AI has become a new focus of international competition. AI is a strategic technology that will lead in the future; the world’s major developed countries are taking the development of AI as a major strategy to enhance national competitiveness and protect national security.
China’s government and industry believe that they have largely closed the gap with the United States in both AI R&D and commercial AI products.
China now sees AI as “a race of two giants,” between itself and the United States.

Ginni Rometty, CEO of IBM expected 100% of Jobs to be effected by AI
As part of their open and transparent approach to future workforce strategy and the introduction of AI IBM reduced its global HR workforce by 30%
HR systems being uprooted by AI for the better. IBM’s internal career platform called My Career Advisor—no longer acts as a self serve system; instead the AI proactively recommends jobs to you based on skills, tenure, project work, rankings, and so on
Rometty’s pointed out to audience members that organisation’s ought to be considering three tactics to help with the transition to AI:
• Retrain current employees;
• Embrace people with less than a four-year degree;
• Reskilling employees by apprenticeships.
