Dr George King has been at the practice since 2007, and has been the principal dentist since 2011 having taken over from Dr Anthony Slater. Dr Slater had been working in the practice for nearly 36 years when he retired last December and set the standard for quality dental care in the region. They are very family-orientated which is why Dr King has brought together a team of highly trained dental practitioners to bring the people of Cooma- Monaro region the best possible dental care available. Dawson Street Dental Services also has strong ties with a full range of dental specialists in Canberra, so all aspects of dental care are never far away. Dawson St Dental Services David McGuinness I commenced training as a Dental Technician in 1971. After completion I joined the Air Force in 1975 and served for 15 years and was discharged in 1990. Graduated as a Dental Prosthetist in 1987 from Melbourne Dental Hospital and commenced my own practice in Canberra in 1988. I have extensive experience in both the public and private health systems, I currently work part time for ACT Health and myself in both Woden and Cooma. I am in Cooma on Tuesday afternoons from 1.30pm to 5pm and can be contacted on 6452 5189 anytime for all your denture needs. Cooma’s Dental Prosthetist Trisha Bush Health and Wellbeing Trisha Bush has a background in education and supportive learning. She is a mother of two young boys, and has worked to support children’s development from infants to teenagers. After noting the rise of learning difficulties in the classroom and the evident rise in obesity rates for both children and adults, she became increasingly concerned. This triggered Trisha to do some research and find where she might potentially make a difference in these areas. She became very aware of the effects nutritional deficit, and toxicity in the body and personal environment, play in development and learning; and which also contribute to obesity. Trisha has found that re-establishing balance through careful detoxification is a major key to improved general health and wellbeing. Trisha herself has had remarkable health improvement since adopting the solutions she found during her research. She is passionate about supporting people to improved health after experiencing quite significant results first hand.
