Do you remember the date of last year's Easter? Do you know when we will celebrate it next year?Probably not, becausę Easter doesn't have a set date. It is a movable holiday. It falls between MarchfLnd andApril 25th. Its history goes back to the pagan celebrations of the arrival of (1) after along winter.

The first day connected with Easter is (2) _, also known as Shrove Tuesday. On this day peopleeat pancakes and organise pancake competitions. MAKE A PAI{CAKE!8. Pancakes are everytrody's favourite food on Pancake Day. Read the recipe

and underline the verbs.

Ingredients

8 ounces of flour (230 g) I pint of milk (0.57 1) 2 eggs a pinch of salt2 teaspoons of oil 1 lemon sugar for sprinkling

Method:

_ Cook until the top is dry.

_ Put the pancake on a plate and sprinkle with sugar and lemon juice.

_Add the milk little by little until the mixture is creamy.- Break the eggs onę at a time and pour them into the bowl._ Pour in enough batter to cover the frying pan._ Roll up before serving.

- Heat a littlę oil in the Ęing pan.

_ Toss the pancake and cook the other side until brown.1 Sieve the flour and salt into a bowl._ Mix the eggs and flour together.
