How to Change a Deal Reg Opportunity

• How to change a Deal Registration Opportunity to a regular opportunity (no rebate or incentive)

– Deal Registration Opportunities have a backend incentive/rebate.

– You can request to remove the incentive/rebate by contacting the Deal Registration Approval Desk via email at: dr-approval-desk@novell.com.

– When you make the request, the Deal Registration Approval Desk will change the Deal Registration Opportunity to a “Dealregtosales” Opportunity.

Dealregtosales Opportunities

• Continue to work and close this opportunity the same way you would work a Partner Sales Opportunity or Sales Opportunity

• There is no need to submit supporting documentation when you close the “dealregtosales” opportunity. That is only done for Deal Registration Opportunities.

• There is no incentive/rebate extensions needed.

• Other partners can now register their opportunity in the deal registration system for a backend incentive/rebate for this deal or opportunity.
