ISAIAH'S VISIONOF THE SERAPHIMS,THE THRONE, ANDTHE OAK TREE

ISA 6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne,high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered hisface, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: thewhole earth is full of his glory.4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house wasfilled with smoke.5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and Idwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, theLORD of hosts.6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he hadtaken with the tongs from off the altar:7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thineiniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go forus? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see yeindeed, but perceive not.10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes;lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart,and convert, and be healed.11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted withoutinhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,12 And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in themidst of the land.13 But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teiltree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: sothe holy seed shall be the substance thereof.

Mount Hermon

The story has been told about a team of scientiststhat were climbing a mountain. The gist of thestory goes something like this. The scientists weredriven by an intense curiosity of what was on theother side of the mountain. For, to their knowl-edge, no one had ever seen the other side of themountain before. As they painstakingly climbedtoward the top, the excitement mounted. Theywould finally get to see what was on the other sideof the mountain.

And finally they reached the top and looked overto see the breathtaking view. And as they sur-veyed the scene, they noted a group sitting by aboulder and talking among themselves. This groupintroduced themselves to the scientists as beingtheologians. They said, "Where have you been,we have been waiting a long time for you?"

PSA 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together inunity!2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, evenAaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: forthere the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

DAN 1:4 Children in whom was no blemish,but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom,and cunning in knowledge, and understand-ing science, and such as had ability in themto stand in the king's palace, and whom theymight teach the learning and the tongue ofthe Chaldeans.

Daniel was one of the group of children that wasbrought to the king's palace. And he and brethrenhad a true understanding of science and of spiri-tual things. There was not a conflict such thatspiritual principles and science seemed to be in op-position to each other.

Somehow, somewhere, in the corridors of time,the spiritual and the scientific (logic) became sepa-rated from each other. The scientists took on atechnical arrogance of thinking that through thepower of their own intellect, they knew or couldexplain all things. Little did they realize howblinded they were to the unseen world.

REV 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich,and increased with goods, and have need ofnothing; and knowest not that thou artwretched, and miserable, and poor, andblind, and naked:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried inthe fire, that thou mayest be rich; and whiteraiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and thatthe shame of thy nakedness do not appear;and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, thatthou mayest see.

But, on the other hand, have the religionists faredany better? Even as the scientists have a technicalarrogance, many of the religionists have a corre-sponding spiritual arrogance. Consider the fate ofone Galileo who was severely persecuted by thereligionists of his day because he dared to proposetheories about the earth's rotation and shape."Galileo (1564-1642), Italian physicist and astronomer,who, with the German astronomer Johannes Kepler,initiated the scientific revolution that flowered in thework of the English physicist Sir Isaac Newton. BornGalileo Galilei, his main contributions were, in as-tronomy, the use of the telescope in observation andthe discovery of sunspots, lunar mountains and val-leys, the four largest satellites of Jupiter, and thephases of Venus. In physics, he discovered the lawsof falling bodies and the motions of projectiles. In thehistory of culture, Galileo stands as a symbol of thebattle against authority for freedom of inquiry. ...

He showed little interest in astronomy, although be-ginning in 1595 he preferred the Copernican theory(see ASTRONOMY: THE COPERNICAN THEORY)—that the earth revolves around the sun—to the Aristo-telian and Ptolemaic assumption that planets circle afixed earth. Only the Copernican model supportedGalileo's tide theory, which was based on motions ofthe earth. ...

Early in 1616, Copernican books were subjected tocensorship by edict, and the Jesuit cardinal RobertBellarmine instructed Galileo that he must no longerhold or defend the concept that the earth moves. ...

In 1624 Galileo began a book he wished to call “Dia-logue on the Tides,” in which he discussed the Ptole-maic and Copernican hypotheses in relation to thephysics of tides. In 1630 the book was licensed forprinting by Roman Catholic censors at Rome, but theyaltered the title to Dialogue on the Two Chief WorldSystems (trans. 1661). It was published at Florence in1632. Despite two official licenses, Galileo was sum-moned to Rome by the Inquisition to stand trial for“grave suspicion of heresy.” ...

Since the full publication of Galileo's trial documentsin the 1870s, entire responsibility for Galileo's con-demnation has customarily been placed on the Ro-man Catholic church. This conceals the role of thephilosophy professors who first persuaded theologiansto link Galileo's science with heresy. An investigationinto the astronomer's condemnation, calling for its re-versal, was opened in 1979 by Pope John Paul II. InOctober 1992 a papal commission acknowledged theVatican's error." Many religionists have long argued that the earth isflat and have drawn various models of the earth likea pancake with the sun and stars going through theheavens. But, the spirit of Job remembered some-thing about what it had seen as it watched the earthbeing created. Was the description below writtenby an astronaut or by Job?

JOB 26:7 He stretcheth out the north overthe empty place, and hangeth the earthupon nothing.8 He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds;and the cloud is not rent under them.9 He holdeth back the face of his throne, andspreadeth his cloud upon it.10 He hath compassed the waters withbounds, until the day and night come toan end.

Who, living at that time, can forget that Christmaseve in 1968 when astronauts Borman, Lovell, andAnders orbited the moon and sent back pictures ofthe earth. There the earth was, suspended in space,hanging "upon nothing." And one could see where"the day and night come to an end". One could seethe circular bounds that "compassed the waters".Who says that the scriptures say the earth is flat?

JOB 38:1 Then the LORD answered Jobout of the whirlwind, and said,2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by wordswithout knowledge?3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I willdemand of thee, and answer thou me.

4 Where wast thou when I laid thefoundations of the earth? declare, ifthou hast understanding.

Job 38:21 You know, for you were bornthen, and the number of your days is great!(RSV).

PSA 90:1 Lord, thou hast beenour dwelling place in all genera-tions.2 Before the mountains werebrought forth, or ever thouhadst formed the earth and theworld, even from everlasting to everlast-ing, thou art God.3 Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest,Return, ye children of men.

4 For a thousand years in thysight are but as yesterday whenit is past, and as a watch in thenight.5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood;they are as a sleep: in the morning they arelike grass which groweth up.6 In the morning it flourisheth, and growethup; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.

I'm really very happywith my crutches. Whydo you want me to walkon both feet?

The problem of blindness due to losing contact withthe unseen world of the spirit is not just limited tosome scientists, it is also common to religionistswho major on the "letter of the law" without hav-ing the benefit of the spiritual realm to interpretthe letter.

We have considered the various tree experiencesthat we go through in our ascension to the throneof God. But now we come to the point of beingbirthed from the glassy sea Rev 15:2) and tryingto stand so that we get the victory over the beast,and his image, mark, and number. We can beginto see the dimensions of the Seraphims, but whatis the tree experience we are dealing with?

2CO 3:5 Not that we are sufficient ofourselves to think any thing as of our-selves; but our sufficiency is of God;6 Who also hath made us able ministers ofthe new testament; not of the letter, but of thespirit: for the letter killeth, but the spiritgiveth life.7 But if the ministration of death, written andengraven in stones, was glorious, so that thechildren of Israel could not stedfastly beholdthe face of Moses for the glory of his counte-nance; which glory was to be done away:8 How shall not the ministration of thespirit be rather glorious?

The clue is given to us by that prophet of Zionnamed Isaiah who introduces the subject of theseraphims to us in the following way.

ISA 6:1 In the year that king Uzziah diedI saw also the Lord sitting upon athrone, high and lifted up, and his trainfilled the temple.2 Above it stood the seraphims: each onehad six wings; with twain he covered his face,and with twain he covered his feet, and withtwain he did fly. ... [description of seraphiims) ...

ISA 6:13 But yet in it shall be a tenth, and itshall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree,and as an oak, whose substance is inthem, when they cast their leaves: sothe holy seed shall be the substancethereof.

One might wonder why both a teil tree and an oakis mentioned. Some of the other translations referto the teil tree given above as an terebinth. TheEncyclopedia Judaica has this to say about the tere-binth.

TEREBINTH, a tree of the genus Pistacia of whichfour species grow in Israel (for two of these see *Mas-tic (Lentisk) and *Pistachio). Most important of themare Pistacia atlantica and Pistacia palaestina, whichare among the largest and most widespread foresttrees of Israel. Their biblical name, elah--like--allon,the *oak--is derived from el, meaning strong and sturdy.

Therefore, the "teil tree" (in the KJV) is in the oakfamily. And also, we find that the oak has a mean-ing of being "strong and sturdy". But, what doesthe oak tree have to do with Isaiah's account ofthe seraphims? We can get a clue from the factthat his vision came "In the year that king Uzziahdied". What could the death of Uzziah have to dowith the oak tree?

STRONG ANDSTURDY

The scriptures have quite a bit to say about KingUzziah, but the following sums it up very well.

2CH 26:8 And the Ammonites gave gifts toUzziah: and his name spread abroad even tothe entering in of Egypt; for he strength-ened himself exceedingly.9 Moreover Uzziah built towers in Jerusalemat the corner gate, and at the valley gate, andat the turning of the wall, and fortified them.15 And he made in Jerusalem engines, in-vented by cunning men, to be on the towersand upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows andgreat stones withal. And his name spreadfar abroad; for he was marvellouslyhelped, till he was strong.16 But when he was strong, his heartwas lifted up to his destruction: for hetransgressed against the LORD hisGod, and went into the temple of the LORDto burn incense upon the altar of incense.2CH 26:18 And they withstood Uzziah theking, and said unto him, It appertaineth notunto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto theLORD, but to the priests the sons of Aaron,that are consecrated to burn incense: go outof the sanctuary; for thou hast trespassed;neither shall it be for thine honour from theLORD God.

"While Uzziah was in this state and making prepa-rations [for futurity,] he was corrupted in his mindby pride, and became insolent, and this on ac-count of that abundance which he had of thingsthat will soon perish, and despised that powerwhich is of eternal duration, (which consisted inpiety toward God, and in the observation of hislaws;) so he fell by the occasion of the good suc-cess of his affairs, and was carried headlong intothose sins of his father, which the splendour ofthat prosperity he enjoyed, and the glorious ac-tions he had done, led him into, while he was notable to govern himself well about them.

And so we come to the paradox of the oaktree. It's strength become it's weaknesswhen the confidence and strength is in one'sself rather than the Lord. The scripturesgo on to describe how his strength led himto go into the temple where he was opposedby the priests and tragedy befell him. Wepick up the account from the history ofJosephus.

According, when a remarkable day was come, anda general festival was to be celebrated, he put onthe holy garment, went into the temple to offerincense to God upon the golden altar, which hewas prohibited to do by Azariah the high priest,who had fourscore priests with him, and who toldhim that it was not lawful for him to offer sacrifice,and that "none besides the posterity of Aaron werepermitted so to do." And when they cried out, thathe must go out of the temple, and not transgressagainst God, he was wroth at them, and threat-ened to kill them, unless they would hold theirpeace.

In the meantime, a great earthquake shook theground, and a rent was made in the temple, and thebright rays of the sun shone through it, and fellupon the king's face, insomuch that the leprosyseized upon him immediately; and before the city,at a place called Eroge, half the mountain broke offfrom the rest on the west, and rolled itself fourfurlongs, and stood still at the east mountain, tillthe roads, as well as the king's gardens, werespoiled by the obstruction.

Now, as soon as the priests saw that the king'sface was infected with the leprosy, they told him ofthe calamity he was under, and commanded thathe should go out of the city as a polluted person.Hereupon, he was so confounded at the sad dis-temper, and sensible that he was not at liberty tocontradict, that he did as commanded, underwentthis miserable and terrible punishment for anintention beyond what befitted a man to have, andfor that impiety against God which was implied."

The incident of the earthquake - is also mentionedin Zechariah - that rent the top of the temple suchthat the sun shone through it. This account links itin allegory to the return of Christ. So, if we un-derstand what happened to Uzziah, we can obtainclues about events preceding Christ's return. Andthen Christ's "train" can fill the temple of our body.

ZEC 14:1 Behold, the day of the LORDcometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in themidst of thee.2 For I will gather all nations againstJerusalem to battle; and the city shall betaken, and the houses rifled, and the womenravished; and half of the city shall go forthinto captivity, and the residue of the peopleshall not be cut off from the city.3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fightagainst those nations, as when hefought in the day of battle.

ZEC 14:4 And his feet shall stand in thatday upon the mount of Olives, which isbefore Jerusalem on the east, and the mountof Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof to-ward the east and toward the west, and thereshall be a very great valley; and half of themountain shall remove toward the north, andhalf of it toward the south.5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the moun-tains; for the valley of the mountains shallreach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like asye fled from before the earthquake inthe days of Uzziah king of Judah: andthe LORD my God shall come, and allthe saints with thee.6 And it shall come to pass in that day, thatthe light shall not be clear, nor dark:7 But it shall be one day which shall be knownto the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shallcome to pass, that at evening time it shall belight.8 And it shall be in that day, that living watersshall go out from Jerusalem; half of them to-ward the former sea, and half of them towardthe hinder sea: in summer and in winter shallit be.9 And the LORD shall be king over all theearth: in that day shall there be one LORD,and his name one.10 All the land shall be turned as a plain fromGeba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and itshall be lifted up, and inhabited in herplace, from Benjamin's gate unto theplace of the first gate, unto the cornergate, and from the tower of Hananeelunto the king's winepresses.11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shallbe no more utter destruction; but Jerusalemshall be safely inhabited.12 And this shall be the plague wherewith theLORD will smite all the people that have foughtagainst Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consumeaway while they stand upon their feet, and theireyes shall consume away in their holes, andtheir tongue shall consume away in theirmouth.

