basic brief shapes.This shape reinforces a younger more contemporary slant on an old classic.

The colour palettes are muted and feature marle yarns with splashes of bright colours to merchandise back with our brighter colours offered in the Bodyfit Trunk. Stripes featured heavily in the range - from the basic PrussianBlue and Navy stripes, to Dark Grey marle with neon stripes. Stripes also provide a great design feature in thekeyhole brief, and again show that Davenport is moving forward and keeps it’s eye on the trends.

Key Shape PortfolioOur Key shape portfolio expands to bring in the Bodyfit Short, Low Rise Boxer and slight changes to the Original Fit Boxer.Again using the Bodyfit Short to really cement these styles and fit into the market.

Logo ElasticsWe continue with our Davenport logo elastics, and expand the colour range to make them more seasonal.

Pima CottonOur basic Bodyfit trunk (DAV004) and brief (DAV009) are made of a Pima cotton / lycra blend. Pima cotton is amongst the most highly graded cotton in the world, and is normally grown only in the USA. This cotton isone of the softest most comfortable and expensive cottons that you can buy, and blended with Lycra by Dupontmakes our basics the softest, most comfortable on the market.

Cotton Elastane blendAll our knitted styles (with the exception of The Bodyfit Trunk (DAV004) and Brief (DAV009) are now made in our cottonelastane blend. This provides for superior comfort and movement.

Basic stylesOur stock supported lines continue to be the Bodyfit Trunk and Brief (in basic colours only), as well as our Jersey Boxer (D7519A), Satin Boxer (D8149A), Freedom Trunk (DAV016) and Freedom Boxer (DAV015). You will find referencesof all our stock supported lines in the next few pages. Having these lines on a stock supported system will also help yourretailer to mix the indent range back in with the basics.

New Low Rise Boxer shapeA key shape for the youth market going forward - this shape sits flatter without any bunching or excess fabric under clothes.This shorter fit shape in a key shape this season, and will open up the boxer short market to a new generation ofwearers, who see it not on ly as a more comfortable way to wear a woven garment, but also a real fashion trend.As always our boxers are versitile and can be worn as sleepwear as well as underwear.

Yarn dye stripesYarn dye stripes will always give you a more superior handfeel and will ware better with washing. Prints will still feature in ourrange, but will be kept to the items that would not be possible to yarn dye.

Winter 08 Delivery dates

The Winter collection has been designed with strong colour palettes in each delivery drop, ensuringthat each one provides a strong and distinct story.

There are specific dates that each drop is available from:-

Delivery 1 - Available for delivery to customer 28th January

Delivery 2 - Available for delivery to customer 25th February

Delivery 3 - Available for delivery to customer 24th March

Delivery 4 - Available for delivery to customer 21st April

Each style / drop can be ordered at any time after it’s available date, but due to production scheduling styles will not beavailable before their allocated date.

All BASIC styles are available on an ongoing basis.
