    How It Works

    Pyrolysis, gasification and high

    temperature oxidation are used to

    convert a wide range of wastes to

    fuel gas and other valuable products.

    Facilities are designed to process

    multiple waste streams, meeting the

    highest environmental standards and

    optimising energy recovery.

    Standard units of plants are de-signed to process waste streams in the range 8,000 to 32,000 tones per annum, generating heat

    and electricity.

    Units are compact, easily transportable and can be assembled in a modular manner to

    provide systems that handle larger waste streams and generate greater power.

    Step 1 - Pyrolysis

    Materials are heated in the absence of oxygen up to 800C. Hydrocarbons are converted to simplegases leaving a residue of carbon char, inert materials and heavy metals (non-leachable ash).

    Step 2 - Gasification

    Carbon residues (from pyrolysis) are reacted out with steam in the classic "water gas" reaction to

    produce hydrogen and carbon monoxide.

    Step 3 - High temperature oxidation

    Gases are reacted at high temperature (1,250C. for

    more than 2 seconds) to ensure the destruction of any

    organic pollutants and particles.

    Step 4 - Energy recovery

    Exhaust gasses pass through a steam boiler which

    captures up to 80% of available energy. Steam is used

    for power generation and/or combined heat and

    power (CHP) applications.

    Financial Benefits

    Regulations require the clean up of air-borne emis-

    sions produced by traditional incineration plants. The

    cost of clean up can be as much as 50% of the capital

    cost of the incineration plant.

    As a direct result of such high capital costs, the eco-

    nomics of traditional incineration are technically better

    at a larger scale, making it common to plan for plants

    with throughput capacity of 200,000 to over 500,000

    tones per annum

    By contrast, our proposed Waste Management Solution provides a flexible approach to

    different waste streams and is designed to facilitate local integrated waste solutions in partnership

    with other relevant technologies.

    Our process is inherently cleaner than traditional incineration and minimal gas clean-up is re-

    quired. Capital cost is therefore lower and the plants are economic at smaller scale.

    This enables a distributed approach to waste management. Typically mixed waste and municipal

    waste projects would be configured for waste streams of 32,000 to 64,000 tones per annum.

    Such plants can be located on smaller sites and in locations regarded as traditionally unsuitable

    for mass burn centralised EfW facilities. The size and character of our plants make them suitable

    for light industrial and commercial locations.

    The combined effect of pyrolysis, gasification, high tempera-

    ture oxidation, advanced NOx and acid gas abatement mini-

    mises pollution to extremely low levels that are well within all

    integrated pollution control standards

    How It Works

    The proposed software offers a

    persistent and transparent means of

    ensuring PCs are in the appropriate

    conservation power states at all times

    across an entire organisation

    IT Managers are given complete

    control of the entire network. This

    remote access enables unparalleled

    conservation and increased produc-

    tivity via remote access and sched-uled events.

    The software provides visual reports on energy savings, cost savings and C02 emissions. Visual

    reports can be produced for both internal and external review on monitors, the Internet, etc...

    As an example, the software could be configured to automatically switch on PCs in the morning,

    switch into standby mode after 60 minutes of being idle during peak hours and switch off auto-

    matically at the end of the day. The software can be defined to automatically skip PCs with open

    applications containing unsaved data or connected to a database session. Relying on users orother staff to enforce this type of conservation would be impossible and cost prohibitive.

    Components of the Deployment

    Software can be deployed in a matter of hours in a

    2 part process:

    1. The Software Server provides remote, network-level control over PC and monitor power settings as

    well as manages communications with the software

    clients, collects and stores energy consumption

    data.

    2. The software Client resides in the network's cli-

    ent PCs and initiates all communication activity, such as check-ins with the software server for

    updates to power setting profiles or to upload power-state en energy consumption data back to

    the server.

    We offer a comprehensive range of compact fluores-

    cent lamps including the Dual compact fluorescent

    lamp. The dual type consists of a compact fluores-cent lamp with separate ballast which can be fitted

    directly on mains voltage with an adapter (available in

    screw of bayonet base fittings). The electronic adapter

    lasts 4 to 5 times longer than the lamp. This saves

    money and reduces small chemical waste.

    Consumes 80% less energy than an equivalent GLS

    If you wish to replace a GLS lamp with an energy-saving lamp, you should divide the power

    (Watt) with 4 (four). A GLS lamp with 60Watt, gives you the same light as an energy saving

    with 15Watt.

    When buying new lighting fixtures, ensure that they are compatible with energy saving