We can, like Uzziah, become proud of all the spiri-tual warfare methods we know and conquests ofthe enemy that we have made. But, if we wantChrist's train to fill the temple, we must let the KingUzziah die within us. In that year, we become can-didates to see the seraphims described by Isaiah.

Firmament over Cherubims

Again we return to the temple and the representa-tion above is a front view except that we will useour eyes like x-rays and look inside and see thefirmament in the cloud and fire above theCherubims.

Note that the adjacent Zechariah description doesnot seem to be describing the crucifixion of Christ.Rather it seems to be referring to the second com-ing and the Armageddon type battles.

HEB 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bearthe sins of many; and unto them that lookfor him shall he appear the second timewithout sin unto salvation.

When Jesus was crucified on the cross, this wasour apple tree experience (sweet as apples for us,bitter as apple vinegar for Him).

MAT 27:48 And straightway one of them ran,and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar,and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whetherElias will come to save him.50 Jesus, when he had cried again with aloud voice, yielded up the ghost.51 And, behold, the veil of the templewas rent in twain from the top to thebottom; and the earth did quake, andthe rocks rent;

52 And the graves were opened; and manybodies of the saints which slept arose,53 And came out of the graves after his res-urrection, and went into the holy city, and ap-peared unto many.

When Jesus was crucified, the veil in front of theholiest place was rent and the firstfruit of the res-urrection occurred. But, when He returns a sec-ond time, the firmament over the cherubims willbe split and the Sun of righteousness shall shine inthe glory of transfiguration. First, it shall be, as inHebrews 9:28 "unto them that look for him" andthen it shall be manifested eventually to all theworld. Remember, when Jesus was transfiguredon the mount, He held the three disciples to se-crecy and pulled the glory of the transfigured bodyback within the clay vessel. When He and His dis-ciples went back down the mountain, He had theappearance of a normal man. Jacob also wrestledat Penuel during the night until the "Sun arose uponhim."

Thus, the old temple is cracked and the "Sun"shines in all the glory of the face to face relation-ship with God. No longer do we see through aglass darkly! And also note that the geography ofthe gates is changed: "from Benjamin's gate untothe place of the first gate, unto the corner gate,and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king'swinepresses." But, more about the twelve gatesof the outer city later.

And what is a vital and essential step in this trans-formation?

ROM 12:2 And be not conformed to this world:but be ye transformed by the renewingof your mind, that ye may prove what isthat good, and acceptable, and perfect, will ofGod.

The word transformed above has the root word"metamorphoo" which is the same word used forthe mountain top "transfiguration". In order forthe "Sun" to shine through and remove the dark-ened glass of the veil, we must understand theworkings of the oak tree experience. And the les-son to be learned from Uzziah's experience is tobe let our strength and sufficiency be in the Lordand not in ourselves (2 Cor 3:5).

But once we come to our oak tree experience, weare shown that the "good spiritual works" that weare so proud of can become an albatross aroundour neck. And we can find the oak tree experi-ence marked on the path outlined in the Song ofSolomon. It comes just after the apple tree.

SON 8:2 I would lead thee, and bring theeinto my mother's house, who would instructme: I would cause thee to drink of spiced wineof the juice of my pomegranate.5 Who is this that cometh up from the wilder-ness, leaning upon her beloved? I raisedthee up under the apple tree: there thymother brought thee forth: there she broughtthee forth that bare thee.

6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a sealupon thine arm: for love is strong asdeath; jealousy is cruel as the grave:the coals thereof are coals of fire, whichhath a most vehement flame.7 Many waters cannot quench love, nei-ther can the floods drown it: if a manwould give all the substance of his house forlove, it would utterly be contemned.

REV 12:1 And there appeared a great won-der in heaven; a woman clothed with thesun, and the moon under her feet, and uponher head a crown of twelve stars:2 And she being with child cried,travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.3 And there appeared another wonder inheaven; and behold a great red dragon, hav-ing seven heads and ten horns, and sevencrowns upon his heads.4 And his tail drew the third part of the starsof heaven, and did cast them to the earth: andthe dragon stood before the woman which wasready to be delivered, for to devour her childas soon as it was born.5 And she brought forth a man child,who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron:and her child was caught up unto God,and to his throne.

It is very clear that the Most High has a plan andpreparation for us as we travel the path of returnto Him. If we fail to go through this preparation,the state of our mind spiritually would be like theleprosy manifested in King Uzziah.

HEB 4:15 For we have not an high priest whichcannot be touched with the feeling of our in-firmities; but was in all points tempted like aswe are, yet without sin.16 Let us therefore come boldly untothe throne of grace, that we may obtainmercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

One may wonder about all the vails that we havediscussed since the scripture speaks that we may"come boldly to the throne of grace" and indeedwe may, for the blood of Jesus prepared the way.And the boldness is an attitude of the heart of com-ing before God in earnestness and sincerity. But,what part of us is it that is prepared to come to thethrone of grace? Is it our spirit, our soul, or ourbody - or all three?

And it is true that Jesus made the way for our spiritto return to the throne of grace for our basic salva-tion, but there is a further outworking for the HolySpirit and the Father to deal with our soul and body.Until our mind or soul is dealt with, coming to thethrone of judgement prematurely would result in asoul and body manifestation similar to that whichbefell King Uzziah. We must learn not only to seeworkings of the Son Jesus in one another, but alsothe workings of the Holy Spirit and the Father.And this is a process. The workings of the Son ismanifested in the feast of Passover, the workings ofthe Holy Spirit (the earnest) is manifested in Pente-cost, and workings of the Father is manifested inTabernacles (Heb 8:10,11).

JOH 14:25 These things have I spoken untoyou, being yet present with you.26 But the Comforter, which is the HolyGhost, whom the Father will send in my name,he shall teach you all things, and bring allthings to your remembrance, whatsoever Ihave said unto you.JOH 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him,If a man love me, he will keep my words: andmy Father will love him, and we will comeunto him, and make our abode with him.

Under the apple tree, the manchild is birthed. Andthe dragon of pride and self-sufficiency warsagainst this manchild in the oak tree experience.

REV 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying inheaven, Now is come salvation, and strength,and the kingdom of our God, and the powerof his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren iscast down, which accused them before ourGod day and night.11 And they overcame him by the bloodof the Lamb, and by the word of theirtestimony; and they loved not their livesunto the death.REV 12:15 And the serpent cast out ofhis mouth water as a flood after thewoman, that he might cause her to be car-ried away of the flood.16 And the earth helped the woman, and theearth opened her mouth, and swallowed upthe flood which the dragon cast out of hismouth.

So we go from the bliss of the apple tree experi-ence to the warfare of the oak tree experience.And really, this is no different than Joseph's expe-rience. Joseph overcame all to rule right in themidst of Egypt (or the world). We, who would beovercomers, must learn to do the same. But, inactuality, what was the greatest enemy Joseph hadto overcome. Was it the jealousy of his brothers?Was it the Ishmeelites and Midianites who took himto Egypt? Was it the tribulations of Potiphar;s houseor the horrors of the Pharaoh's prison? Or was itJoseph's pride and self-sufficiency in the coat of manycolors and his father's blessings given to him?

GEN 37:3 Now Israel loved Joseph morethan all his children, because he wasthe son of his old age: and he madehim a coat of many colours.4 And when his brethren saw that their fatherloved him more than all his brethren, theyhated him, and could not speak peaceablyunto him.5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, andhe told it his brethren: and they hatedhim yet the more.7 For, behold, we were binding sheaves inthe field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and alsostood upright; and, behold, your sheavesstood round about, and made obei-sance to my sheaf.

JOB 41:1 Canst thou draw out leviathan withan hook? or his tongue with a cord which thoulettest down?JOB 41:15 His scales are his pride, shut uptogether as with a close seal.34 He beholdeth all high things: he is aking over all the children of pride.

In retrospect, probably even Joseph would haveagreed that his greatest enemy was pride within,rather than mistreatment from without. But, inGod's plan, when it was time for Joseph to ruleand reign, that pride had already been dealt with.

The net effect of the oak tree experience is to high-light the problem with the dragon of pride. But, itremains for the processings of another tree expe-rience to remove that dragon from within. Andthat dragon within sits within the very temple ofthe body on the throne and proclaims he is God.And what is the name of this pretender? -- it is thehuman ego.

2TH 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind,or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word,nor by letter as from us, as that the day ofChrist is at hand.3 Let no man deceive you by any means: forthat day shall not come, except there come afalling away first, and that man of sin be re-vealed, the son of perdition;4 Who opposeth and exalteth himselfabove all that is called God, or that isworshipped; so that he as God sitteth inthe temple of God, shewing himself thathe is God.

The oak tree experience only shows us the activi-ties of the human ego. It is through the experi-ences of another tree that we finally put thismonster's neck in a noose and choke the windpipeof the spirit of the fallen angel behind it. But, inthe meantime we want to learn more about themanifestations of the oak tree.

You will note in Rev 12:11 that they overcame thedragon by the blood of Lamb and the word of theirtestimony. The blood of the Lamb is an absoluteessential to overcome the "brain barrier".

THE BLOOD BARRIER OR VEIL

"Metabolic processes in the brain depend on a steady supply of glucose and oxygen carriedby the blood by means of the arteries. Nerve cells require both substances in abundantamounts because of their constant physiological activity, day and night. Many substancescirculating in the blood do not enter the brain because tiny elements—in both thechoroid plexus of the ventricles and the capillary beds within the brain—act as a mo-lecular and ionic filter. This filtration system is called the blood-brain barrier. Manybiological compounds having a high molecular weight, such as adrenal hormones or aminoacids, do not pass through this barrier readily, and certain smaller molecules and even ionsdo not penetrate the barrier at all, because of their polarity (ionic charge). We think of the blood system for the body as being one blood system. This is onlypartly true because the blood system for the brain receives special treatment.Before the blood supply can go to the brain, it must traverse a veil or "blood-brain barrier." We pick up the account below.

HEB 9:6 Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests wentalways into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.HEB 9:7 But into the second went the high priest alone once everyyear, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errorsof the people:8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all wasnot yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

Certain substances can not penetrate the brainbarrier easily and others readily go to the brainonce ingested. Wine (alcohol) and coffee (caffeine)readily traverse the brain barrier.

To a certain extent, we have discussed the physi-cal functioning of the mind. But the greatest fron-tier remaining is the river of consciousness of themind in thoughts and spirituality. And we thinkthat we know all about ourselves, but do we re-ally? Do we know from whence we have comeand whither we go from here?

PSA 90:4 For a thousand years in thy sightare but as yesterday when it is past, andas a watch in the night.

JOH 1:51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily,I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heavenopen, and the angels of God ascendingand descending upon the Son of man.

EPH 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he as-cended up on high, he led captivity captive,and gave gifts unto men.9 (Now that he ascended, what is it butthat he also descended first into the lowerparts of the earth?10 He that descended is the same also thatascended up far above all heavens, that hemight fill all things.)

We do not really know our past as our spirit de-scended down Jacob's ladder to the earth. Andwe only know a little about the ascent of our spiritback toward God. But how much of what we arenow was formed in this earth and how much of itoccurred from the realms before?

1TI 5:24 Some men's sins are open be-forehand, going before to judgment;and some men they follow after.25 Likewise also the good works of some aremanifest beforehand; and they that are other-wise cannot be hid.

HEB 12:15 Looking diligently lest any manfail of the grace of God; lest any root ofbitterness springing up trouble you, andthereby many be defiled;

When one is dealing with an Esau type root ofbitterness, what realm is that root anchored in? Isit anchored in the earth realm, or did we pick upthe baggage of bitterness somewhere before ourbirth in the earth as we descended Jacob's ladder?

The Bible speaks of the garments of the soul and itwould seem reasonable that each realm results ina garment added to our soul. But, if we do notlearn the lessons of that realm, then our soul isnaked and our soul rewards are more limited.

REV 3:4 Thou hast a few names even inSardis which have not defiled their gar-ments; and they shall walk with me in white:for they are worthy.REV 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief.Blessed is he that watcheth, andkeepeth his garments, lest he walk na-ked, and they see his shame.

JUD 1:23 And others save with fear, pullingthem out of the fire; hating even the gar-ment spotted by the flesh.

1JO 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is inthe light, we have fellowship one with another,and the blood of Jesus Christ his Soncleanseth us from all sin.

The blood of the Lamb is not limited to just theearth realm - it can reach back into previous realmsbefore the foundation of the world and deal withan Esau root of bitterness that occurred even be-fore the world was. And when was the blood ofthe Lamb made available?

The blood of Jesus Christ is an integral part of oursalvation, whether it be for our spirit, soul or body.

REV 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earthshall worship him, whose names are not writ-ten in the book of life of the Lamb slainfrom the foundation of the world.1TH 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctifyyou wholly; and I pray God your whole spiritand soul and body be preserved blame-less unto the coming of our Lord JesusChrist.

Have you ever had an experience where some in-cident happened, and your heart begin to race, yourpalms became sweaty, and the adrenaline flowed?And then, when it was over, you looked at it inperspective and realized that the situation did notwarrant the response that was generated withinyou. Could it be that the most recent incidentreminded you of something that had happened pre-viously and had simply "triggered" the memoriesof that bad event?

