Dear eDCSD Families,

Please read below for announcements for this coming week, February 15-19.

Support Opportunities Next Week

On Monday February 15th, there will be no blended learning due to the President’s Day.

What is coming up at Blended?

On Monday, February 22nd, please bring clean recyclable objects to blended. These are items that you

would have normally thrown away such as old t-shirts, clean bottles, plastics, etc.

What happened last week at Blended?

Last week at blended, students were interviewed about their Energy Saving Action Plan. They used a new

digital tool called Seesaw to capture thinking about energy and we all enjoyed our Valentine’s Day Party!

Please save dates April 11th and 12th for testing. We will meet at the West Support Center: 701 PrairieHawk Dr, Castle Rock, CO 80109, United States in Castle Rock both days.

Tentative Schedule

Monday:

3rd Grade: 7:30 am - 1:00 pm

4th Grade: 7:30 am - 1:00 pm

5th Grade: 7:30 am - 3:45 pm

6th Grade: 7:30 am - 1:00 pm

Tuesday:

3rd Grade: 7:30 am - 1:00 pm

4th Grade: 7:30 am - 1:15 pm

5th Grade: 7:30 am - 2:45 pm

6th Grade: 7:30 am - 2:00 pm

Please plan on bringing water, snacks, and a sack lunch both days. If you have a conflict with thesedates, please contact Janda Bliek ASAP: [email protected]

Start to look for WebMail messages any time one of the teachers provides comments to an assessmentthat your student submitted. The WebMail message will have a link to the assessment so you can quicklyopen and review the feedback from your teacher. Look for these messages and contact the teacher if youhave any questions about their feedback.

Safe 2 Tell

Safety is our priority at eDCSD. Safe2Tell Colorado provides students and adults, in Colorado schoolsand communities, an increased ability to both prevent and report violence by making ANONYMOUSreports. The 24‐hour anonymous bystander tip line, staffed by professionals from the Colorado StatePatrol, is available to students, parents, and communities to report any concerns regarding their safety orthe safety of others. Since 2004, Safe2Tell Colorado has received thousands of reports on issues relatingto bullying, suicides, substance abuse, child abuse, planned school attacks, weapons, fights, mentalhealth issues, and other concerning behaviors.

How to Make a Report:

MOBILE APP: Students, parents and community members may download the mobile app from the AppleApp Store (ios) or Google Play (android) and may make a report from their smartphone.

WEB: Reports may be submitted online by completing a secure, anonymous web report atsafe2tellco.orgby clicking "Submit a Tip."

CALL 1‐877‐542‐7233: Concerns can by given to trained Colorado State Patrol dispatchers by calling thetoll‐free hotline.
