I look like a tourist most days.



is is a short photobook withpictures from last summer inCopenhagen. Partly because I longfor sunshine, partly because I amridiculously slow at following up onthe rst issue of Daydream Nation.

I hope you enjoy it.



THE LAST

LIVING

SOULSe fascination with cemetries is simple - it’sgloomy, beautiful, wild, and right next door.

Wonderful spots in the dead centre of the city.If you’re ever here in Copenhagen, be sure to

visit them.

Copenhagen cemetriesare huge areas filledwith the weirdest ofthings — some of themI only recentlydiscovered even thoughI grew up just aroundthe corner from a lot ofthese places. EspeciallyAssistens Kirkegård in

Nørrebro which housesthe biggest danish poetsand philosophers has astunning atmosphere.

The next couple ofpages are snapshotsfrom some of myfavourite spots.



This particular view atVestre Kirkegård blewmy mind. I know verylittle about trees, butthis has the feel of beingshaped over a very, verylong time. Patience will

always be fascinating.Even when it comesfrom a tree.



The pictures are takenwith a mix of x100,Lensbabies and the oldtrusty Nikon D3000.



SQUATOPIAChristiania is a self-governing little society,founded by le-wing-dudes in the 70’s,today a subject to constant political re.Maintaining a lawless marihuana haven inthe most attractive spot of land in thecapital has its price.

And no, it’s not the wildwest. It’s more the sortof stoned place if youask me. Amateurplumbing, divinearchitecture, an ever-

growing romapopulation, organizedcrime, and 1000potheads — come on -

that’s bound to end intears. And it does - allthe time. Fantastic idea:make a small self-governing society, andsee how it plays out for

30 years. Hey, it’sgamification, and that’sas trendy as ever.



Not subject to the otherwise strictconstruction laws in Copenhagen, thehousing in Christiania is imaginativeand childish. Amazing.



DISTORTION!



e biggest and fastest growing block party inCopenhagen, Distortion is a ve-day celebration of

Copenhagen nightlife. Placed cleverly right aerRoskilde Festival, it brings the party (and all citizensable to open a beer I think) to the streets, and for vedays the city feels like a real capital.



A view through one ofthe most ethnic parts ofCopenhagen, at thisparticular momentsome club nearbyplayed Jay-Z’s New Yorktribute at this very

moment, this was justperfect. That’s what weall felt like for 3minutes. Citizens of abig city.



Daydream Nation is an outlet forphotography, editorial layout tests,and pure fun. I’m profoundly happy you reached this page and hope youhad fun, and in this particular issue,even learned a bit about Copenhagen.Please keep the comments and shares
