Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

The season of hope and joy is upon us!

The birth of a child is the best proof of God’s love. Every time a child enters into this world, the creative power of God manifests itself and makes man His partner, showing how much He honors and esteems humanity.

The supreme expression of the divine love is none other than the Human birth of God’s son. “God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him has eternal life,” Jesus Himself told Nicodemus who was reluctant to believe that a man, condemned for sin, could be born again and become a son of God. Such is the great love of the Father! Jesus treats us as partners, friends, brothers and sisters. He does not want to see us condemned to unhappiness and pain.

Jesus said: “I have come to the world so that men have life and have it abundantly.” So the first purpose for the birth of Jesus is to give us life. And the life promised by Christ is the source of joy and hope. By His coming, the promise of our salvation is achieved: we are delivered from the slavery of sin. We are now children of God. We need not wander in darkness but in the source of Light: Jesus Himself.

He is the source of hope for in Jesus our life has meaning and a goal. Our sufferings and hardships will one

day be crowned by victory. “Without me you cannot do anything.”

Let the joy of Christmas penetrate our hearts and souls, so we may change our lives to become peacemakers, love others as we love ourselves, and love God above all things. Christmas is about the Glory of God, peace, joy, hope and love.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas en Cristo,

La temporada de la esperanza y la alegría está sobre nosotros!

El nacimiento de un niño es la mejor prueba del amor de Dios. Cada vez que un niño entra a este mundo, el poder creativo de Dios se manifiesta y hace que el hombre Su compañero, que muestra cuánto Él honra y estima la humanidad. La expresión suprema del amor divino no es otro que el nacimiento humano del Hijo de Dios. "Dios amó

tanto al mundo que dio a su Hijo único, para que todo el que crea en El no perezca, sino que tenga vida eterna", el mismo Jesús dijo a Nicodemo que era reacio a creer que un hombre, condenado por el pecado, podría nacer de nuevo y convertirse en un hijo de Dios. Tal es el gran amor del Padre! Jesús nos trata como socios, amigos, hermanos y hermanas. Él no quiere vernos condenados a la infelicidad y el dolor.

Jesús dijo: "Yo he venido al mundo para que los hombres tengan vida y la tengan en abundancia." Así que el primer objetivo para el nacimiento de Jesús es para darnos vida. Y la vida prometida por Cristo es la fuente de la alegría y la esperanza. Por su venida, la promesa de nuestra salvación se logra: estamos libres de la esclavitud del pecado. Ahora somos hijos de Dios. No tenemos que vagamos en la oscuridad, sino en la fuente de luz: Jesús mismo.

Él es la fuente de la esperanza para en Jesús nuestra vida tiene un sentido y una meta. Nuestros sufrimientos y penurias algún día serán coronados por la victoria. "Sin mí usted no puede hacer nada."

Deja que la alegría de la Navidad penetre nuestros corazones y nuestras almas, para que podamos cambiar nuestras vidas para convertirse en constructores de paz, amar a los demás como a nosotros mismos, y amar a Dios sobre todas las cosas. Navidad es acerca de la gloria de Dios, la paz, la alegría, la esperanza y el amor.

Holy Year of Mercy

Our Hearts are Restless, Lord, until they rest in You Fourth Sunday of Advent

Gabriel, the heavenly messenger, has returned to heaven. The two holiest pregnancies in human history have begun. And now Mary, the young virgin given the most astounding promise ever, rushes south from Nazareth to near Jerusalem to see Elizabeth, the elderly priest’s wife.

Elizabeth was now learning how Sarah, the wife of Abraham, must have felt as she carried Isaac in her aged womb. Although Mary had consented to the most holy mission, Gabriel gave her proof of that mission given by God: Elizabeth is six months pregnant! And Mary had to see. And when Mary arrived, she was confronted with the first public testimony of John the Baptist. Perhaps Mary saw Elizabeth suddenly move after feeling the leap of the unborn son within her.

But she certainly heard her cousin’s words, the words that we for centuries repeat in the Hail

Mary: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.” It is often said that Mary is the first and greatest disciple of Jesus. If she was not made a disciple by Gabriel’s words, then she became one at this moment, converted by the Baptist’s silent, powerful leap of faith.

We have reached the end of Advent. Are our hearts prepared to welcome our Lord, to surrender our will to His, to love as unconditionally as He loves? Think on these things as the sun disappears on Dec. 24 and the people of God come together and invite the world to join them. Mary and Joseph are on their way to Bethlehem. There is no room in the inn. Let us make

room in our hearts for the Baby, the Son of Mary. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Cuarto Domingo de Adviento

Gabriel, el mensajero celestial, ha regresado al cielo. Los dos embarazos más sagrados de la historia humana han comenzado. Y ahora María, la joven virgen dada la promesa más increíble jamás, se precipita al sur de Nazaret a cerca de Jerusalén para ver a Elizabeth, la esposa del

anciano sacerdote. Elizabeth ahora estaba aprendiendo cómo Sara, la esposa de Abraham, debe

Sacramento de la Reconciliación y La Hora Santa El Adviento es un tiempo de preparación que dirige nuestros corazones y mentes a la segunda venida de Cristo al encontrar su nacimiento en la Navidad. Este sacramento es un regalo que nos ha dado Jesús para que podamos renovar nuestra fe, reavivar nuestra relación con Dios y recibir su perdón y el amor curativo todos los sábados desde las 3:45-4:45. Así que vengan y retornen a esta fuente increíble de la gracia, la misericordia y la sanación de Dios. Sacrament of Reconciliation & Holy Hour Advent is a time of preparation that directs our hearts and minds to Christ’s second coming by encountering His birth on Christmas. During this Season, the priests are helping to bring you into greater intimacy with Our LORD by offering a weekly Holy Hour with Confessions. This Sacrament is a gift given to us by Jesus so we can renew our faith, rekindle our relationship with God, and receive His forgiveness and healing love Every Saturday from 3:45pm to 4:45pm. So come and return to this incredible source of God’s grace, mercy, and healing. Let us renew the face of our parish as we encounter God’s forgiveness during the Holy Year of Mercy
