Draenei

Once called the eredar, a group of eredar escaped from the Astral Sea during a war against the armies of eredar offered untold power. This army was called The Burning Legion. Still trying to adjust to the natural world, those who left, now called the draenei, try to carve out an existence, despite the evil that still bares down their necks.

to come from a far-off world.✦ to have received the blessing of the spirits of ✦nature.

to be a member of a race that favors the ✦artificer, druid, fighter, or warden classes.

Humanoids with ox-like legs, whispered to originate from a divine world.

Heroic Prescence: All allies within 10 squares of you gain a +1 racial bonus to Intimidate checks. Immortal Origin: You are native to the Astral Sea, so you are treated as an immortal creature for the purpose of effects that relate to creature origin. Radiant Resistance: You gain radiant resistance equal to 5 + one-half your level. Gift of the Naaru: You may use gift of the naaru as an encounter power.

Gift of the Naaru Draenei Racial Power The spirits of nature reveal themselves, smiling upon you and granting you healing in a time of need. Encounter ✦ Healing Minor Action Close burst 2 Target: You and each ally in burst who is bloodied Prerequisite: You must be bloodied to use this power. Effect: The target regains hit points equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier. Increase to 6 + your Wisdom modifier at 11th level, and 9 + your Wisdom modifier at 21st level.

Dwarf

Hailing from the Ironforge Mountains, the dwarves were invaluable to the Alliance during the last war. Their expertise with technology and siege weapons gave the Alliance a beneficial edge, one which the Alliance would not give up. Now returned to the mountains, the dwarves continue to work their machines.

Play a dwarf if you want…

to be an expert with technology.✦ to dwell in the mountains.✦ to be a member of a race that favors the ✦artificer, fighter, or paladin classes.

Dwellers within the mountains, the dwarves are expert technicians and hardy warriors.

RACIAL TRAITS Average Height: 4’3-4’9” Average Weight: 165-220 lbs.

Ability Scores: +2 Strength, +2 Constitution Size: Medium Speed: 5 squares Vision: Low-Light

Languages: Common, Dwarven Skill Bonuses: +2 Dungeoneering, +2 Perception

Cold Resistance: You gain cold resistance equal to 5 + one- half your level. Dwarven Weapon Proficiency: You gain proficiency with the warhammer and the battleaxe. Unencumbered Speed: You take no penalty to speed for wearing heavy armor or carrying a heavy load. Will of the Mountain: You gain a +1 racial bonus to your Will defense. Stoneform: You may use stoneform as an encounter power.

Stoneform Dwarf Racial Power Your hardy resolve lends itself to you, giving you incredible strength and health. Encounter Immediate Reaction Personal Trigger: You take ongoing damage or become poisoned. Effect: You gain a +5 bonus to saving throws against poison and ongoing damage until the end of your next turn. You may also make a saving throw against poison or ongoing damage.

Forsaken

Converted to a state of undeath by the evil Lich King, the forsaken are a group of undead who rebelled against their creator. Though they are now affiliated with multiple races, the forsaken only do so out of convenience and could betray the agreement at any time.

Play a forsaken if you want…

to be on the fringes of society.✦ to be an undead being.✦

to be a member of a race that favors the ✦avenger, rogue, warlock, or warlord classes.

Former servants of the Lich King, the forsaken are undead humanoids who seek to eliminate

all those who would stand in their way.

RACIAL TRAITS Average Height: 5’3-6’ Average Weight: 115-170 lbs.

Ability Scores: +2 Dexterity or Intelligence, +2 Charisma Size: Medium Speed: 6 squares Vision: Normal

Languages: Common, choice of one other Skill Bonuses: +2 Bluff, +2 Stealth

Necrotic Resistance: You gain necrotic resistance equal to 5 + one-half your level. Will of the Forsaken: Because of innate strength of will, you gain a +1 racial bonus to your Will defense. In addition, you gain a +2 racial bonus to saving throws against fear and charm effects. Cannibalize: You may use cannibalize as an encounter power.

Cannibalize Forsaken Racial Power You drain the remaining life from the dead. Encounter ✦ Healing Free Action Personal Trigger: You drop an enemy to 0 hit points or less. Effect: You regain hit points equal to one-half your healing surge value.

Gnome

Technical experts on par with the dwarves, the gnomes are an eccentric people obsessed with creating new pieces of equipment. Formerly residents of the city of Gnomeregen, the gnomes were slaughtered. A brave defense did not allow the gnomes to return home, so today, they look to create new technologies and take back their homeland

to be an expert tinkerer and machinist.✦ to be a brilliant, albeit erratic, individual.✦ to be a member of a race that favors the ✦artificer, avenger, or wizard classes.

Eccentric and twitchy, the gnomes are tinkerers, obsessed with making further

advances in technology.

RACIAL TRAITS Average Height: 4’-4’5” Average Weight: 65-80 lbs.

Ability Scores: +2 Intelligence, +2 Wisdom Size: Small Speed: 5 squares Vision: Darkvision

Languages: Common, choice of one other Skill Bonuses: +2 Acrobatics, +2 Arcana

Arcane Specialty: Choose an energy type. You gain a +1 racial bonus to attack rolls when using powers that have the chosen energy type as a keyword. Expansive Mind: You a +2 racial bonus to saving throws against illusion and the unconscious condition. Expert Escape: You may use expert escape as an encounter power.

Expert Escape Gnome Racial Power You slink out of an enemy restraint, just as soon as the enemy tries grabbing you. Encounter Immediate Interrupt Personal Trigger: You become immobilized, restrained, or slowed. Effect: End one of the above conditions. You may shift 1 square.

