• Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

– The FAA is mandated by public law to write reasonable rules affecting the operation, manufacturing and maintenance of civil aircraft, aircraft engines, propellers and appliances

• The FAA activities include:-

– Safety regulation – Issues and enforces manufacturing Regulations and minimum standards

– Airspace and air traffic management

– Air navigation facilities

– Civil aviation abroad

– Commercial space transportation

operators of unsafe conditions

– Which aircraft can still be operated or grounded

immediately
