Season’s Greetings LNES Families! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and was able to spend quality time with family and friends. November was another busy month at LNES! Thank you to all of the families who came out to support us at our Community Holiday Shopping Event on Friday. I hope you were able to find some unique gifts and get your picture with Santa! We also hosted 1st grade and Kindergarten activity night in the month of November. The children had a great time! I wanted to once again thank everyone for their incredible generosity of time in planning all the events, running them and donating all the supplies that are needed. We cannot do any of this without our volunteers. December is filled with lots of fun activities for your children to enjoy! December 4-6th, we will be having our winter book fair. Please feel free to stop by the school lobby on Wednesday December 5th from 6-8 pm, and add to your child’s library. From December 11-13th, the children will get to shop for holiday presents at our annual Holiday Shop Craft Fair. We have many crafters coming in to sell their handmade items for the children to select and surprise their loved ones. If you are interested in volunteering for either event, or have any questions, please contact the committee chairs Crystal Skutches and Jamie Rogan. We also will be celebrating the holidays in the classrooms with our Holiday Parties and a visit from Santa. As always, we thank you in advance for working with our Lead Parents to help in the classroom, as well as donate supplies needed to make special memories, which last a lifetime. The parties will be held on Thursday, December 20th. Homeroom Lead Parents will be in contact with more details soon.

As a reminder, there WILL NOT be a PTA meeting this month. We will resume our regular PTA meetings on Thursday, January 3, 2018 at 7pm. We hope to start the New Year off right and see you all there! BOOK FAIR

I want to thank all the volunteers for helping the kids at the Holiday Book Fair. The extra assistance allowed LNES to have a successful fair and I appreciate all the time that you were able to give. The kids were so excited to look around and purchase new reading material. Hopefully, they will find some time during the

PARENTS-IN-ACTION HOLIDAY SHOPS

Three days in early December, our large conference room is transformed into a craft fair extravaganza and the students are given time to shop for their loved ones with the help of PTA volunteers. The majority of the items are handmade and everything is less
