V. STRATEGIC PLAN GOALS

Goal#1:LegislativeandRegulatoryBarriers– ReducelegislativeandregulatorybarrierstocreateacomprehensivesurveillanceandresponseinfrastructurethatsupportssustainablesolutionstoemergingtrendsinSUD,opioid-relatedoverdoses,andopioid-relatedfatalities.

Goal#2:StakeholderEducation- EducateDCresidentsandkeystakeholdersontherisksofopioidusedisordersandeffectivepreventionandtreatmentoptions.

Goal#5:SUDTreatmentandRecoveryServices - Ensureequitableandtimelyaccesstohigh-qualitysubstanceusedisordertreatmentandrecoverysupportservicesandanetworkoftreatmentservicesthatisadequatetomeetdemandconsistentwiththecriteriaoftheAmericanSocietyofAddictionMedicine(ASAM).
