Dear Parishioners, Time flies! Christmas is around the corner. We celebrate this IV Sunday of Advent, Sunday where the liturgy invites us to focus on the person of the Virgin Mary, and with her, all the longing of a mother waiting for the birth of her child. This waiting, in the midst of the difficulties of the time we live in, wants to give us hope. It sounds redundant, but perhaps we could be waiting without hope, that is, waiting for what does not give us the real hope of living. For this reason, together with the Virgin Mary, it would be good to ask ourselves: what am I waiting for? That waiting, does it give me hope? How can I help others to wait with hope? From December 16 we just began our Novena of posadas-aguinaldos. In each of the days of this Novena we have had and will be placing day by day an image that is part of the nativity. With each image, we want to get ourselves into the nativity as well. For the Christmas celebrations, bring your image of the Child Jesus, to be blessed at the end of the Eucharist. Then, when you put it back, do it all together as a family. So we will have a moment of prayer, thanksgiving and an opportunity to share as a family. Queridos feligreses, A las puertas de la Navidad, celebramos este IV Domingo de Adviento, domingo donde la liturgia nos invita a centramos en la persona de la Virgen María, y con ella, todo el anhelo de una madre esperando por el nacimiento de su hijo. Esta espera, en medio de las dificultades del tiempo que vivimos, quiere proporcionarnos esperanza. Suena redundante, pero quizá podríamos estar esperando sin esperanza, es decir, esperando aquello que no nos da la auténtica esperanza de vivir. Por esto, junto con la Virgen María, sería bueno preguntarnos: ¿qué espera es la que tengo? Esa espera, ¿me da esperanza? ¿Cómo puedo ayudar a otros a que esperen con esperanza? Desde el 16 de diciembre iniciamos nuestra novena de posadas-aguinaldos. En cada uno de los días de esta novena hemos y estaremos colocando día a día una imagen de las que forman parte del pesebre. Con cada imagen queremos irnos metiendo también nosotros en el pesebre. Para las celebraciones de la Navidad, trae tu imagen del Niño Jesús, para ser bendecida al final de las eucaristías. Luego, cuando la coloques, hazlo reunidos todos como familia. Así tendremos un momento de oración, de acción de gracias y una oportunidad para compartir.
