dear god

Dear God… Pages after pages, have I been lost, in your dark world of parables… Of deviance and lust, hatred and mistrust for the obliteration of the misguided. How glorious kings fell to sand and dust Their names forgotten by time senile… Whilst great men too holy for earth, must dwell in eternal Light. Yet undone by desires, hardly innocent- sacred nevermore- pathless we are and led astray… and answerable once more. Oh God, Oh God! Must we live to sigh, every moment we pass… and every moment we are alive? Oh God, Oh God! Must we say goodbye, every time we are bereaved… and every time we die?

  • Dear God

Pages after pages, have I been lost,

in your dark world of parables Of deviance and lust, hatred and mistrust

for the obliteration of the misguided.

How glorious kings fell to sand and dust

Their names forgotten by time senile Whilst great men too holy for earth,

    must dwell in eternal Light.

Yet undone by desires, hardly innocent-

    sacred nevermore- pathless we are

and led astray and answerable once more.

    Oh God, Oh God!

    Must we live to sigh,

every moment we pass and every moment we are alive?

    Oh God, Oh God!

    Must we say goodbye,

every time we are bereaved and every time we die?