Scientists tell us that our brain stores in memoryour reactions to certain traumatic events. Andwhen something triggers that memory, our systemshows all the same reactions as it did to the origi-nal event. And, could it be that part of our reac-tions (or overreactions) to events in the earth realmare flashbacks to some traumatic experiences thathappened in the fall - after we left God's throne -but before we were birthed into the earth.

We are about to begin an adventure in dealing withthe earlier realms but this is something that youshould only do if the Lord personally quickens itto you. As truths are brought forth, we come to abranch in the roads of choice - whether we walk inthat truth - or whether we walk in the path oferror. And for each truth, we will be tested in it.The function of the enemy is to stand at each roadbranch of opportunity and test us in our resolveand choice - and if possible - to mislead us intotaking another road that appears to be very spiri-tual and attractive.

1PE 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being muchmore precious than of gold that perisheth,though it be tried with fire, might be foundunto praise and honour and glory at the ap-pearing of Jesus Christ:

So, before we continue in this adventure, there arecertain preparations and essentials that are neededfor the journey. The first is to acknowledge theshed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and to appro-priate it for our cleansing, our protection, and ourtransformation from one glory to another. We cannot emphasize this too strongly: If you find a groupthat does not honor the role of the shed blood ofthe Lord Jesus Christ - BEWARE!

The second admonition is to beware of groups thatdo not give the Lord Jesus Christ the preeminentplace in the spiritual hierarchy. If Jesus is placedsubservient to any (other than God the Father),trash the literature and avoid the teaching!

EPH 1:19 And what is the exceed-ing greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to theworking of his mighty power,20 Which he wrought in Christ,when he raised him from the dead,and set him at his own right handin the heavenly places,21 Far above all principality, and power, and might,and dominion, and every name that is named, notonly in this world, but also in that which is to come:22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave himto be the head over all things to the church,

The easiest way to find out this information is tosimply ask the group to show you the organiza-tion chart of spiritual hierarchy. And many groupswill place one or more so-called "masters" aboveJesus in this hierarchy.

A third area is that of merchandising the gospel.Granted, there are legitimate expenses that go withpublishing and presenting the gospel. Is provi-sion made to help the poor buy the Bibles that areneeded? Look at the spirit behind how this ishandled and you will know the motivations of theheart. Freely ye have received, freely give!

The fourth area is that of the activity of familiarspirits. A familiar spirit is one that may live alongside or even possess an individual. And when thatperson dies, the familiar spirit will seek a new host.And after that host dies, the familiar spirit will re-side with someone else. The upshot of it is thatthe familiar spirit is familiar with the details of thelives of its many hosts. And these details are pre-sented in many cases as being "past lives on earth"

VULTURESThis would be similar to oneflunking the first grade overand over and over. It com-pletely ignores the blood ofJesus and the hope of resur-rection for those who die.

Yes, it is true that on Jacob's ladder, there are manyrealms that exist simultaneously (at least threeheavens). But, one either descends down the lad-der or ascends back up the ladder. One does notenter the flesh or carne (meat) of this earth overand over and over again. And while we want toexplore the things that happened before the foun-dation of the world, let us not be trapped by hang-ing on to dead doctrines that promise endless cyclesof funerals.

JOH 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am theresurrection, and the life: he thatbelieveth in me, though he were dead,yet shall he live:26 And whosoever liveth and believethin me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Doctrines That PromiseEndless Cycles of Death

These four areas that we have discussed are doc-trines of the dreaded four horsemen of the apoca-lypse in Revelation chapter six. But enough saidon the tactics of the enemy - we must move onwith Jesus as the captain our salvation:

1. We appropriate the blood of Jesus as atonement for sins and as our protection against the enemy.2. We acknowledge that Jesus is the Firstborn Son of God and He is the Head of the Church3. We thank Jesus for the free gift of the gospel and salvation.4. We acknowledge the Jesus Christ has over- come death and is the resurrection and life.

JOH 14:2 In my Father's house are manyrooms: if it were not so, I would have toldyou. I go to prepare a place for you (LAMSA)

Our body is the house and temple of our heavenlyFather. And in that house are many rooms anddimensions that we are not even aware of - par-ticularly within our mind. And, it is Jesus whoprepares these rooms for us.

There are dimensions or rooms within our mindwhich are in our subconscious. From time to time,the memories buried in our subconscious manifestin ways that we do not understand and we evenwonder where these thoughts and actions comefrom. And when certain situations in the worldremind us and "trigger" these memories within us,we are very puzzled at why we react or overreactin certain ways. Some of these memories comefrom even before the foundation of the world. Anduntil our subconscious mind is set in order, we willstill be captive to these imperfections.

The world has had it's methods of trying to cor-rect these problems and most of them have donemore harm than good. Therefore, we must let Jesusbe the governor of this process so that it is doneby His methods and in His way. This is why wehave insisted on acknowledging the position andblood of Jesus. We will not overcome the worldany other way. Those who try to become part ofthe manchild company of overcomers are wastingtheir time unless and until they overcome the en-emy by "the blood of the Lamb and by the word oftheir testimony."

REV 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying inheaven, Now is come salvation, andstrength, and the kingdom of our God,and the power of his Christ: for the ac-cuser of our brethren is cast down,which accused them before our Godday and night.11 And they overcame him by theblood of the Lamb, and by the wordof their testimony; and they loved nottheir lives unto the death.

ECC 3:1 To every thing there is a sea-son, and a time to every purpose un-der the heaven:2 A time to be born, and a time to die; atime to plant, and a time to pluck up that whichis planted;3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time tobreak down, and a time to build up;4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a timeto mourn, and a time to dance;5 A time to cast away stones, and a time togather stones together; a time to embrace,and a time to refrain from embracing;6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time tokeep, and a time to cast away;7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a timeto keep silence, and a time to speak;8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time ofwar, and a time of peace.

There is a time for everything and there is a timefor Jesus to open each of the chambers or roomswithin our subconscious and to set things in orderin that room. If we try to run ahead of the pro-cess, the results can be very harmful. If we areimpatient, we will have tribulation. And that tribu-lation will then work patience. Therefore, can weagree that we should ask Jesus to take control ofthe timing and opening of the chambers of our sub-conscious mind? Are we willing to give the Sonof David the keys to doors of the chambers of ourmind so that our mind may be sealed?

REV 3:7 And to the angel of the church inPhiladelphia write; These things saith he thatis holy, he that is true, he that hath the keyof David, he that openeth, and no manshutteth; and shutteth, and no manopeneth;8 I know thy works: behold, I have set be-fore thee an open door, and no man canshut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hastkept my word, and hast not denied my name.

REV 3:10 Because thou hast kept theword of my patience, I also will keep theefrom the hour of temptation, which shall comeupon all the world, to try them that dwell uponthe earth.11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast whichthou hast, that no man take thy crown.12 Him that overcometh will I make apillar in the temple of my God, and heshall go no more out: and I will write uponhim the name of my God, and the nameof the city of my God, which is new Jerusa-lem, which cometh down out of heaven frommy God: and I will write upon him my newname.

If we are patience in this process and cooperatewith the Lord, our mind is transformed into a newmind. We will no longer have the mark of the beast,but instead will have the "new name" written uponour mind.

Father, El Elyon, MostHigh God, we come to youin the name of Jesus andthrough the shed blood ofJesus.We ask that our minds becleansed and transformed.We ask Jesus to take re-sponsibility for the methodand timing of this process.We ask that all of our sinswould be cleansed and all ofour memories healed fromthe time of the birth of ourspirit to the very presenttime. In our Savior,Yeshua's Name, we askthis , Amen.

When we pray prayers for healing of memories,we sometimes expect Jesus to instantaneously"zap" the offending memories and to be on ourway. And in some cases, He does work in an in-stantaneous way. But, in most cases - as shown inthe scriptures below - it will be a process - donelittle by little till the whole is accomplished.

Note in Deuteronomy 7:20 that these kings "hidethemselves from thee". And the Lord will send a"hornet" to stir up these kings so that we may be-come aware of them and destroy them. And whatis the "hornet". It is a circumstance or a some-what offensive person specifically used by theLord to bring a hidden king of a stronghold to thesurface - even if we have hidden it under layers ofChristian piety.

So, if you have prayed the prayer on the adjacentpage, have your spiritual eyes open as to how theLord might answer your prayer. And if a hornetcomes, cooperate with the Lord to destroy thathidden king which has come to the surface withinyour very own being.

EXO 23:28 And I will send hornets be-fore thee, which shall drive out the Hivite,the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from beforethee.29 I will not drive them out from beforethee in one year; lest the land becomedesolate, and the beast of the field mul-tiply against thee.30 By little and little I will drive themout from before thee, until thou be in-creased, and inherit the land.

DEU 7:20 Moreover the LORD thy God willsend the hornet among them, until they thatare left, and hide themselves from thee,be destroyed.

When many Christians think of Tabernacles, theythink of one giant step from Pentecost to Taber-nacles. But actually, there are the smaller steps oftrumpets and atonement before we come to Tab-ernacles. The impossible step becomes possible ifwe take the smaller steps in the order prescribed.

We can see these steps in Jacob's journey. Hestarted at Beersheeba and came to Rachel's well inPadan-aram. It was at Gilead that he left the in-part Pentecost realm of Laban behind and jour-neyed toward Tabernacles. It was at Mahanaimthat he received the vision of the "mahanaim" orthe two armies of the left and right described inSongs 6:13. It was at Peniel that he wrestled withthe angel and the "Sun arose upon him." He thencrossed the Jordan and came into the promisedland to celebrate Succoth or booths. But his jour-ney was far from done. He would then come toShechem and the dreaded "oak tree experience".

JACOB'S JOURNEY

GEN 35:4 And they gave unto Jacob all thestrange gods which were in their hand, and alltheir earrings which were in their ears; andJacob hid them under the oak whichwas by Shechem.

The paradox of the oak tree is that we can hideour idols under the strength of the Christian worksthat we are doing. Consider the words of Paul ashe describes this paradox.

2CO 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace issufficient for thee: for my strength is madeperfect in weakness. Most gladly thereforewill I rather glory in my infirmities, that thepower of Christ may rest upon me.

ACT 9:17 And Ananias went his way, andentered into the house; and putting his handson him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, evenJesus, that appeared unto thee in the way asthou camest, hath sent me, that thoumightest receive thy sight, and be filledwith the Holy Ghost.18 And immediately there fell from hiseyes as it had been scales: and he re-ceived sight forthwith, and arose, and wasbaptized.

JOB 41:15 His scales are his pride, shut uptogether as with a close seal.JOB 41:1 Canst thou draw out leviathan withan hook? or his tongue with a cord which thoulettest down?

And so it was, that Paul, a pharisee of the phari-sees, found the scales of the leviathan dragon ofpride peering out from the very eyes of his owntemple. And, it was the blinding light of the LordJesus Christ that removed those scales.

It was at Shechem, that Jacob and his family learnedsome very expensive lessons. First, considerJacob's only daughter, a virgin named Dinah whodecided that she would go out to tour the land.And she got herself into tremendous and far reach-ing trouble, because she went out naively and with-out protection. She was not warned about whatmight happen to her.

GEN 34:1 And Dinah the daughter of Leah,which she bare unto Jacob, went out to seethe daughters of the land.2 And when Shechem the son of Hamor theHivite, prince of the country, saw her, he tookher, and lay with her, and defiled her.

And there are many that go out to various groupswith all the innocence of a Dinah and find, in theend, that their mind has been raped by the veryones who supposedly were helping them. Andsince the soul is where thoughts are conceived andis feminine, this experience can happen to bothnatural men and women.

We can not emphasize strongly enough how im-portant the protection of the blood, name and tim-ing of the Lord Jesus Christ is when you come toShechem and your oak tree experience. Yes, youmay find someone to teach you the techniques ofthe "primordial scream" to "clear your mind" butwhat price will you pay?

There was another king that was brought to thesurface by the incident at Shechem. And this kingmanifested in Simeon and Levi who took pride inthe strength of their sword. A parallel in today'sterms would be use the sword of the "word" toslay someone. We may be right - but also cruel.

GEN 34:24 And unto Hamor and untoShechem his son hearkened all that went outof the gate of his city; and every male wascircumcised, all that went out of the gate ofhis city.25 And it came to pass on the third day, whenthey were sore, that two of the sons ofJacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinah's breth-ren, took each man his sword, andcame upon the city boldly, and slew allthe males.26 And they slew Hamor and Shechem hisson with the edge of the sword, and took Dinahout of Shechem's house, and went out.27 The sons of Jacob came upon the slain,and spoiled the city, because they had de-filed their sister.

And while this revenge was sweet to Simeon andLevi and proved their strength and virility, it camealso with a price - when it was time for their father'sblessing to be given. Their own strength had be-come an idol to them - manifesting in cruelty.

GEN 49:5 Simeon and Levi are breth-ren; instruments of cruelty are in theirhabitations.6 O my soul, come not thou into their secret;unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thouunited: for in their anger they slew a man, andin their selfwill they digged down a wall.7 Cursed be their anger, for it wasfierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel:I will divide them in Jacob, and scatterthem in Israel.

EZE 6:13 Then shall ye know that I am theLORD, when their slain men shall beamong their idols round about their altars,upon every high hill, in all the tops of the moun-tains, and under every green tree, and un-der every thick oak, the place where theydid offer sweet savour to all their idols.

