SUMMARY

Claim 1111376 is located in northeast Tisdale Township within the city limits of Timmins, Ontario. It is situated in the Timmins mining camp within the Abitibi Greenstone Belt. The Timmins mining camp is Ontario's premier gold mining camp having produced over sixty million ounces of gold.

The claim is underlain by ultramafic flows and massive to pillowed mafic flows of the Tisdale assemblage. The northwest portion of claim 1111376 is postulated to be underlain by the southwestern extension of an auriferous carbonate zone extending from northeast of the claim.

Previous exploration for gold mineralization has consisted of prospecting, geological mapping and trenching from 1920 to 1941. No exploration work conducted after 1941 on claim 1111376 is recorded in the Timmins Assessment Files.

An exploration program consisting of linecutting and Max-Min geophysical surveys are recommended for the claim.

INTRODUCTION

This report, was prepared for assessment purposes at the request of Davidson Tisdale Ltd. It summarizes the geology and economic potential of claim 1111376. The authors mapped the claim on November 28, 1999. Additional information for this report was gathered from the assessment files at the Timmins Resident Geologists Office.

LOCATION AND ACCESS

Claim 1111376, nine and a half kilometres northeast of Timmins city centre, is located in northeast Tisdale Township, within the city limits of Timmins. The claim is easily accessible by an northwest-southeast gravel road that extends through the northeast portion of the claim. This gravel road extends eastward off Highway 655 (Figure 2). Travel distance from Highway 655 (Kidd Creek Highway) is approximately three and a half kilometres to the northwest corner of the claim.

CLAIM STATUS

Claim 1111376 is an unpatented claim unit. It occupies the northwest quarter of the south half of lot 3 in Concession VI of Tisdale Township (Figure 2). The claim is a standard unit size of 16 hectares. Poulin Maurice recorded it on June 1, 1989. The Mining Recorder on November 27, 1997 set the first work anniversary date as November 27, 1999. This was as a result of the long time required to resolve two disputes filed on the claim in 1989 (Appendix A).

The mining rights of claim 1111376 are held by Davidson Tisdale Ltd., 361 Steelcase Road West Unit 1 S 2 Markham, Ontario L3R 3V8.

HISTORY OF EXPLORATION

Research at the Timmins Resident Geologists Office indicates the only recorded exploration work on the present claim 1111376 occurred between 1920 and 1941. The present claim was formerly patented claim 13080. This patented claim was part of a group of 15 patented claims in northeast Tisdale Township held by various companies from 1920 to 1941 (Timmins assessment file T383). The exploration work conducted on patented claim 13080 during this period consisted of prospecting, geological mapping and trenching. The trenching on the patented claim consisted of some pits and trenches in the west central part of the claim. The location of them is not marked on any maps and no gold values are reported.

No diamond drilling is recorded in the Timmins Resident Geologists Office to have occurred on the claim. Surface diamond drilling was conducted to the northeast and southwest of the claim prior to 1927 and in 1940. Drilling records are incomplete however it appears a total of twelve holes (2,135 to 2,450 m) were drilled on former claim 12765

(the adjoining northeast claim) and former claim 6983 (the adjoining west claim). Gold values ranging from 0.14 to 0.56 oz. Au per ton are reported to occur over drill hole core lengths of 2 to 3 feet from drilling on claim 12765 in the vicinity of the main gold showing. A remarkable gold value of 6.32 oz. Au per ton over a core length of one and a half feet was also reported from this area (Timmins assessment file T383).

A shaft was sunk in 1920 and deepened in1928 to a depth of 700 feet on former claim 12765. This shaft is situated approximately 300 m northeast of the northeast corner of claim 1111376. Crosscuts were driven from the 150, 300 and 600 foot levels. The underground workings and any underground drilling conducted tested a wide carbonate zone striking northeast. The carbonate zone was traced for a strike length of 600 feet and has widths up to 100 feet. It's southwestern extension would trend on to the nortwest part of claim 1111376. The zone is composed of ankerite altered grey schist (ultramafic) with quartz lenses and stringers mineralized with pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite.

