Dear Customers & Friends,

On behalf of the November Gold Sale Group, we would like to extend our warmest welcome to our 9th Annual Prospect & Club Calf Sale. A new year brings new changes and new hope for things to return to normal! We are super excited to head to a new facility at the Lloyd Ex Grounds. SLS has been good to us over the years, but sometimes, it is time for a change. This past year we saw Junior and Open Shows popping up all through the Western Provinces. What an exciting year to be back in the Show Ring! Huge thank you to all the Juniors and their families for all of your hard work this past year, we can’t express how proud we all are of you! It was a year of uncertainty last fall, but you all put faith in our programs and purchased these calves and we couldn’t be more grateful. We saw many 4H Champi-ons at both Club & Regional Levels, Junior Show Champions and also a Calgary Stampede Champion Steer. It has been a crazy ride and we have enjoyed each and every minute watching you all back in that ring showing off your hard work and determination!

2021 has proven to be another trying year, with drought striking the west and that nasty “virus” still looming about. This year has proven the strength and resilience of the Ag Community. It is very apparent that when we all come together we can push forward and make things happen. This year our Sale group has brought their best to town. A group of steers that suit all ages and all levels of competi-tion and a group of elite show heifers and front pasture runners. We hope you can see we have put our best foot forward with the group we have on offer. Only the Good Ones Sell- so to speak.

We are extremely happy to welcome the DLMS crew back to broadcast our sale again this fall. They did an outstanding job for us last year and we are super impressed with the boost technology has given our sale. We would like to extend a big thank you to our families and friends that help to make this Sale happen, as it really does take a small village! We are also grateful to welcome our friend Mike Fleury back to the auction block this fall. Thank You Mike, for all you do for us and for believing in us these past 9 years, we are forever grateful for your support and friendship. We can’t express how proud we are to have you as a staple in the November Gold Sale.

It takes grit, a love for ag, beef, nature and this crazy unpredictable life to keep doing what we all do. In a year full of so many tough challenges it is comforting to know that we are a part of the Ag Family and we are not alone. To watch grain and cattle producers come together and help one another through a horrible drought brings back faith in Humanity. Farmers helping farmers, neighbors helping neighbors and friends helping friends. What a community the Ag community is!! “It will be better next year.” Let’s all hold on to that optimism and enjoy a busy fall, full of shows, friends and family.

Yours Truly,November Gold Sale Crew - Arch Holdings, Wright Livestock, Wright Cattle Company & Elldem Cattle Investments

This group of steers is everything we have been trying to achieve for the past 9 years. We couldn’t be more proud of the quality we have on offer and it is truly hard to pick a favorite. Rockstar is a real dream! Everyone who works with him falls in love with him. His gentle nature is second to none- truly the icing on the cake. We think Rockstar has endless potential. He is long bodied, soft made, stout, great haired and has such a slick front end. This calf is the real deal. His mother is known to raise Champions and he is a maternal sib to the steer Garrett Feige had a couple years ago, winning his 4H Club Show, PA Fair Steer Show, GMAK Open Show and Reserve at the Lloyd Ex Summer Show. We feel Rockstar has all of the potential of his brother before him. He was a member of our summer show string and was Reserve Champion Prospect at the Perdue Fair.

Gunner is an outstanding individual- a true powerhouse calf, full of natural muscle. He is as stout as you can make them, but doesn’t lack in struc-ture. He can get out and move with the best of them. He has great hair and a ton of style- we really think he will be a fun one! Gunner was a member of our summer show string and ended the summer with 2 banners under his belt- Champion Prospect at Perdue Fair and Reserve Prospect at Ag In Motion Livestock Days. Gunner is a maternal sib to the steer Carter McIntosh showed to Champion at his 4H Club show this spring. We feel Gunner will continue on like his brother before and hang a few more banners before his show career is over!

Our home raised Simmental herdsire really clicked well with our clubby cows and the Timberwagon steers we have on offer this year are proof of that! If color is your game- Hooch is your man! You can’t help but love the look of this steer. He is the whole package. He is long, good hipped, soft middled, smooth made, great haired and really just a show stopper. He definitely makes you look twice. Hooch was a member of our summer show string and took home Reserve Champion Prospect at the Weldon Ag Showcase. Take a long hard look at this one!

Char cross calves have been hot in the show ring. If you are looking for some heat take a look at Walt- he is one cool calf! Big ribbed, long bod-ied, good hipped, great haired and gentle natured, we feel Walt is such a great package. He is a real dream to show, with a wicked profile to turn any judge’s head. Walt was also a member of our summer show string and took home Champion Prospect honors at the Weldon Ag Showcase. We think Walt could be very competitive- have a look here!