We say that we want to be overcomers and over-come all things - even death. But, when we cometo our oak tree experience, either we overcomethe spirit of pride or it buries us beneath theoak tree. Consider the fate of one who was bur-ied under the oak tree at Jabesh-Gilead.

1SA 15:17 And Samuel said, When thouwast little in thine own sight, wast thounot made the head of the tribes of Is-rael, and the LORD anointed thee king overIsrael?18 And the LORD sent thee on a journey, andsaid, Go and utterly destroy the sinners theAmalekites, and fight against them until theybe consumed.23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,and stubbornness is as iniquity andidolatry. Because thou hast rejected the wordof the LORD, he hath also rejected thee frombeing king.

1CH 10:12 They arose, all the valiant men,and took away the body of Saul, and thebodies of his sons, and brought them toJabesh, and buried their bones underthe oak in Jabesh, and fasted seven days.

It is curious that the oak tree is a symbol of ourstrength in God and yet at the same time can be asymbol of pride which can become our downfall.

2SA 14:25 But in all Israel there wasnone to be so much praised asAbsalom for his beauty: from the sole ofhis foot even to the crown of his head therewas no blemish in him.14:26 And when he polled his head, (for itwas at every year's end that he polled it: be-cause the hair was heavy on him ...2SA 18:9 And Absalom met the servants ofDavid. And Absalom rode upon a mule, andthe mule went under the thick boughs of agreat oak, and his head caught hold ofthe oak, and he was taken up betweenthe heaven and the earth; and the mule thatwas under him went away.10 And a certain man saw it, and told Joab,and said, Behold, I saw Absalom hangedin an oak.

MAT 15:13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which myheavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.

It is said that the enemy tries to counterfeit everything that God has. So, if Godhas twelve manner of fruit which make up the tree of life - the enemy will try tocounterfeit it. And these corrupt, counterfeit trees of the enemy were used tobring about the fall. Therefore, if we are to rid ourselves of the memories andtrauma of the fall, these trees that our heavenly Father hath not planted must berooted out and destroyed. It appears that enemy has twelve main strongholds inthe human psyche and these are listed as spirits at various places in the scriptures.So, we will list these twelve counterfeits.

PRO 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

NUM 5:14 And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she bedefiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be notdefiled:

MAR 9:25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit,saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter nomore into him.

ISA 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil ofjoy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be calledtrees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

1JO 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God:and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even nowalready is it in the world.

2CH 18:21 And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. Andthe Lord said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do even so.

1SA 28:7 Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, thatI may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman thathath a familiar spirit at Endor.

ISA 19:14 The LORD hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have causedEgypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.

And these incidentswill cause emotions which could be sorrow, anger,rage, fear, etc. While we can avoid unpleasant situ-ations to a degree - others are part of life and mustbe faced and dealt with. And the more importantaspect is not the incident itself, but how we dealwith it. Even God and Jesus expressed emotions -so we must deal with our emotions - but in a posi-tive way.

GEN 6:6 And it repented the LORD that hehad made man on the earth, and it grieved himat his heart.

PSA 79:5 How long, LORD? wilt thou be angryfor ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?

SORROW AND GRIEF

Once an incident occurs, we willdeal with it in one way or theother. We will either deal withand resolve the situation posi-tively or the pain of it will sur-

face in other ways and result in negative conse-quences. A negative consequence could result frommisdirected anger. Instead of dealing with the prob-lem, the anger is vented at whatever is nearby whichcauses negative consequences and then depression,shame, and guilt. This then results in other inci-dents which starts the whole cycle over again. Thisdownward cycle is a type of the fall. Esau's diffi-culty started when he sold his birthright. He thenbecame bitter because he no longer had the rightsof the elder son and begin to vent his jealousy, an-ger, and hatred against Jacob. But, Esau could havebroken the cycle by dealing with those problemswhich caused him so much distress that he was will-ing to sell his birthright. Instead, he fell into a down-ward spiral that ultimately caused him untold grief.

If you look closely at the adjacentdrawing, you will see that two ofthe roots are rooted in the sins thatwere committed in the earth.. But,one root goes much deeper thanthat. It is tied into to something thathappened before birth.

DAN 4:14 He cried aloud, and said thus, Hewdown the tree, and cut off his branches, shakeoff his leaves, and scatter his fruit: let the beastsget away from under it, and the fowls from hisbranches:15 Nevertheless leave the stump of hisroots in the earth, even with a band ofiron and brass, in the tender grass of the field;and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and lethis portion be with the beasts in the grass of theearth:

Some think that the fall is only that which ends inphysical death - and for Adam and descendents,that is the way of earth. But the fall from heavento heaven is also a diminishing of the spirit andsoul so that they no longer function in the mannerthat they were first created. When Jesus came tobecome subject to the infirmities and temptationsof earth, he had to "empty Himself" to come downto our level coming down through at least threeheavens. Consider the fall of Nebuchadnezzar.

PSA 25:6 Remember, O LORD, thy tender mer-cies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they havebeen ever of old.7 Remember not the sins of my youth,nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy re-member thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.

It appears that the king of Babylon fell down astairs of seven steps in order to learn that El Elyon,the Most High God rules all things.

Have you ever wondered why some people willgo through a deliverance for some condition andfor a while will do just wonderfully? Then, lateron, the condition will return and sometimes be-come worse than it was initially. Could it be thatthey had asked forgiveness and appropriated theblood of Jesus only for those sins and faults thatoccurred in their earth experience? They were notaware that the blood of Jesus could be applied backinto the earlier realms to the very root of the prob-lem which caused the fall. Then, the unresolvedroot of bitterness would sprout back on them.

We have our conscious mind and we have our sub-conscious mind that has chambers and doors of an-cient times and experiences. We will not be totallywhole until both the conscious and subconsciousminds have been cleansed. The subconscious mindis opened up like opening the layers of an onion. Thetears and griefs of one realm are dealt with and thenthe next is opened - until finally the whole is purified.

PSA 24:7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and beye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the Kingof glory shall come in.

ADDICTION - SOMETHING THAT TAKES AWAY OUR FREEDOM OF CHOICE (OR ABILITY TO CHOOSE TO ACHIEVE OUR GOD GIVEN POTENTIAL).

And, because we are so conditioned to falling short of our God given potential, we fall into a victim'smind set - which is the same mind set of prisoner in captivity.

VICTIM'SMIND SET - RECEIVES COMMUNICATIONS IN A NEGATIVE FORM AND FEELS LIKE THEY ARE VICTIMIZED BY EVEN THOSE WHO ARE TRYING TO HELP THEM. DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO SET NEW HORIZONS OR NEW PRINCIPLES FOR A CHANGED LIFE.

EPH 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift ofChrist.8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gavegifts unto men.JOH 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I cometo thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me,that they may be one, as we are.

We are asking our Heavenly Father and Jesus to lead our captivity captive. In other words,the very things that have kept us in bondage will be put in bondage themselves and we will beset free of all captivity. Then, we, like Jesus, may say of the enemy:

JOH 14:30 ... for the prince of this worldcometh, and hath nothing in me.

Please consider the prayer given below and the Lord's timing for you to pray it.

We usually define addiction as being unable to escape the influence of habit forming substances such asdrugs or alcohol. But, in a much broader sense, addiction can be defined as follows:

Father, El Elyon, Most High God and our Heavenly Father, we come to you inthe name of Jesus and through the blood of Jesus. We acknowledge the scripturethat states, "Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall berooted up." Father, we ask that by your processes and perfect timing that allseeds and plants which the enemy has planted within us in any realm would berooted up and removed. We ask redemption in all realms by Jesus' blood. Weask that our captivity to the enemy any in way will be reversed and that "captiv-ity shall be led captive." We ask this in the name of Yeshua, our Savior. Amen.

PSA 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall givethee the desires of thine heart.

While most of work in leading captivity captive belongs to Jesus and the Father, thereis a very important element of this work that belongs to us. And that is to cooperate byour own free will in earnestly desiring the changes that renew the mind. So, we mustaccept responsibility for our own behavior in this effort and work hand in hand withour Savior. And truly, the desires in our heart will be those desires that are placedthere by our Heavenly Father - so that His desires and our desires of the heart are oneand the same. And a mind set is like a mold. Will we allow our mind to be squeezedby the world's mold or will it be expanded to fit the heavenly pattern?

ROM 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye trans-formed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what isthat good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Ultimately, each one of us is to be under our own vine and fig tree and have a face toface relationship with God. But, in the meantime, a child leans upon it's mother breastfor milk. But after, a while that child should grow up and become weaned. When welean on others for support, we should examine the foundations of those whose helpwe seek. If these foundations are built on sand, then we will not really have beenhelped. We refer to a childhood cartoon to illustrate this point.

There is another type of behavior that depends on the interactive behavior of oth-ers. It is called co-dependency. The scriptures point out the fallacy of co-depen-dent relationships which are built on shaky foundations.

The first little piggy built his house of straw. Andwhen the straw house was huffed and puffed down,the first little piggy sought shelter with the secondlittle piggy who had a house of sticks. So, the firstlittle piggy entered into a co-dependent relation-ship with the second little piggy. And both of themhad their confidence in a house of sticks that wassoon huffed and puffed away.

JAM 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, lethim ask of God, that giveth to all men liber-ally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be givenhim.6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering.For he that wavereth is like a wave ofthe sea driven with the wind andtossed.7 For let not that man think that he shall re-ceive any thing of the Lord.8 A double minded man is unstable inall his ways.

And then the first and second little piggies tookshelter in the brick house built by the third littlepiggy. And when the wind and waves come, thehouse remained secure.

And so we learn from our experiences to examineour relationships. If the interactive behaviors onlypromote weakness and dependency, then it is timeto look from a different perspective. It is time toask for the wisdom from above that God gives lib-erally and upbraideth us not for asking.

The third little piggy had choices to make when hewas about to build his house. He made an indepen-dent choice to make his house sturdy so that hewould be protected. But, there was a co-depen-dent pressure on him before he built to depend on thestraw and sticks architecture being used by his broth-ers. And even though he made an independent choicefrom the errors of his brothers, he still loved his broth-ers. And while he offered them sound counsel abouthouses, he did not press the case further while theywere living in their straw and stick houses.

In other words, the third little piggy did not at-tempt to rescue his brothers living in their housesbecause they did not want to be rescued. How-ever, when calamity befell them and they recog-nized the error of their ways, the third little piggyopened his brick house to them in order that theymight be protected. Isn't this what Jesus does withus? If we insist on building co-dependent rela-tionships with houses of straw and sticks, He willlet us have our freedom of choice. But, when thestorms come and the co-dependent relationshipfails, Jesus is always there to guide us to the rock.

And part of the stability of the rock is remaining inperfect balance and not being washed back andforth by doubleminded-like waves of the sea.Some Christians feel that a perfect behavior pat-tern is always to turn the other cheek and be like alamb led to the slaughter. After all, isn't that whatJesus tells us in Luke 6:29? Note the top panel onthe page to the right. If our personality is suchthat our lamb nature is predominant and we have alittle, bitty lion for protection, we will certainlyget slaughtered. But, isn't this what Jesus teaches?

Yes, it was His mission to be a "lamb led to the slaugh-ter" for our sins. But, before we assume that this is thetype of personality that we should always manifest -consider the middle panel. Here we have a little, bittylamb and a large lion - a lion which displays overwhelm-ing power and authority. And when Jesus came intothe temple and saw the money changers merchandis-ing the things of God, His authority and anger be-came powerfully known to the money changers. Hetook a scourge of small cords and drove them out.So, is a display of authority and even anger appro-priate for a Christian? We need to take our thoughtsout of the arena of how we want to react and con-sider what is appropriate for those that we aredealing with. What would God have them learnfrom our dealings with them? In the case of the moneychangers, the tenderness of the lamb nature wouldnot have brought about the correction that wasneeded. And in the bottom panel, we see a balancingof the love and authority that was needed by thewoman about to be stoned. There was no doubt inthe woman's mind about Jesus' love for her (as alamb), but at the same time, she knew the authorityof His admonition (as a lion). A perfect balance!.

The names and natures of the Godhead are given inPsalm 91:1&2. Yahweh is the giver of the law andis the masculine, lion like power. El Shaddai em-bodies the Wisdom of Proverbs 8 and has the femi-nine, lamb like nature. She is Yahweh's delight.Yahweh and El Shaddai together manifest theElohim - which is both male and female in nature.And the All in All of all the natures is El Elyon whichis another name for the Most High God.

"Seven Spiritsof God"

Jesus is the priest of El Elyon,the Most High God. Assuch, He representsthe perfect bal-ance of theGodhead.

GEN 1:26 And God [Elohim] said, Let usmake man in our image, after our likeness:and let them have dominion over the fish of thesea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle,and over all the earth, and over every creepingthing that creepeth upon the earth.27 So God created man in his own image, in theimage of God [Elohim] created he him;male and female created he them.

The potential for doublemindedness occurred whenthe tree of good and evil was placed in the garden.For it was in garden that the serpent caused abreach in the mind and took advantage of the na-kedness of the soul that had already occurred. Andwhat is the garden? Isn't it our soul?