No ground geophysical surveys are recorded in the Timmins Resident Geologists Office to have been performed on the claim.

REGIONAL GEOLOGY

The claim lies within the western part of the Abitibi Subprovince. The Abitibi Subprovince is an 800 by 300 km Archean "granite-greenstone" domain situated along the southern margin of the Superior Province. It is dominated by supracrustal and granitoid rocks with a range of ages from 2.75 to 2.67 Ga (Jackson and Fyon 1991). The volcanic rocks of the region are part of the large east-west North Tisdale anticline, occuring north of the Porcupine-Destor Deformation Zone. The northwest trending Burrows-Benedict Fault cuts the North Tisdale anticline. The Archean Tisdale assemblage underlies the claim region (Figure 3).

The Tisdale assemblage consists of i) a lower portion of mixed ultramafic^ and Mg- tholeiitic mafics ii) a middle sequence of Fe-tholeiitic basalts capped by two distinctive variolitic units and iii) an upper portion of dominantly calc-alkaline felsic pyroclastic rocks (Krist Fragmental) with minor carbonaceous argillite. The Tisdale assemblage is in fault contact with the older Deloro assemblage to the south across the Porcupine-Destor Deformation Zone. Along the western and northern part of the Tisdale assemblage, volcanic flows are interlayered with metasediments of the Hoyle assemblage (Dunbar, 1948). To the northeast, the Tisdale assemblage is unconformably overlain by metasediments of the Timiskaming assemblage.

Claim 1111376 is located in the Timmins mining camp, Ontario's most prolific gold camp having produced over sixty million ounces of gold (4507o of all gold mined in Ontario.) The Tisdale assemblage is unique in that it hosts most of the quartz vein type gold deposits of the Timmins mining camp.

PROPERTY GEOLOGY

The authors conducted geological mapping of claim 1111376 on November 28, 1999. Mapping was conducted on north-south flagged lines spaced approximately 100 m apart. The claim was extensively searched for outcrop and bedrock exposure was located in the southeast portion of the claim (Figure 4).

A thick cover of overburden consisting of glaciolacustrine sand and clay blankets the remainder of the claim. Topographically the claim is flat with little relief and is approximately 300 m above sea level. Drainage is poor with a swampy area in the central portion of the claim. This swampy area is the southern extension of a small lake immediately to the north of the claim. A small irregular creek drains the swampy area on the claim towards the west. Vegetation cover over the claim consists of mostly immature spruce forest with patches of alders.

The claim is situated on the southern limb of the North Tisdale Anticline approximately one kilometre east of the Burrows Bennedict Fault. It is underlain by ultramafic and mafic units of the Tisdale assemblage (Piroscho and Kettles 1991).

Scattered small outcrops in the southeast portion of the property consist of very fine-grained massive mafic flows with massive basaltic komattitic ultramafics to the south (Figure 4). Locally trace disseminated sulphides were observed in the bedrock exposures. This stratigraphy was observed in outcrop to trend 080 degrees and dip south 65 to 80 degrees.

RECOMMENDATIONS

The claim is underlain by volcanic units of the Tisdale assemblage which hosts most of the quartz vein type gold deposits of the Timmins mining camp. A gold mineralized carbonate zone striking northeast within an ultramafic unit occurs on the adjoining northeast claim 1229018. It's southwestern extension would trend on to the northwest part of claim 1111376. This represents an excellent exploration target for gold mineralization on claim 1111376.

It is recommended that line cutting and a ground magnetic survey, which have not previously been conducted, be performed on the claim. These surveys would better distinguish the ultramafic units from the mafic units on the claim. As well any significant carbonate alteration associated with possible gold mineralization within the ultramafic units could be distinguished.
