I n an era of increasingly shorter hospital stays and care in the community Dean House Residential home offers a lovely homely environment. Dean House has been established for over 20 years and is registered with the Care Quality Commission. It offers 24 hour care for long or short term, for those that wish to stay permanently or just need some quality care after an operation or illness or if those that love and usually care for you need a break or holiday. The day to day management of Dean House is overseen by our registered manager. 24 hour care is provided by a team of qualified carers. There is an extensive menu, which accommodates all tastes and dietary needs. The menu is changed regularly with input from the residents of Dean House. A ccommodation comprises of three double rooms and 22 single rooms, all en suite. Bedrooms can have their own telephone point and residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms if they desire. There is a lounge, conservatory, dining room and an accessible garden, which offers a warm and friendly place to socialise and relax. Dean House offers an extensive activity programme, including music for health, bingo, a weekly film and sherry morning, quizzes, reminiscence, drama and an exercise session with a qualified Physiotherapist. Individual physiotherapy, chiropody and hair dressing services are provided at an additional cost. Dean House also arranges regular visits for dentistry and optometry. Regular residents meetings are held, where residents are encouraged to voice their opinions and discuss what they would like to see happening within their home. D ean House is situated in tranquil East Preston just yards from the beach, with local shops and public houses within walking distance. East Preston is a small village between Worthing and Littlehampton, not far from the A27. Visitors are welcome at all times.
