Serves as the Video Teleconference (VTC) Team Lead at AFSOC in support of the USSOCOM Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) for Distributed Computing. Supervises five personnel on this team; together, they maintain both fixed and portable VTC suites and all system elements (e.g., video cameras, all projection screens, speakers, control consoles, control software), including initial installation, connection, and configuration. In addition, the team is responsible for day-to-day setup, scheduling and operational assistance for conducting video teleconferences as requested by AFSOC personnel.

Develops reports, metrics and procedures in support of the SITEC SLA requirements for VTC Support. Ensures standard operating procedures are in place that align with ITIL standards and escalation processes with other SITEC towers. Ensures equipment listings align with the Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB) and maintains accuracy for reporting.

Work closely with AFSOC Real Time Services Program Manager to accomplish site surveys, maintenance, upgrades and expansion of Video Teleconference support within AFSOC. This includes submitting program requirements for new equipment and warranty/licensing upgrades/renewals to Program manager for authorization and funding. In addition, he coordinates the installation of VTC equipment at geographically separated AFSOC units with other host base organizations.

Under my direction our team provides streamline scheduling processes, installation guidance, and coordinated support for Global Video Services (DISA) VTCs and Classified VTC services within SOCOM’s SIE; both unclassified and classified scheduling/facilitation to Three Star General Officer level effort. I have also coordinated the facilitation of A/V tech installs from NAVAIR and third party vendors to ensure all necessary requirements are in place for rapid turnover/completion of systems.