ISA 58:11 And the LORD shall guide thee con-tinually, and satisfy thy soul in drought,and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt belike a watered garden, and like a spring ofwater, whose waters fail not.12 And they that shall be of thee shallbuild the old waste places: thou shalt raiseup the foundations of many generations;and thou shalt be called, The repairer of thebreach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

We are promised that there will be a restoration ofthe soul that was wasted and the foundations thatwere disrupted. But, it does appear that the serpentwas allowed to disturb even the foundations of oursoul. In other words, the serpent put sand in ourfoundations so that when the waves ofdoublemindedness washed back and forth, our housesfell into disrepair. Our soul was breached and wefunctioned at only a fraction of our potential.

MAT 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A citythat is set on an hill cannot be hid.REV 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make apillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go nomore out: and I will write upon him the name ofmy God, and the name of the city of myGod, which is new Jerusalem, whichcometh down out of heaven from myGod: and I will write upon him my new name.REV 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, newJerusalem, coming down from God outof heaven, prepared as a bride adornedfor her husband.

In the realm of the kingdom within, the New Jerusa-lem is that city set on a hill (our renewed soul) whichcomes down out of heaven. The soul conceivesthoughts and is feminine (in both natural men andwomen). When we are transformed by the renew-ing of our mind, our soul is changed or transformedso that she is like a bride adorned for her husband.

In the creation patterned after Elohim, the creationwas one creature, having both male and femaleattributes. And all the trees of the garden weregood to eat - there was no fracture into a tree oflife and a tree of good and evil.

GEN 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have givenyou every herb bearing seed, which isupon the face of all the earth, and everytree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yieldingseed; to you it shall be for meat.

And then, Adam was formed after that. Note thathe was not created, but that he was formed. Andrather than being created by Elohim (which in-cludes El Shaddai and Yahweh), he was formedby the Yahweh nature of the Elohim family.

GEN 2:7 And the LORD God [YahwehElohim] formed man of the dust of theground, and breathed into his nostrils the breathof life; and man became a living soul.

And it was after this formation, that the fractureshowed up in the formed Adam in the way of aseparation into man and woman and a resultingnakedness of the soul.

GEN 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge ofgood and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in theday that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.GEN 2:21 And the LORD God [YahwehElohim] caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam...22 And the rib, which the LORD God[Yahweh Elohim] had taken from man,made he a woman, and brought her unto theman.25 And they were both naked, the man andhis wife, and were not ashamed.

The above outlines the twelve foundations of the wall of the New Jerusalem.Now, we will ask the question, how many of the above foundations was theenemy allowed to damage when he was in Eden's garden? For a clue, look onthe page to your right.

When we compare the list of the nine stones above with the list of the twelve stones fromRevelation 21, we find that most of them match (note = = signs denoting matches in thedrawing on the page to the left). But we have some leftovers which we are not sureabout. And while we could spend additional time trying to completely match the remain-ing stones, we will be content to simply point out what we have not yet matched.

Also, we can match the nine stones that the enemy appropriated as a covering with nine ofthe twelve stones in the breastplate. Note that the matching stones are underlined in theverses below describing the breastplate. Strangely enough, the missing three stones notmatched are the ligure, agate, and amethyst in the third row of the breast plate.

With the widespread use of the internet, many companies have what is called a "firewall"program which monitors and regulates messages flowing into and out of the companycomputer system. This "firewall" is to deny unauthorized access and to screen out mes-sages which have "viruses". It does appear that the enemy has been able to breach thesecurity of the nine lower realms and bring viruses, diseases, and even death into the veryfoundations of our mind.

Like a transformer lowers voltage, the Most High God [Hebrew Name El Elyon] madeHis presence, throne and natures less fiery from the highest (twelfth) realm to the firstrealm where Jesus walked the earth in the form of a man as a mediator for men. It is ourbelief that the holy "fire" of the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth realms was literally too hot forthe enemy to breach. And does the Most High God have a plan to restore that full firewallof protection around our tabernacle. Yes, He does!

ISA 4:1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We willeat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to takeaway our reproach.2 In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious,and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem,shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shallhave purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judg-ment, and by the spirit of burning.5 And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon herassemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flamingfire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.

The seven woman represent the seven garmentsof the soul and the soul is covered in all sevenrealms by the garment of one Man as outlined inthe verses below:

ROM 13:12 The night is far spent, the day isat hand: let us therefore cast off the works ofdarkness, and let us put on the armourof light.14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ,and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfilthe lusts thereof.

The seven steps of the soul can be found in thetabernacle in the wilderness. They start with rec-ognizing Jesus as the Son of God and coming inouter court gate way into the body of Christ - andcontinue in the outer court with the Lamb sacri-fice at the altar (forgiveness) and water baptism atthe laver. They end with the fiery presence abovethe ark (Cherubims at the garden gate). Then, webegin to leave the earth walk and ascend into therealms of the Spirit toward the throne of the MostHigh God.

Unfortunately, when we come back into the gar-den (the eighth realm of the soul), we find thatsame serpent enemy that beguiled the Adam racein the beginning. Apparently, the enemy penetratednot only the eighth foundation - but also the ninthfoundation and these must be restored.

Once we come back to the garden, we have comeinto the seventh realm of the soul or the Adamrealm. But the eighth realm is above the Adamrealm and is known as the elohim realm.

GEN 1:27 So God [Elohim] created manin his own image, in the image of God cre-ated he him; male and female created hethem.

And did the enemy penetrate this eighth realm and razethe foundation of the elohims created in the image ofElohim? Let, us read the account of what happened.

PSA 82:1 God [Elohim] standeth in thecongregation of the mighty; he judgethamong the gods [elohims].2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and acceptthe persons of the wicked? Selah.3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justiceto the afflicted and needy.4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out ofthe hand of the wicked.5 They know not, neither will they understand;they walk on in darkness: all the founda-tions of the earth are out of course.6 I have said, Ye are gods [elohims]; andall of you are children of the most High[El Elyon].7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like oneof the princes.

And we should point out that the most literal trans-lation of Genesis 1:1 is "In a beginning" and not"In the beginning".

The darkness, chaos, and foundations being out ofcourse manifested in the eighth or elohim realm.We would proposed that the fall began in the ninthrealm when the enemy razed the ninth foundation.Remember, the spiritual world is the pattern, andwhat happens in the spirit world will eventuallymanifest in the earth world. ISA 58:11 And the LORD shall guide theecontinually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, andmake fat thy bones: and thou shalt be likea watered garden, and like a spring of wa-ter, whose waters fail not.

12 And they that shall be of thee shall buildthe old waste places: thou shalt raiseup the foundations of many genera-tions; and thou shalt be called, The repairerof the breach, The restorer of paths todwell in.

If you are ready to rebuild the old waste places,raise up the foundations, repair the breach, andrestore the paths in which we once walked, thenwe would recommend that you pray the scripturesgiven above. For the promises of God are given inscripture and are "yea" and "Amen." Also, youmay want to pray Isaiah 4:4-6 in order that the"firewall" of glory for a defence be restored overyour tabernacle. But, before you do, be willing toput yourself in the "spirit of judgment, and spiritof burning" so that God may correct things need-ing correction. And finally, remember that theblood of Jesus is available for healing in all the subconscious realms - even before the earth existed!

JESUS - THE ONE WHO LEADS USBACK TO THE FATHER'S THRONE

The page to the left gives a bare outline of howJesus leads the way and marks the path for us toreturn to the blessings of the Most High God.

You will note, although it is somewhat veiled, thatJesus went through His tree experiences - some ofthe bare details we have outlined here. It was atBethany that Mary anointed His head with the vialof costly spikenard. He then went to Jerusalemand encountered the unfruitful fig tree. He rodeinto Jerusalem on a roadway of palm branches.He brought judgement to the temple by castingout the money changers.

Then Jesus had His experience in the garden ofGethsemanee which means "olive press" . It washere that He overcame His own self will.

MAT 26:53 Thinkest thou that I cannotnow pray to my Father, and he shallpresently give me more than twelve le-gions of angels?54 But how then shall the scriptures be ful-filled, that thus it must be?

And in the above scripture, Jesus dealt with theoak tree of pride in one's strength. When He wascrucified, He received the apple vinegar juice onthe hyssop and gave up the ghost. He was buried,resurrected and then appeared to His followers.He went to Bethany [house of dates] andBethphage [house of green figs] on the side of themount of Olives and ascended into the heavens.

He then sat at the right hand of the Father and askedthe Father to send the Holy Spirit (or El Shaddainature) back to the earth to the upper room. Theearnest of the Spirit was received at Pentecost withthe fullness to follow later. One might ask why itwas necessary to send back the Spirit - why had theSpirit left man in the first place and when did it leave?In Genesis 1:2, we are told that the Spirit brooded(Hebrew word is rachaph] over the dark waters.The following verses seem to support that the Spirit'sdeparture from the "sons of men" was sometimeafter the "chaos" of Genesis 1:2.

Enoch 42:1 Wisdom found not a place onearth where she could inhabit; her dwellingtherefore is in heaven.42:2 Wisdom went forth to dwell among thesons of men, but she obtained not an habita-tion. Wisdom returned to her place, and seatedherself in the midst of the angels ...

And after the earnest of the Spirit is sent to fallenmankind (Pentecost), it is time for the fullness tobe sent and truly the fullness of the Godhead willtabernacle with men. It is time for the New Jerusa-lem to descend.

Jesus is the One who knows the path and we fol-low in the path marked by Him. For it is a processof becoming - which when completed will resultin us not only seeing the Son Jesus in each other,but also the Spirit and the Father - the fullness ofthe Godhead. This requires us to look beyond see-ing the ministry of sonship only in others - we areto look for the very fullness of the Godhead.

JOH 17:21 That they all may be one; asthou, Father, art in me, and I in thee,that they also may be one in us: that theworld may believe that thou hast sent me.22 And the glory which thou gavest me I havegiven them; that they may be one, evenas we are one:

The process that we are talking about is a process ofrestoration. It is not only restoring the age old founda-tions, but also setting the walls and gates in place also.Some of the doors are more inner doors of the spirit andothers are gates that lead outward to the body.

PSA 24:9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates;even lift them up, ye everlasting doors;and the King of glory shall come in.10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD ofhosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.25:1 Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.

After Solomon built the temple in all of its glory,there came a division into northern and southerntribes and a falling away. The end of this processwas the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple.The walls were breached and the foundations razed.

LAM 4:1 How is the gold become dim! how isthe most fine gold changed! the stones ofthe sanctuary are poured out in the top ofevery street.2 The precious sons of Zion, comparable tofine gold, how are they esteemed as earthenpitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!

The walls and gates were broken down and theHebrews went into Babylonian captivity. Aboutseventy years later, the exiles returned and beganthe process of rebuilding the walls, the gates, andthe city. Note the twelve gates that were rebuilt -shown on the page to the right.

The twelve gates of Jerusa-lem are shown above insummarized form. Duringthe oak tree experi-ence, the landscape of thegates is shifted consider-ably. This was whenUzziah went into thetemple to burn incense andwas afflicted with leprosy.

ZEC 14:5 And ye shall fleeto the valley of the moun-tains; for the valley of themountains shall reach untoAzal: yea, ye shall flee, likeas ye fled from before theearthquake in the days ofUzziah king of Judah: andthe LORD my God shallcome, and all the saints withthee.14:10 All the land shall beturned as a plain fromGeba to Rimmon south ofJerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhab-ited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto theplace of the first gate, unto the corner gate, andfrom the tower of Hananeel unto the king'swinepresses.ZEC 14:11 And men shall dwell in it, and thereshall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalemshall be safely inhabited.

Note in the above verses, it is describing a place ofsafety, a place that we can run into - a valley of themountains. We will select point A at the water gateas Benjamin's gate of the right hand and proceed topoint B which we have designated as the first gate.

It is the East Gate, (or Beautiful Gate) the pointat which the Sun of Righteousness begins the day.Next, we will go to the Corner gate (point C) whichNehemiah places above the Sheep Gate. From theCorner gate, we will go to the tower of Hananeel(point E) just adjacent to the Fish gate (point F).And then we go point E which is the tower ofHananeel to the king's winepresses which wouldlogically be in the king's gardens near the waterand fountain gates. The area that we have "ropedoff" so to speak, is the area of a plain which willlifted up where there will be safety.

While it is possible that the Lord will choose aliteral fulfillment of the verses in Zechariah, let usagain put it into the context of the 'kingdom within".It appears that the lower gates, shown just below,will have some very drastic alterations.

AN EYE, THE TRUMP SHALL SOUND(AND THE COCOON SHALL SPLIT)

And it is this process that we have been lookingfor. The butterfly will no longer be imprisoned inthe terrestrial cocoon. The prison gate of groan-ing creation will be flung wide open, and the but-terfly will emerge from the cocoon. After a transi-tion period, the wings dry, and the butterfly fliesthrough the east gate into the beautiful blue sky andinto the sunshine of the Sun of righteousness. Nowonder the east gate is also called the beautiful gate!

ROM 8:22 For we know that the whole cre-ation groaneth and travaileth in pain to-gether until now.23 And not only they, but ourselves also, whichhave the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we our-selves groan within ourselves, waiting for theadoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

It would appear that these lower, and more outergates involve certain of the food digestion, wasteelimination, and "pain of childbirth" reproductiveprocesses. These will be changed when the bodyis transformed from the terrestrial body into thecelestial body.

When our eye twinkles with the light of revelationknowledge, the last trump will sound, and the ter-restrial body within us will be split out and removed- as in Uzziah's earthquake. Into the "valley of themountains" left by this earthquake, the celestialbody will be formed and expanded. We will havegone through a transformation (or metamorpho-sis) by the renewing of our mind. And what is itthat the process described just above reminds youof? Well, you probably have already guessed it.

