Assignments included writing project worksheets on disaster related damages to applicants of state and local infrastructure

entities. Entities included but were not limited to counties, cities, state agencies, universities and state energy

cooperatives. Entity facilities included but were not limited to building structures, energy company facilities, water

Dave Buckley was deployed as a Squad Leader in the NM VJO for a 7-member PA Tribal Team that wrote 145 PWs (CAT A, B, 0, and E) for the Pueblo of Acoma for a Severe Storms and Flooding Declaration. Because of his insuracne experience and his excellent physical condition, Dave's team was specifically selected to work in the remote areas. or "back country". of the pueblo on projects with complex scopes of work and eligibility issues in a 2-county area. Often they had to pack food and water for 14-hour day trips to reach the damaged sites. Oave demonstrated an unusual high level of moral courage by often denying the Applicanfs claims for pre-disaster damaged facilities and unreasonable cost to repair eligible damages. However, at the AppIicanfs Exit Briefing, the Applicant's Rep, the Acoma's 2Lt Governor and the FeO gave Dave accolades to Dave and his team. Because of Dave's strong leadership and mentoring, Dave's PSs are better PSs than when they were deployed. Dave is ready for more demanding PAC assignments.
