T he Abbey Community Centre will be hosting another of its very successful ‘Restart Parties’ on 18th November between

1.00am and 1pm. These events are an opportunity for any of you to bring along any electrical gadgets/items that need fixing. We have a team of experts on hand to try their best with your item—it could be a toaster, kettle, laptop, come along and give it a try, no

need to book, just turn up…

L ast year a talented local musician performed a beautiful piano recital for us at the Abbey. She has agreed to do another

performance this year in November. If any of you would like to find out more, give us a call and we should have more details nearer the time.

L astly, don’t forget about our wonderful new Saturday Community Café (Abbey’s Café). Many Kilburn Good Neighbours members have already been enjoying our

delicious home-cooked and very low costs food on a Saturday. The café runs from 11.00am to 2pm and as well as a variety of delicious foods including specials of the day and yummy desserts there is an opportunity to get help with any computer issues or to join in with some creative arts and crafts activities. If you’d like to talk about coming to the café or get your hands on some of our free meal vouchers, give Joanna a call.

We hope you continue to make good use of Kilburn Good Neighbours, that those of you who have a regular volunteer visiting still enjoy it and those of you who get help from Frank or Simon find that useful. If you’d like a volunteer to visit you either occasionally or regularly, call us on 020 7604 4823 and we’ll try and find you someone to match your interests and personality! I can also visit to help with correspondence, forms, housing issues etc. so don’t hesitate to call.

With best wishes, Joanna
