This two-hour magical holiday adventure is perfect for all ages. Take a magical train ride to the North Pole! On the way you will enjoy delicious hot cocoa and some yummy candy. At the North Pole meet some silly elves, and even Santa. BIBLF is also looking for volunteers make this event an unforgettable experience through becoming a chef on the train, an elf at the North Pole, or a greeter at the station. Two journeys happen today, at 4pm and again at 6:30pm.Tickets and volunteers sign-ups can be found at www.journeytothenorthpole.org. Fill a stocking and find great gifts for your teens, ages 12-18. Teens need a little Santa too!! Pizza and Movie: Freedom Public Library will host their Pizza & Movie Night from 5- 6:45pm tonight. "Smallfoot" turns the Bigfoot legend up- side down when a bright young Yeti finds something he thought didnt exist—a human. News of this smallfootbrings him fame and a chance with the girl of his dreams. It also throws the simple Yeti community into an uproar over what else might be out there in the big world beyond their snowy village.   • Cookie Swap: The public is invited to Green Mountain Conservation Center's annual holiday cookie swap. Bring your favorite cookies to share and a tin or box for taking your assorted cookies home! Festive music, cookie decorating for kids, and recipe swapping are all part of this fun, family-friendly event! Kids will decorate their own gingerbread cookie to take home. Mark your calendars and join us at 11am.

    Holiday Cookie Decorating: Mckaella Cooper, owner and baker for Mckaella's Sweet Shop will be leading a cookie decorating workshop at the Conway Public Library at 1:30pm. This event is free for kids of all ages over 5 and their caregivers. Spots are limited and registration is requested by calling 447-5552. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

    10th annual Nutcracker Sweets: Tina Titzer's Act One Dance Company is proud to present our 10th annual Nutcracker Sweets!     Volunteering Tuesday: Volunteers are welcome at the Theater in the Wood from 9:30am-12:30pm to help Believe in Books Literacy Foundation prep for their key fundraiser, Journey to the North Pole™! Help fold scarves, tie bells, and count candy. Coffee and snacks will be provided to all volunteers! Join us in making this event magical!

    Holiday Open House: Fryeburg Public Library (and The Friends of the Fryeburg Public Library) will host their annual Holiday Open House from 3-6pm.

    Unicorn Club: All are invited to the Conway Public Library for Unicorn-themed crafts, snacks, books, art, and more! This free program takes place at 3:30pm on the third Tuesday of each month. For more information call 447-5552.

    Maker Madness: The Conway Public Library hosts maker opportunities for young people ages 10 and up every Wednesday from 3:30-5pm. Activities change weekly. For more information call 447-5552.

    Water Testing Workshop: This evening from 5:30-6:30pm Green Mountain Conservation Group (GMCG) will host Groundwater Education through Water Evaluation and Testing (GET WET!) community night at the Conway Public Library. Participants are encouraged to bring in a sample of their home well water and test for six parameters, including; chloride, conductivity, hardness, nitrates/nitrites, pH, and iron. Learn about common contaminants, health concerns, and access resources for more water quality information.

    MWV Toastmasters: MWV Toastmasters Club meets at 6:30pm at Granite State College campus. New members are always welcome.

    Small Farmers Club: At Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm in Tamworth Village, young children can experience the seasonal rhythms and chores on a historic farmstead. Through age-appropriate activities—including crafts, games, stories and animal meet and greets—participants enjoy season-based activities such as planting, milking, harvesting and wintertime indoor activities. This month’s theme is Fascinating Fruits. Parent/guardian must accompany their child for the duration of the 10-11am activity.     Family Story Time: The North Conway Public Library presents an hour -long family story time for children of all ages on the last Saturday of each month at 10am. Enjoy making a small craft and a group story time in our Children’s Room, plus an activity outside, weather allowing. Children must be accompanied by an adult and most appropriate for ages 4 and up. Visitors are welcome!

    Candlelight Service: The Historic Chatham Church, in Chatham, opens the church for

    The Material Girls meet the first and third Tuesday of the month to make quilts for various charities where those quilts can be useful. Along with making the charity quilts, there are new quilt techniques learned at the meetings. Some members started as pressers and are now making their own quilts. The meetings are at the Church of Christ on 113 just outside of Conway, next to the Journey Church. They start at 10am and continue until 12noon or shortly after.
