On the coverJean E. Puiforcat, great grandson of thefounder of the company deeply marked the history of the world-famous Frenchsilver manufacturer with his emblematic Art Dèco creations in the 1920s and 30s. Originally crafted in 1932, and reissued, the exquisite Jean E. Puiforcat Clock isnow a limited edition of 50 numbered pieces. The original bold design, enhancedwith a fine Swiss mechanical movement featuring 11 rubies for 21 days of operation, incorporates a constellation of12 white marble cylinders embossed withhour digits distributed around a central stud holding the hands. famed French porcelain maker

Bernardaud commissioned a

group of contemporary artists

each to create a line of unique

Each artist used the porcelain

plate as a new kind of canvas

and designed a limited edition

collection.

Fascinated by a 16th-century

Japanese technique known as

Kintsugi, Paris-based artist

Sarkis created this stunning

dinner service, making visible

“repairs” in fired ceramic using

a mix of lacquer and gold,

which increases the aesthetic

value. Every plate is unique,

as the artist made different

repairs on each one, as if it

were a precious ancient object.