ROM 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, bythe mercies of God, that ye present yourbodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptableunto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world:but be ye transformed by the renewingof your mind, that ye may prove what is thatgood, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We have discussed the transformation of the ter-restrial body into a celestial body - but a process isinvolved. We go through transformation by therenewing of our mind first. And transformation isaccomplished by non - conformation to the prin-ciples of this world. And the principles of thisworld thrive on the confusion of Babylon. We canescape Babylon by seeing what it really is and re-fusing to be part of it - because God has some-thing much higher and greater for us. Paradoxi-cally, when we quit trying to hang on to the rag-gedy riches of Babylon is when we receive God'sgreatest treasures. Perhaps the little story follow-ing best illustrates this.

Some years ago, a high school commencementspeaker related a little story about how importantit would be for the graduates to keep their eyes onspiritual values in addition to simply pursuing ameans of making a living. We do not know thetitle of the story or its author, but were quite im-pressed by it. So, here is the gist of the story.

It seems that there were two high school caterpil-lar students named Brett and Bonnie who gradu-ated and began crawling down the road of life to-ward adulthood. These two little caterpillars wereoff on the adventure of their lives and the roadwas taking them into new and yet unseen terri-tory. And as they crawled the road others joinedthem and they became aware that they were com-ing to a city. And as they came into the midst ofthe city there was a large and steep hill. And cat-erpillars were coming from all directions to climbthis hill. On the lower ascents of the hill, it waslike a picnic. Everyone was very helpful andfriendly and assisted each other in the climb of thehill.

Where was everyone going? Brett helped Bonnieup on a rock to see. Off in the distance, at the topof the hill was a large pole and caterpillars fromeverywhere were crowded around it. As Bonnieand Brett got closer, they noticed a change in theatmosphere of the crowd. The friendliness hadbeen replaced by competitiveness. And at the verybase of the pole there was much jostling and shov-ing in order to be able to climb up the pole.

THEHILL OFSUCCESS

Those that made it on to the pole had to push theirway through others to climb it. And as caterpil-lars made their way up further, there was muchelbowing and clawing in order to move upward.And when one would reach the very top of thepole, he would continually shove others down tokeep them from taking his place. The one at thattop was "king of the hill" but after a while, he wouldlose out and someone else would put up a viciousstruggle and take his place.

As Bonnie and Brett observed this, Brett said, "Ifthis is what success is all about, I don't want anypart of it." And Bonnie agreed. So they madetheir way back down the hill of success and wentout into the wilderness and found a group of treeswhich gave them food and shelter. And togetherthey built a cocoon from the branches of the treesand closed it that they might have rest.

And then a very strange thing happened in thatthey went through a metamorphosis and no longereven looked like caterpillars. They admired eachother in the sunlight as their glistening wings dried.And then they soared off into the air in wonder-ment that they were no longer earthbound. Andthey flew off through the wilderness and came tothe city where the hill of success was in the midst.They looked down in the distance and could seethe caterpillars locked in the vicious and competi-tive struggle to become king of the hill. ThenBonnie and Brett gently touched their wings andflew off into the unlimited expanse of God's bluesky.

When we come through the mist of the glassy sea,we are come into a brand new realm and hear thevoices of the seraphims speaking to us and to"come and see" what they would have "come andsee". Whether we know it or not, the seraphimshave been speaking to us all along - we did simplydid not realize that the source was from theseraphims. A seal must be opened in our mind sothat we realize what realm we are in and who isdoing the speaking.

REV 6:1 And I saw when the Lambopened one of the seals, and I heard, as itwere the noise of thunder, one of the fourbeasts saying, Come and see.

The scriptures tell us that one of the "four beasts"is saying "come and see". Perhaps, the word"beasts" is not the most apt translation for our mindto fathom what is being said. What are these fourbeasts?

It is clear from the above verses the first beast is aseraphim with the characteristics of a lion. And itis the lion seraphim that is saying to us in Rev 6:1."Come and see." How often have we read thatverse and not realized that it was the voice of theseraphim? What does this lion like seraphim wantus to "Come and see."?

Does the little story about the two little butterfliesovercoming Babylon's hill of success have anythingto do with what the first seraphim would have us"see"? The applications of this story are not justrelated to business Babylon - it applies to religiousBabylon as well. Think of all the jockeying forpower that takes place among religious leaders.Far from wanting every man "under his own vineand fig tree", many want to hold power and con-trol at all costs over their congregations.

REV 4:6 And before the throne there was asea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midstof the throne, and round about the throne, werefour beasts full of eyes before and behind.7 And the first beast was like a lion, andthe second beast like a calf, and the thirdbeast had a face as a man, and the fourthbeast was like a flying eagle.8 And the four beasts had each of them six wingsabout him; and they were full of eyes within: andthey rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy,holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, andis to come.

ISA 6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I sawalso the Lord sitting upon a throne, high andlifted up, and his train filled the temple.2 Above it stood the seraphims: eachone had six wings; with twain he coveredhis face, and with twain he covered his feet, andwith twain he did fly.3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy,holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earthis full of his glory.

It seems that the creed of Babylon is that in orderto get ahead, you must push someone down in toget their place. Greed and jealousy rule. The mottois "conquer others or be conquered by them." Andwhat would the first seraphim tell us to "come andsee."?

REV 6:1 And I saw whenthe Lamb opened one of theseals, and I heard, as it werethe noise of thunder, one ofthe four beasts saying,Come and see.2 And I saw, and behold awhite horse: and he that saton him had a bow; and acrown was given unto him:and he went forth

conquering, and to conquer.

The above horse is not the white horse ridden byJesus. Instead it is but the first horse of four horsesthat ultimately bring death and its rider is none otherthan the king of Babylon. He taught men how toconquer other men and put them in bondage tothe Babylonian "system".

REV 6:3 And when he had opened thesecond seal, I heard the second beast say,Come and see.4 And there went out another horsethat was red: and power was givento him that sat thereon to take peacefrom the earth, and that theyshould kill one another: andthere was given unto him agreat sword.

Once man was put under man, he no longer sawthe face of God and was no longer in His image.The sword removed the rib chamber and the breachwas caused by the stroke of the sword. The spiritand the word became separated into the right andthe left and they "killed" the mind of one another.

ISA 30:26 Moreover the light of the moon shallbe as the light of the sun, and the light of the sunshall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, inthe day that the LORD bindeth up thebreach of his people, and healeth thestroke of their wound.

REV 6:5 And when he hadopened the third seal, Iheard the third beast say,Come and see. And I be-held, and lo a blackhorse; and he that saton him had a pair ofbalances in his hand.6 And I heard a voice inthe midst of the four beastssay, A measure ofwheat for a penny,and three measuresof barley for a penny;and see thou hurt notthe oil and the wine.

This black horse is the merchandiser who is riddenby the king of Tyre. It is the same spirit that ruledthose who sold doves in the temple. It is that samespirit that sold the olive oil to the five foolish vir-gins. It was here that the very foundations of thecity of our mind was undermined!

EZE 28:5 By thy great wisdom and by thytraffick hast thou increased thy riches,and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon theking of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saiththe Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full ofwisdom, and perfect in beauty.13 Thou hast been in Eden the gardenof God; every precious stone was thycovering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond,the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire,the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the work-manship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was pre-pared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

REV 6:7 And when he had openedthe fourth seal, I heard the voiceof the fourth beast say,Come and see.8 And I looked, and behold a palehorse: and his name that sat onhim was Death, and Hell fol-lowed with him. And power wasgiven unto them over the fourth partof the earth, to kill with sword,and with hunger, and withdeath, and with the beasts of theearth.

The rider of the fourth horse is "that old serpent,called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth thewhole world."

REV 1:16 And he had in his right hand sevenstars: and out of his mouth went a sharptwoedged sword: and his countenancewas as the sun shineth in his strength.18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and,behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen;and have the keys of hell and of death.

REV 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out,that old serpent, called the Devil, andSatan, which deceiveth the wholeworld: he was cast out into the earth, and hisangels were cast out with him.

The fourth seraphim is the eagle and when wepresent our bodies as a living sacrifice and gainexperientially the final victory over death and hell- there is where the eagle will be.

MAT 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out ofthe east, and shineth even unto the west; soshall also the coming of the Son of manbe.28 For wheresoever the carcase is,there will the eagles be gathered to-gether.

We have presented here a thumbnail sketch of theministry of the seraphims. And our purpose ismainly to acquaint the reader with the words ofthe seraphims and their activities. And while wehave given some brief comments concerning whatthey have said in scripture - we leave it to the readerto enrich the seraphim relationship. For at onetime or another, we shall stand on Mount Sion'scrystal sea and sing in the seraphims' presence.

REV 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lambstood on the mount Sion ...3 And they sung as it were a new songbefore the throne, and before the fourbeasts, and the elders: and no man couldlearn that song but the hundred and forty and fourthousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

Previously we had listed tentrees and when we studiedthe king of Tyre (the blackhorse rider), we addedanother tree whichwas the oak tree.Now, we wantto look atanothertree.

ZEC 1:8 I saw by night,and behold a man ridingupon a red horse, and hestood among the myrtletrees that were in the bot-tom; and behind himwere there red horses,speckled, and white.

9 Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And theangel that talked with me said unto me, I will shewthee what these be.10 And the man that stood among the myrtletrees answered and said, These are they whomthe LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through theearth.11 And they answered the angel of the LORD thatstood among the myrtle trees, and said, We havewalked to and fro through the earth, and,behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is atrest.

Just as there is a difference between the white horsethat Jesus rides (Rev 19:11) and the white horseridden (as proposed) by the king of Babylon (Rev6:2), there are differences in the red horses. Thered horse among the myrtle trees described in Zec1:11 patrols the earth and brings peace to the earth.The red horse of Rev 6:3 does exactly the oppo-site, it takes peace from the earth.

REV 6:3 And when he had opened the sec-ond seal, I heard the second beast [seraphimlike a calf] say, Come and see.4 And there went out another horse thatwas red: and power was given to himthat sat thereon to take peace from theearth, and that they should kill one another:and there was given unto him a great sword.

The red horse is found among the myrtle trees andwas seen at night. In other words, it's first appearancewill only be seen by those who can see in the spirit.

We will now begin to pursue the meaning of themyrtle tree experience.

NEH 8:15 And that they should publish andproclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem,saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetcholive branches, and pine branches, andmyrtle branches, and palm branches, andbranches of thick trees, to make booths,as it is written.

ISA 41:19 I will plant in the wilderness thecedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, andthe oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree,and the pine, and the box tree together:

ISA 55:12 For ye shall go out with joy, andbe led forth with peace: the mountains andthe hills shall break forth before you into sing-ing, and all the trees of the field shallclap their hands.13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the firtree, and instead of the brier shall comeup the myrtle tree: and it shall be to theLORD for a name, for an everlasting sign thatshall not be cut off.

We discussed the fir tree as being like rafters ofthe mind, and we are told that the thorn will beremoved and the fir will be in its place. And, inactuality, Jesus suffered the crown of thorns thatwe might have the joy of the fir tree. But whatabout the briar which the myrtle tree replaces?What sort of spirit is the spirit of the brier?

JDG 9:8 The trees went forth on a timeto anoint a king over them; and they saidunto the olive tree, Reign thou over us.9 But the olive tree said unto them,Should I leave my fatness, wherewithby me they honour God and man, andgo to be promoted over the trees?10 And the trees said to the fig tree, Comethou, and reign over us.11 But the fig tree said unto them, Should Iforsake my sweetness, and my goodfruit, and go to be promoted over thetrees?12 Then said the trees unto the vine, Comethou, and reign over us.

JDG 9:13 And the vine said unto them,Should I leave my wine, which cheerethGod and man, and go to be promotedover the trees?14 Then said all the trees unto thebramble, Come thou, and reign overus.

15 And the bramble said unto the trees,If in truth ye anoint me king over you,then come and put your trust in myshadow: and if not, let fire come out of thebramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon.

A LITTLE LAMBCAUGHT IN ABRAMBLE

MIC 7:3 That they may do evil with both handsearnestly, the prince asketh, and thejudge asketh for a reward; and the greatman, he uttereth his mischievous desire: sothey wrap it up.4 The best of them is as a brier: themost upright is sharper than a thorn hedge:the day of thy watchmen and thy visitationcometh; now shall be their perplexity.

The above verses clearly outline the spirit of thebrier which rips and tears our garments and takespeace from the earth. Why would God even per-mit the brier to exist? It appears that the functionof the brier is to make our flesh life very painful,and when the flesh is painful enough, then we arewilling to make the changes which are necessaryto achieve Tabernacles (Succoth) and have the veilremoved from our pineal crystal.

JDG 8:7 And Gideon said ... then I willtear your flesh with the thorns of thewilderness and with briers.16 And he took the elders of the city, andthorns of the wilderness and briers, andwith them he taught the men ofSuccoth.17 And he beat down the tower of Penuel,and slew the men of the city.

Paul went through the same kind of problem - andwhen the thorn in his flesh of pride (even in spiri-tual things such as visions and revelations) becametoo painful, he was ready for the flesh to be re-moved so that the thorn would not have a lodgingplace.

