New Perspective: See opportunities you

have not seen before

• Check Point joined the program to expose

our developers to a different view of the

computer science field; and eventually to

create an ongoing relationship with MIT. Yaron Sheffer, Manager, Standards and VPN Technologies, Check Point Technologies

• “We benefitted greatly from bringing a

young person from MIT to provide a fresh

view into our team and our research. One

learns different ways to look at things,

different cultures, and different ideas.” Ana

measuring instrument may emerge as a result and could find

widespread worldwide use because of its low cost.” Professor David Faiman, Head, Israel's National Solar Energy Center

• Jason Bryslawskyj developed two patents (one approved; one

pending) based on magnetic bearing and superconductivity

calculations for large drives. MIT-Germany Intern with Siemens

• The high level of the student, enabled the advancement of

the project. Herzl Ovadia, Engineering Manager, AVX Israel

• Osram Opto Semiconductors is trying to develop highly

efficient OLED lighting. Ian Rousseau, MIT-Germany 2008

Intern developed a methodology which reduced computation

time from one hour to three minutes per device.