Gus is another Timberwagon steer that gets us excited. He is such a cool little package. We have decided to enter him in the Lloyd Stockade Roundup Prospect Show. We thought it would be fun to show off a steer no one has seen before! We really appreciate Gus’ muscle shape and depth of body. He is sound as hell and can really get out and move. He has such a great haircoat that anyone will love and it is all topped off with a very gentle temperament. Gus would be a great jackpot or 4H calf for all ages.

Who doesn’t love a brockle face! Hank is a steer that really catches your eye. He has a ton of bone and shape, topped off with a great hair coat and mild temperament. He is loose hided, soft made and we think he will finish really well. We feel he will make an excellent 4H steer for any age and isn’t going to break the bank to finish!

This is our last year to offer natural Tom Selleck steers and we feel Boomer is a special one. A great way to carry on the Tom Selleck legacy with a high quality steer like Boomer. He is such a well balanced steer- long bodied, big hipped, a ton of flank and sound on the move. He really is a typical Tom Selleck steer, with his great hair, fuzzy ears and gentle nature. He is a maternal sib to “Flash”- a steer Jaycee Mitchell purchased last fall and showed in her Weldon Club. Boomer was also a member of the summer show string and took home Champion Prospect honors at Ag In Motion Livestock Days. Boomer will be a fun competitive steer for all ages.

Moose is a full sibling to the steer Mallie Mitchell showed last year. We feel Moose will finish well like his brother before him. We would describe him as an easy feeding steer with extra style. He is long and good muscled with a nice sleek front end. He has a really great temperament and would definitely be a good steer for all ages. Anyone could have a ton of fun with this guy!

28J has a fat steer look that is combined with an ultra-sleek design. 28J is a steer with tons of power and bone coupled with the great hair. 28J has that chubby good-looking presence about him that everybody desires. Watch for 28J in Lloyd this fall at Stockade Round-up, he’s worth a look.

Another impressive steer from this cross, for the 3rd year in a row! This guy has had 2 full brothers sell in our last 2 sales, and this cross is always one of our personal favourites. His brother from our 2020 sale sold to Ally Tetzlaff, and had a very successful season on the show circuit. Stout, correct, loads of flashy hair, and built like a tank! This one is a no-miss and he will turn some heads!

In my time of being in with the November Gold Sale the old Hereford cow has had one in just about every edition. And again here’s one that is more than deserving of being here. Well what can we say about Ellie May other than it is beyond hard to let this one go! In a crazy year full of so many uncertainties, we felt we should offer the best of the best, and here she is. Ellie May could hands down be one of the best we have ever raised in any breed- everyone who sees her loves her. We really appreciate the power in this heifer. She has a ton of bone and natural mass. A nice soft middle and good neck extension balance her out. She has a good foot under her and she can really get out and travel well. Her gentle nature makes her a show heifer for all ages. She is truly, in our eyes a front pasture runner. She comes from our home raised Daddy’s Money sire and a Monopoly cow that needs no introduction. Dixie has produced a number of good females with a daughter gracing the November Gold Sale a couple years back, selling to Double RN Ranching. Ellie May was a member of our summer show string, taking home Champion Commercial Heifer honors at the Perdue Fair. Jack showed her at Ag In Motion Livestock Days and was Reserve Heifer Calf in the Junior Show. Watch for her this fall at the Lloyd Stockade Roundup. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to add one of our very best to your herd.

Ruby is another special heifer, going back to our flush cow Muiheads Timberland 7A and the great NCB Cobra. Timberland daughters are no stranger to the November Gold sale ring, with 2 maternal sisters selling to Goudy Prairie Acres in our 2018 Sale. Ruby reminds us a lot of her mother when she was young. She is a little on the lighter colored side, but don’t let that sway you, her mother was the same color and she is proven to produce high quality bulls and females. Ruby is just that. She is long bodied and soft made, a very pretty feminine package. She can really get out and travel well and has a good set of feet under her. Ruby has excellent teat placement and beautiful udders are definitely a pattern in these Timberland daughters. In the 2019 edition I offered choice on two outstanding purebred females. One being the Annie 30G female that Hayden Elliot-Nelson has campaigned the last couple years with great success. And the other was Ruby, the dam of this stand out female. Ruby 136J is packed with maternal traits and some of the leading genetics in the Angus business. If you are after a 4-H prospect that could take you to the next level in showing while having the opportunity to display at all major stock shows, we are confident this one will excel in both the ring and pasture.

There is something to be said about cow families and it’s not just important in the purebred world. The 714D cow has produced some of the most maternal, high producing calves of any cow in my cross breeding program. Candy gets her name from the grand dam whom Hayden Elliot-Nelson and I hung many banners with. A maternal sib was sold in 2019 to Quaid Robertson and he campaigned her not only as a yearling but also this year as a 2 year old pair with great success. Just like past maternal sibs this one is a sweetheart to work with and would match up well with a young 4h’er.