2CO 12:6 For though I would desire toglory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say thetruth: but now I forbear, lest any man shouldthink of me above that which he seeth me tobe, or that he heareth of me.7 And lest I should be exalted abovemeasure through the abundance of therevelations, there was given to me athorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satanto buffet me, lest I should be exaltedabove measure.8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice,that it might depart from me.9 And he said unto me, My grace is suffi-cient for thee: for my strength is madeperfect in weakness. Most gladly thereforewill I rather glory in my infirmities, that thepower of Christ may rest upon me.

The briers and brambles rip and tear the garmentsof our soul and our soul becomes naked. And yet,in the crucifixion experience, Jesus' garments be-came parted that we might be clothed and not befound naked.

REV 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief.Blessed is he that watcheth, andkeepeth his garments, lest he walk na-ked, and they see his shame.MAT 27:28 And they stripped him, andput on him a scarlet robe.JOH 19:23 Then the soldiers, when they hadcrucified Jesus, took his garments, andmade four parts, to every soldier a part;and also his coat: now the coat waswithout seam, woven from the topthroughout.24 They said therefore among themselves,Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose itshall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled,which saith, They parted my raiment amongthem, and for my vesture they did castlots. These things therefore the soldiers did.

And so they cast lots for Jesus' garment. Therewas another lottery in scripture that was a prefig-ure of what happened to Jesus' garments in thePassover month of Nisan.

EST 3:6 And he thought scorn to lay handson Mordecai alone; for they had shewed himthe people of Mordecai: wherefore Hamansought to destroy all the Jews that werethroughout the whole kingdom ofAhasuerus, even the people ofMordecai.7 In the first month, that is, the monthNisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus,they cast Pur, that is, the lot, beforeHaman from day to day, and frommonth to month, to the twelfth month, thatis, the month Adar.

You remember the story of Haman. He began tocast lots in the first month and determined by lotthat the Jews should be killed in the twelfth month- the month Adar. Have you ever had the feelingthat your enemies were casting lots for your verysoul and scheming to find the perfect time to springtheir evil plan? And Haman represents the tenhorned, evil, anti-Christ spirit.

REV 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of thesea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea,having seven heads and ten horns, and uponhis horns ten crowns, and upon his heads thename of blasphemy.EST 9:10 The ten sons of Haman the sonof Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews, slewthey; but on the spoil laid they not their hand.

The above is all very interesting, but what doescasting lots (Purim) have to with the myrtle treeand particularly with the defeat of Haman? Weget a clue from the following excerpt from theEncyclopedia Judaica.The myrtle is an evergreen (Tarq. Sheni, Esth2:7) and the rabbis compared it with the goodqualities of Esther whose Hebrew name wasHadassah ("myrtle"). Its aromatic brancheswere used for preparing the bridegroom'swreath ... They were used in festivities andbetrothal celebrations ..."

Who-ever knows them will not tastedeath. (From the Book of Thomas)

EST 2:7 And he brought up Hadassah[means myrtle], that is, Esther, his uncle'sdaughter: for she had neither father normother, and the maid was fair and beautiful;whom Mordecai, when her father and motherwere dead, took for his own daughter.

HEB 7:1 For this Melchisedec, king of Sa-lem, priest of the most high God ...3 Without father, without mother, with-out descent, having neither beginning of days,nor end of life; but made like unto the Son ofGod; abideth a priest continually.

So Hadassah meansmyrtle, and the myrtle is also an evergreen. We list again the trees thatwe havestudied.

As we begin to pursue the meaning of the hadassah- myrtle tree - Esther experience, we must ask thequestion of what is its purpose? The book of Esthermay be interpreted in different realms, but in thiswriting, we have been primarily concentrating onthe "kingdom within". And within this realm, thebook of Esther can be summarized to a degree bythe following statement.

THE CHANGING OF THEWINE BRINGS ABOUT THECHANGING OF THE MIND.

MAT 26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drinkhenceforth of this fruit of the vine, until thatday when I drink it new with you in myFather's kingdom.LUK 5:38 But new wine must be put intonew bottles; and both are preserved.

EST 1:7 And they gave them drink in vesselsof gold, (the vessels being diverse one fromanother,) and royal wine in abundance, ac-cording to the state of the king.EST 1:10 On the seventh day, when theheart of the king was merry with wine ...11 To bring Vashti the queen before the kingwith the crown royal, to shew the people andthe princes her beauty: for she was fair to lookon.12 But the queen Vashti refused tocome at the king's commandment by hischamberlains: therefore was the king verywroth, and his anger burned in him.

EST 5:6 And the king said unto Esther atthe banquet of wine, What is thy petition?and it shall be granted thee: and what is thyrequest? even to the half of the kingdom itshall be performed.

If we look at the above with natural eyes, we mightsay that Queen Vashti was quite justified in notattending the king's party - particularly since theking and his friends were a little on the merry sidefrom the wine. But, we have said that the wineferments within the wine cask, and whatever winequality is present influences the quality of the pi-neal crystal (or Rochelle salts) formed.

JOH 2:10 And saith unto him, Every man atthe beginning doth set forth good wine; andwhen men have well drunk, then that which isworse: but thou hast kept the good wineuntil now.

The feast took place after one hundred and eigthtydays or six months. The seventh month would bethe month of the feast of Tabernacles. Read thescriptures below and ask yourself if there can beany doubt that King Ashauserus was celebratinghis feast during the autumn period of Tabernacles.

EST 1:4 When he shewed the riches of hisglorious kingdom and the honour of his excel-lent majesty many days, even an hundredand fourscore days.5 And when these days were expired, theking made a feast unto all the people thatwere present in Shushan the palace, both untogreat and small, seven days, in the courtof the garden of the king's palace;

NEH 8:14 And they found written in the lawwhich the LORD had commanded by Moses,that the children of Israel should dwellin booths in the feast of the seventhmonth:15 And that they should publish and proclaimin all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying,Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olivebranches, and pine branches, and myrtlebranches, and palm branches, and branchesof thick trees, to make booths, as it is written.17 And all the congregation of them that werecome again out of the captivity madebooths, and sat under the booths: forsince the days of Jeshua the son of Nun untothat day had not the children of Israel doneso. And there was very great gladness.18 Also day by day, from the first day untothe last day, he read in the book of the law ofGod. And they kept the feast seven days;and on the eighth day was a solemn assem-bly, according unto the manner.

In the realm of the Spirit, we are told that manyare called, but few are chosen. Queen Vashti rep-resents a group (or a mind set) that has gainedgreat spiritual truths and then begins to fossilize.

And while all these wonderful truths (Passover andPentecost) resulted in an invitation to the innercourt of the King's garden to celebrate the feast ofTabernacles, they chose to remain where they wereand refused the invitation to "come higher".

Even Esther had to come face to face with the samechoice - whether to stay where she was or whetherto go into the inner court. Was Esther called tothe kingdom for such a time as this?

EST 4:13 Then Mordecai commanded toanswer Esther, Think not with thyself thatthou shalt escape in the king's house,more than all the Jews.14 For if thou altogether holdest thypeace at this time, then shall there en-largement and deliverance arise to theJews from another place; but thou andthy father's house shall be destroyed: andwho knoweth whether thou art come tothe kingdom for such a time as this?

Queen Vashti dwelled in the house of the king andmany Christians dwell in the house of the King. Butunless we come to the King's garden when called,we very likely will have the clay house perish (givenus by our earthly parents). We will then go the wayof all earth and our "father's house shall be de-stroyed." Queen Vashti does not go beyond the"see through a glass darkly" mind set while QueenEsther represents the "face to face", unveiled mindset. And it was the new wine of the Kingdom thatallowed Esther's mind to see how to set the trap forthe ten horned, Haman anti-Christ spirit.

EST 5:6 And the king said unto Estherat the banquet of wine, What is thy pe-tition? and it shall be granted thee: and whatis thy request? even to the half of the king-dom it shall be performed.7 Then answered Esther, and said, My peti-tion and my request is;8 If I have found favour in the sight of theking, and if it please the king to grant my pe-tition, and to perform my request, let the kingand Haman come to the banquet that Ishall prepare for them, and I will do tomorrow as the king hath said.

EZE 15:2 Son of man, what is the vinetree more than any tree, or than a branchwhich is among the trees of the forest?3 Shall wood be taken thereof to doany work? or will men take a pin of it tohang any vessel thereon?

The vine is the source of the grapes that are pro-cessed and placed into the cask for fermentation.And the Rochelle salts are the sodium - potassiumsalt crystals that are found in the wine cask thatcan rotate light either to the right or the left. Youmight say that these compounds, in effect, cast lotsand determine that a message goes this way or thatway. We have puzzled whether the vine is to becounted as a tree or is like the sides of the ladderand the other trees are rungs in that ladder. Thevine is the trail marked by the blood of Jesus whichleads us back to the Father's throne. It is the riverof the stream of consciousness.

LUK 22:20 Likewise also the cup after sup-per, saying, This cup is the new testa-ment in my blood, which is shed for you.

We will come back to the banquet of wine andEsther's battle with Haman a little later. But, inthe meantime, let us consider the nature of Esther'spreparation to be queen. Did the king just pickher out and she immediately came? Not exactly.

EST 2:12 Now when every maid's turn wascome to go in to king Ahasuerus, after thatshe had been twelvemonths, according tothe manner of thewomen, (for so werethe days of their purifi-cations accomplished,to wit, six monthswith oil of myrrh,and six monthswith sweet odours,and with other thingsfor the purifying of thewomen;)13 Then thus came every maiden unto theking; whatsoever she desired was given herto go with her out of the house of the womenunto the king's house.

SON 4:12 A garden inclosed is my sister, myspouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.13 Thy plants are an orchard of pomegran-ates, with pleasant fruits; camphire, withspikenard,

14 Spikenard and saffron; calamus andcinnamon, with all trees of frankincense;myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices:15 A fountain of gardens, a well of living wa-ters, and streams from Lebanon.16 Awake, O north wind; and come, thousouth; blow upon my garden, that thespices thereof may flow out. Let my belovedcome into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.

The spices prepare us to go into the inner courtand also give us the weapons to deal with theHaman spirit and the enemies that come in fromthe north. If we consider ourselves as being thetemple of God, then our eyes look toward the east.The left brain oriented thinking is then ournorth side and the right brain oriented think-ing is our south side. The spices are the ambas-sadors of preparation for bringing about thatperfect balance between the north wind (leftbrain) and the south wind (right brain). And yes,the battle of Armageddon will first be foughtwithin the mind. And the most vicious attack willcome from the area of the letter of the law andintellectualism - the Gog and Magog of our mind.

EZE 39:1 Therefore, thou son of man, proph-esy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the LordGOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, thechief prince of Meshech and Tubal:2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but thesixth part of thee, and will cause thee tocome up from the north parts, and willbring thee upon the mountains of Israel:

We have seen that Esther went through this pro-cess of preparation and, as we will shortly see, evenJesus was prepared by this procedure. For it wasin Bethany (house of dates - fruit of the date palm)that this anointing took place.

MAR 14:3 And being in Bethany in the houseof Simon the leper, as he sat at meat [ thetable], there came a woman having an ala-baster box of ointment of spikenard veryprecious; and she brake the box, and pouredit on his head.

SON 1:12 While the king sitteth at his table,my spikenard sendeth forth the smellthereof.

Alabasters - So named from the town ofAlabastron, in Middle Egypt, where there arequarries of this fine-grained, pink-colored gyp-sum. It is not clear but is colored in stripes,much varied in width and tint, very near thetint of their fingernails, including the crescentlight place at the upper end of the nails. It wasmade into cups, boxes, etc. for holding per-fumes, ointments and other precious articles.Boxes for the same uses of any substance(wood, glass, stone, metal) were also calledalabasters. (BRS Dictionary).

One might question why we have switched fromstudying trees to looking at the spices. Where dothe spices fit in among the trees? And most likelythe answer is that they don't - at least directly. Butthey are contained within a tree that is associatedwith other trees in the area of the pineal gland.And we introduced the alabaster box so we couldintroduce this tree and its relationship to spices.

ISA 60:13 The glory of Lebanon shall comeunto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, andthe box together, to beautify the placeof my sanctuary; and I will make the place ofmy feet glorious.14 The sons also of them that afflicted theeshall come bending unto thee; and all theythat despised thee shall bow themselves downat the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee;The city of the LORD, The Zion of theHoly One of Israel.15 Whereas thou hast been forsaken andhated, so that no man went through thee,I will make thee an eternal excellency, ajoy of many generations.ISA 41:19 I will plant in the wilderness thecedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, andthe oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree,and the pine, and the box tree to-gether:20 That they may see, and know, and con-sider, and understand together, that the handof the LORD hath done this, and the Holy Oneof Israel hath created it.

The word "box" is translated from the Hebrew 'teh-ash-shoor' Strong's 8391 with the meaning: from883 - a species of cedar (from its erectness):--box(tree). So we have found another evergreen, oneof a group of trees that are unmoved in summer orin winter and their leaves do not fall.

BOX, a shrub or tree (Buxuw sempervurebs)that grows wild in Asia Minor. At present it iscultivated in Israel as an ornamental tree. Inthe Mishnah it is called eshkero'a, its excel-lent wood being used for delicate articles andapparatus, such as the urn which was used inthe Temple for the casting of lots to decidethe duties of the priests (Yoma 3:9).