Night Elf

For millennia, the night elves lived in the Ashenvale Forest, cut off from the rest of the world. The onset of war destroyed the night elves’ great tree, negating their immortality and forcing them to

mingle with the other races of the world. Though they still interact with the other races, many night elves seek to regain the immortality they lost.

Play a night elf if you want…

to be mysterious, world-weary, and shadowy.✦ to slip into the darkness at a moment’s notice.✦ to be a member of a race that favors the ✦avenger, ranger, or rogue classes.

Forest-dwelling folk, believed to possess shadowy, nocturnal powers, the night elves

were once immortals, but have since lost that power.

RACIAL TRAITS Average Height: 6’-6’9” Average Weight: 125-180 lbs.

Ability Scores: +2 Dexterity, +2 Wisdom Size: Medium Speed: 7 squares Vision: Low-Light

Elusive Wisp: You gain a +2 racial bonus to AC against area and ranged attacks. Fey Origin: Your ancestors are native to the Feywild, so you are treated as a fey creature for the purpose of effects that relate to creature origin. Wild Step: You may ignore difficult terrain when you shift. Shadowmeld: You may use shadowmeld as an encounter power.

Shadowmeld Night Elf Racial Power You slip into the shadows, hidden from all those who would seek to kill you. Encounter ✦ Illusion Move Action Personal Effect: You become invisible until the end of your next turn or until you move.

Orc

Once a race of noble warriors, centuries of conflict and corruption rendered the orcs into merciless, savage brutes. Though forever tainted by their corruption, some orcs try to make amends for their old ways, but the orcs are still weary to trust others, realizing the consequences of their previous allegiance only when it was too late.

to be savage, merciless, and cynical.✦ to possess a boundless hardiness.✦ to be a member of a race that favors the ✦cleric, paladin, or warlord classes.

A race of powerful warriors, orcs are frightening to behold and devastating in

combat.

Languages: Common, Giant Skill Bonuses: +2 Athletics, +2 Intimidate

Orc Rage: When you are bloodied, you gain a +1 racial bonus to attack rolls. Orc Weapon Proficiency: You have proficiency with the battleaxe and throwing axe. Hardiness: You gain a +5 racial bonus to saving throws against the helpless, stunned, and unconscious conditions. Blood Fury: You may use blood fury as an encounter power.

Blood Fury Orc Racial Power A moment of rage, a torrent of blood. Encounter ✦ Weapon Minor Action Personal Prerequisite: You must be bloodied to use this power. Effect: Until the end of your next turn, your weapon attacks deal an extra 1d8 points of damage.

Tauren

Powerful and proud, the tauren are believed to be descended from minotaurs. Though similar, the tauren are far less warlike and feel a stronger connection to nature. Devoted to the earth, the tauren believe in the first hunt, a rite that must be

taken when a tauren matures. These days, the first hunt is used as a rite of passage.

Play a tauren if you want…

to have a connection to the forces of nature.✦ to be strong and hardy, both of body and ✦spirit. to be a member of a race that favors the ✦cleric, fighter, or paladin classes.

Among one of the strongest races, the tauren are much like the minotaurs, but more peaceful

and druidic in nature.

RACIAL TRAITS Average Height: 6’3”-7’ Average Weight: 250-320 lbs.

Ability Scores: +2 Strength or Constitution, +2 Wisdom Size: Medium Speed: 6 squares Vision: Normal

Languages: Common, Giant Skill Bonuses: +2 Endurance, +2 Nature

Great Resilience: You gain an extra healing surge. Might of the Natural World: You gain a +1 bonus to your defenses against attacks from enemies of the natural origin. Tauren Hardiness: Your healing surge value is equal to one-quarter your hit points + your Constitution modifier. War Stomp: You may use war stomp as an encounter power.

War Stomp Tauren Racial Power A fierce stomp on the ground sends shockwaves, leaving the enemy off-guard. Encounter ✦ Thunder Minor Action Close burst 1 Target: Each creature in burst Attack: Strength +2 vs. Reflex or Constitution +2 vs. Reflex

Increase to +4 bonus at 11th level, and +6 bonus at 21st level. Hit: 1d6 + Strength modifier thunder damage, and the target is knocked prone. Increase damage to 2d6 + Strength modifier at 11th level, and 3d6 + Strength modifier at 21st level.

Troll

Originally made up of warring tribes, the trolls were prone to infighting and constant battle, but that would change when the orcs would seek shelter in the trolls’ home region. In time, this region would be lost, and the years of moving would enrage the trolls to the point where matters would be taken into their own hands. Enraged, the trolls are tired of being pushed around.

Play a troll if you want…

to be straight trippin’.✦ to be fast, powerful, and tough.✦ to be a member of a race that favors the ✦fighter, ranger, or rogue classes.

Tribal warriors and prone to anger, the trolls are dangerous and difficult to understand.

RACIAL TRAITS Average Height: 6’2”-6’10 Average Weight: 180-260 lbs.

Ability Scores: +2 Strength, +2 Dexterity Size: Medium Speed: 6 squares Vision: Low-Light

Languages: Common, choice of one other Skill Bonuses: +2 Acrobatics, +2 Athletics

Da Voodoo Shuffle: If you are immobilized or slowed, you may make a saving throw to end the effect as an immediate reaction. Quick Healing: If you are the target of a healing power that grants you regeneration, increase the regeneration value by 2 + one-quarter your level. Throwing Precision: You gain a +1 racial bonus to ranged attack rolls when using weapons with the light thrown property. Berserker Rage: You may use berserker rage as a daily power.

Berserker Rage Troll Racial Power You look inward, and allow your rage to overcome your sense of
