Dufferin Child and Family Services is a multi-service agency providing Children’s Mental Health, Child Protection and Developmental Support. The agency currently requires a: CPIN Project Assistant (12 month contract role) This contract position is in the bargaining unit, reporting to the CPIN Lead. The project assistant will support the Child Protection Information Network (CPIN) Sustainment and Integration team with all administrative tasks, the communication plan and ensure the successful transition to the CPIN platform. Knowledge & Skills Required: Manage the production and maintenance of CPIN-related materials such as desk- guides; Create and manage CPIN communications calendar; Manage filing, data entry, and document preparation as requested; Provide high quality, professional service, either in person or on the telephone, to all employees, CPIN ministry staff; Provide assistance to the CPIN Leads as required; Reception coverage as required; Participate in agency staff meetings, team meetings, regular supervision, and agency and professional training; and Knowledge of DCAFS policies and procedures related to service delivery in all departments; Patience, flexibility and professionalism, and the ability to work both independently and in a team context; Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to establish supportive relationships with staff and act as an effective first point of contact for staff; Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills providing articulate, constructive, meaningful and timely interaction at all levels; Technical expertise with the software that will be used to support learning (Solid ability to use MS Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) ; Excellent planning, time-management, multi-tasking and organizational skills; Understanding and commitment to quality service and best practice; Acts with integrity, trustworthiness, humility, transparency and compassion; Demonstrated critical thinker and detail oriented; Excellent ability to work with and meet tight timelines;

Qualifications:

Previous experience in an office environment; Demonstrated ability to be highly organized and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to effectively manage stress and balance competing demands, while maintaining a professional demeanor; A valid G driver’s licence and use of a personal vehicle.