The above description about the box is from theEncyclopedia Judaica. And again, we see that weare looking at properties which decide direction.For the box wood was used to contain the lotsused to make decisions within the temple. Andwe might consider the box tree to be the containerof the spices. The spices are the ambassadorial,communications system which process messagesand bring about the perfect Word - Spirit balancewhich is the Lord's delight - the anointing!

And for what task was Esther prepared for andcalled to the kingdom for such a time as this?

EST 3:11 And the king said unto Haman,The silver is given to thee, the peoplealso, to do with them as it seemethgood to thee.12 Then were the king's scribes calledon the thirteenth day of the first month,and there was written according to all thatHaman had commanded unto the king's lieu-tenants, and to the governors that were overevery province, and to the rulers of everypeople of every province according to the writ-ing thereof, and to every people after theirlanguage; in the name of king Ahasuerus wasit written, and sealed with the king's ring.13 And the letters were sent by posts into allthe king's provinces, to destroy, to kill, andto cause to perish, all Jews, both youngand old, little children and women, inone day, even upon the thirteenth dayof the twelfth month, which is the monthAdar, and to take the spoil of them fora prey.

And you know how the story unfolded. Esthersummoned up her courage and went into the innercourt - with the threat of loss of life - to petitionthe king on behalf of her people. But, she did notimmediately ask for Haman to be punished - in-stead - she asked that she might invite the kingand Haman to - all of things - a banquet of wine.

EST 5:3 Then said the king unto her, Whatwilt thou, queen Esther? and what is thy re-quest? it shall be even given thee tothe half of the kingdom.4 And Esther answered, If it seem good untothe king, let the king and Haman comethis day unto the banquet that I haveprepared for him.5 Then the king said, Cause Haman to makehaste, that he may do as Esther hath said. Sothe king and Haman came to the banquet thatEsther had prepared.6 And the king said unto Esther at thebanquet of wine, What is thy peti-tion? and it shall be granted thee: and whatis thy request? even to the half of the king-dom it shall be performed.

In the meantime, Haman was busy building hisgallows for Mordecai and salivating over his sup-posed rise to power. He had attended a banquetwith the king and queen and was invited back for asecond time. Now, let us look at Haman in termsof the new testament scripture about how and whenthe coming of Christ shall take place.

2TH 2:3 Let no man deceive you by anymeans: for that day shall not come, exceptthere come a falling away first, and that manof sin be revealed, the son of perdition;4 Who opposeth and exalteth himselfabove all that is called God, or that isworshipped; so that he as God sittethin the temple of God, shewing himselfthat he is God.8 And then shall that Wicked be re-vealed, whom the Lord shall consumewith the spirit of his mouth, and shalldestroy with the brightness of his com-ing:

The scriptures speak of our enemy as being theflesh. However, in modern language terms, this isnot so much the physical flesh that we can pinch.It is the human ego that sits in the temple - in thevery bed chamber of our cranium - that proclaimshimself in control and as god of the temple. It isonly when we are freed from the Babylonian wineof confusion and can see things clearly that thismonstrosity, this Haman of the human ego is re-vealed and then can be destroyed. So, with this inmind, we go back to the story of Haman's demise.And it was Haman's own presumption that resultedin Mordecai being honored by riding on the king'shorse (probably a white one) rather than Haman.

EST 6:6 So Haman came in. And the kingsaid unto him, What shall be done unto theman whom the king delighteth to honour?Now Haman thought in his heart, Towhom would the king delight to dohonour more than to myself?7 And Haman answered the king, For the manwhom the king delighteth to honour,8 Let the royal apparel be brought which theking useth to wear, and the horse that the kingrideth upon, and the crown royal which is setupon his head:

After Haman was humiliated, he was invited backto the palace for a second day of the banquet ofwine.

EST 7:1 So the king and Haman came tobanquet with Esther the queen.2 And the king said again unto Esther onthe second day at the banquet of wine,What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shallbe granted thee: and what is thy request? andit shall be performed, even to the half of thekingdom.3 Then Esther the queen answered and said,If I have found favour in thy sight, O king,and if it please the king, let my life begiven me at my petition, and my peopleat my request:4 For we are sold, I and my people, tobe destroyed, to be slain, and to per-ish. But if we had been sold for bondmen andbondwomen, I had held my tongue, althoughthe enemy could not countervail the king'sdamage.5 Then the king Ahasuerus answered and saidunto Esther the queen,

Who is he, and where is he, thatdurst presume in his heart to do so?

EST 7:6 And Esther said, The adversaryand enemy is this wicked Haman. ThenHaman was afraid before the king and thequeen.7 And the king arising from the banquet ofwine in his wrath went into the palace gar-den: and Haman stood up to make requestfor his life to Esther the queen; for he sawthat there was evil determined against himby the king.

EST 7:8 Then the king returned out of thepalace garden into the place of the ban-quet of wine; and Haman was fallenupon the bed whereon Esther was.

Then said the king, Will he force thequeen also before me in the house? Asthe word went out of the king's mouth, theycovered Haman's face.

9 And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains,said before the king, Behold also, the gal-lows fifty cubits high, which Haman hadmade for Mordecai, who had spoken goodfor the king, standeth in the house of Haman.Then the king said, Hang him thereon.10 So they hanged Haman on the gal-lows that he had prepared for Mordecai.Then was the king's wrath pacified.

EST 9:24 Because Haman the son ofHammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of allthe Jews, had devised against the Jews todestroy them, and had cast Pur, that is,the lot, to consume them, and to destroythem;26 Wherefore they called these days Purimafter the name of Pur. Therefore for allthe words of this letter, and of that which theyhad seen concerning this matter, and whichhad come unto them,

Thus, the drama was played out and Haman learnedthe reverse application of the golden rule. Andthen it was time for a tremendous celebration -Haman and his wicked allies were defeated!

It seems like each feast has its own characteris-tics. Passover is an awesome time. Pentecost is atime of wonder and a time of praise. Tabernaclesis a time of solitude and yet it has its joyous cel-ebration. The feast of dedication (Hanukkah) is atime of restoration and gratitude. And then, wehave the feast of Purim.

Imagine that you had just won a victory over allyour enemies. Death, disease, economic struggles,unresolved conflicts, painful memories, all of yourworries - everything was completely defeated,healed, or resolved! Your future life in the King'spalace was an assured life of blessings with provi-sion made for every need. It would be time to cel-ebrate and probably the feast of Esther is the clos-est to our modern day definition of a joyous party.

EST 9:17 On the thirteenth day of themonth Adar; and on the fourteenth dayof the same rested they, and made it aday of feasting and gladness.18 But the Jews that were at Shushan as-sembled together on the thirteenth day thereof,and on the fourteenth thereof; and on thefifteenth day of the same they rested,and made it a day of feasting and glad-ness.19 Therefore the Jews of the villages, thatdwelt in the unwalled towns, made the four-teenth day of the month Adar a day ofgladness and feasting, and a good day,and of sending portions one to another.

The Megillah

Each generation has war with the Amalek spirit torecover its birthright. For the most part - all havefailed. But when a generation truly succeeds, Christwill have come a second time (Heb 9:28).

And what is a Megillah? The following excerptsfrom the Encyclopedia Judaica give additional in-sight into feast of Purim."In any event the festival had long been es-tablished by the second century C. E. when awhole tractrate of Mishnah (*Megillah) wasdevoted to the details of its observance, es-pecially to the rules governing the reading ofthe Scroll of Esther, called in the rabinic lit-erature the megillah ("scroll")... The main feature of Purim is the reading ofthe Book of Esther, the megillah, with a spe-cial cantillation. ... It is customary to fold themegillah over and spread it out before thereading since it is a called a "letter" (Esth. 9:26,29). The four verses of "redemption" (2:5; 8:15-16; and 10:3) are read in louder voice than theother verses. The custom of children is tomake a loud noise with rattles and the likewhenever the name of Haman is read, in or-der to blot out "the memory of Amalek" (seeDeut. 25:19: and Esth. 3:1 and I Sam. 15:8-9for Haman is a descendent of Amalek) is an-cient and still persists, though frowned uponas undecorous by some authorities. It is thepractice for the reader to recite the names ofthe ten sons of Haman (Esth. 9:7-9) in onebreath (Meg. 16b) to show that they were ex-ecuted simultaneously. The custom has alsobeen seen, however, as a refusal by Jews togloat over the downfall of their enemies ... TheTorah reading for Purim morning is Exodus17:8-16. EST 4:13 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not withthyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews.14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall thereenlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; butthou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whetherthou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

When Mordecai brought the news to Esther aboutHaman's decree - it was like an earthquake! Sheknew that she needed to go into the inner court tointercede with the king. And yet, she knew that togo into the inner court without being called was torisk death. The winds of decision swirled aroundher as she walked and she thought - and she walkedand she thought. What should she do?

And we all face a similar decision. While we mayhave difficulty putting a face on Haman and how hesucceeded in having his decree of death enforced -do we not also face a decree of death? Perhaps it iscouched in more mundane terms - such as a lifeexpectancy of 73 years. But, it is the same. Either,we will be that generation that overcomes death orthe task will be passed on to a future generation.

REV 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he thatis holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no manshutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hourof temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon theearth.11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shallgo no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of thecity of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from myGod: and I will write upon him my new name.

If we are to be kept from the hour of temptationwhich shall come upon the whole world, it is vitalthat we make the changes necessary so that ourmind can be renewed and our body transformed.In order to have the new name written upon us,we must overcome and "go more out". What doesit mean to go in and out?

The teenager is a perfect example of going "in andout". Sometimes they are very serious and matureabout matters and other times, they are incrediblychildish. As parents, we recognize this and permitthem the freedom of the "growing up" process.And Christians often do the same thing - sometimes they are in the spirit and sometimes they arein the flesh. They come and go. And the Lordallows us the freedom to choose.

But, if we are to come to the marriage supper ofthe Lamb, it does require a commitment - not be-cause we are forced to do it - but because we wantto make the commitment.

We can use the key of David to lock the doors ofthe flesh - and no man will be able to open them.We can use the key of David to open the doors ofthe spirit and no man will be able to shut them.We can come into the realm of true friendship withGod.

JOH 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants;for the servant knoweth not what his lorddoeth: but I have called you friends; for allthings that I have heard of my Father I havemade known unto you.JAM 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled whichsaith, Abraham believed God, and it wasimputed unto him for righteousness:and he was called the Friend of God.

Consider the choice given to the Hebrew servant.

EXO 21:2 If thou buy an Hebrew servant,six years he shall serve: and in the sev-enth he shall go out free for nothing.5 And if the servant shall plainly say, Ilove my master, my wife, and my chil-dren; I will not go out free:

Did the Hebrew servant have the right to go inand out? Yes, he did. Did the master give himpermission to go out? Yes, he did. And, as ser-vants of the Lord, we are permitted to "go in andout". Yes. But, if we have reached the point inour growth and commitment that we want to stayin the Master's house forever, and "go no moreout", then it is time to "plainly say" our intentions.

EXO 21:5 And if the servant shall plainlysay, I love my master, my wife, and mychildren; I will not go out free:6 Then his master shall bring him unto thejudges; he shall also bring him to thedoor, or unto the door post; and hismaster shall bore his ear through withan aul; and he shall serve him for ever.

REV 3:13 He that hath an ear, lethim hear what the Spirit saithunto the churches.12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar inthe temple of my God, and he shall gono more out: and I will write upon himthe name of my God, and the name of thecity of my God, which is new Jerusalem, whichcometh down out of heaven from my God:and I will write upon him my new name.

Therefore, if we are ready to plainly tell our Mas-ter that we love Him and do not want to go outany more, then we are taken to the doorpost andthe ceremony is sealed by boring through the earwith an aul and we serve our Master forever.

When we speak of opening and closing doors, wemust realize that some of these doors are ancientdoors that lead to ancient chambers in our sub-conscious mind. We are probably not aware thatsome of these dimensions actually exist. Jesus isthe one who has the keys of David and it is for oursafety that He controls the timing of the renewingof our mind - rebuilding the old waste places andraising up the old foundations. When we make acommitment to Him, He makes a commitment tous to restore the paths to dwell in so that we maywalk in those paths forever.

GOLDEN ALTAR

The above shows how the outer gates lead to theinner doors of the throne room. We found that thekeys of David are used to bring the Josephs out ofthe prison gate. And we have learned about lead-ing captivity captive. Instead of being conformedto this world's prison mold, we are transformed bythe renewing of the mind. We have learned aboutthe metamorphosis of the butterflies through thebeautiful gate - the east gate. And we have pointedto the Miphkad gate, which is the mustering pointfor the white horse army of Revelation 19:11-14 -but the time seems to be not yet. We have touchedon the spices in the box tree - the ingredients whichare burned upon the golden altar which is situatedbefore the throne. But it seems that the timing forthe spices and the golden altar is not for this writ-ing.

ISA 33:20 Look upon Zion, the city of oursolemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalema quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shallnot be taken down; not one of the stakesthereof shall ever be removed, neither shallany of the cords thereof be broken.21 But there the glorious LORD will be untous a place of broad rivers and streams;wherein shall go no galley with oars, nei-ther shall gallant ship pass thereby.

And we realize that many things need to be sum-marized and sorted out. But, we must wait uponthe timing of the Lord. If we row with the oars,we do so by the sweat of our brow. We pray thateach of us will come into Zion and Jerusalem inthe perfect timing of the galley driven by the windof the Spirit in her sails. Amen.
