Superheroes in our community have embraced the plan that no child should wait for life-changing mental health treatment. On September 25, 2015 it was announced that the challenging goal to raise $5,000,000 had been achieved. The swell of support for Niagara’s children has momentum beyond anything imaginable! And now the Mending Children’s Minds volunteer Campaign Cabinet is fearlessly pursuing the dream – to continue raising funds to allow the doors of Niagara’s centre-of-excellence for children’s mental health to open MORTGAGE FREE. Every dollar raised allows more children to receive treatment at the Branscombe Mental Health Centre. Pathstone’s TAPP-C –The Arson Prevention Program for Children has been identified as one of the most effective and dynamic TAPP-C sites in the province by the Office of the Fire Marshall & Emergency Management. This prestigious group has recognized Michelle Pharand, Pathstone’s TAPP-C specialist, for her expertise, dedication, professionalism, and extensive community collaboration. Michelle was invited to facilitate workshops at the Ontario Fire College in Gravenhurst, Ontario. She shared expertise and insights with the goal of creating and enhancing similar programs to address juvenile fire setting behaviours across the province. Bragging . . . just a little!

Pathstone Foundation is thrilled to announce the establishment of its very own endowed fund at the Niagara Community Foundation. This pot of money will grow as a nest egg for the future as contributions are made, either through Pathstone Foundation or through the Niagara Community Foundation. The endowment fund will be held in perpetuity to provide interest and dividend earnings for use exclusively by Pathstone. If you would like to learn more about this opportunity to support Pathstone’s work for children, please contact the Foundation office at 905-688-6850.
