1983 Co-recipient with C. L. Douglas of the Desert Bighorn Council's Bighorn Trophy for scientific contributions toward a better understanding of the species; the award was first given in 1960, and we were the 10th recipients.

1987 Quality Performance Award from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife for acting as Unit Leader for five months and

exceeding performance standards in FY86 and FY87.

1988 Invited to judge the 10TH Anniversary Oklahoma Duck Stamp Competition, Oklahoma City, OK. 16 December 1988.

Quality Performance Award from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for exceeding performance standards in

FY88.

1989 Special Achievement Award from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service exceeding performance standards in FY89 and serving as Acting Unit Leader.

1990 Invited to judge the Grand Award Competition at the 41st International Science and Engineering Fair, Tulsa,

1991 The Oklahoma Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit received the 1990 Conservation Organization

Award from the Oklahoma Wildlife Federation, the state affiliate of the National Wildlife Federation, during my tenure as Unit Leader. 2 March.
