I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and didn’t
overindulge too much!
Welcome to the first month of winter and the last month of the
year. December often marks the beginning of rain, snow, and
cold weather. For me, it is the month of giving, family traditions
and Christmas. As you relish the goodies, decorate your home
and enjoy time with family and friends. May the joy continue to
radiate in your lives long after Christmas is gone. Merry
Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!!!
Traditions are stories families write together.
Thank you Leo and Donna Mann for hosting our Christmas
Party !!!!

The Annual Vettes for Veterans Car Show was
held Nov. 10th at the Shoppes at Carlsbad on El
Camino Real. The show, hosted by North Coast
Vettes, supports Paralyzed Veterans of
America, and the Semper Fi Fund of San
Diego. To date these car shows have raised
over $147,000 for our Veterans, past and
present, who have helped to keep us free.
Ron and Michael Molendyk led the OCV
caravan of 12 members in 8 cars down to the
show. Everyone had a fun day. There were a lot
of really nice Corvettes to enjoy along with
music and socializing. The group ate lunch at
Islands Restaurant. Both Ron Molendyk and
Conda Takanabe won door prizes at the show.
Leo and Donna Mann invited everyone over to
their home in Oceanside for a glass of wine
before heading home. Thanks to Ron and
Michael for coordinating the event.

Model A Pancake Breakfast The Orange County Model A Ford Club will host
their 58th Annual Pancake Breakfast fund-
raiser on Sunday March 24 from 8 AM – 11 AM
at Hart Park, 701 S Glassell St. in Orange. This
event is extremely popular with car lovers and
Car Clubs. Frank Reese of OCV is one of the
organizers of the breakfast, and several OCV
members usually attend to show our support
(even though this is a Ford club). Plan to come
out for a great breakfast including pancakes,
sausage, eggs, juice, and coffee. The cost is $7
for adults and $4 for kids. Entrance to the park
is free. See flyer page 13.
The Model A Ford includes any Ford car or
truck manufactured between 1927 thru 1931.
You can expect to see 300+ Model A’s on
display at the park on the morning of the
breakfast. Drawings for prizes will go on during
most of the day. Bring your Model A, family and
friends for a great time. This event is a fun way
to spend a Sunday while enjoying the great
show displaying these historic automobiles.
THEY’VE PLAYED A MAJOR ROLE IN DIETING
RESEARCH.
Partly due to their popularity, and partly due to the
fact that they’re small, durable and divisible by color,
M&M's have been used in all sorts of dietary studies
aimed at revealing the bad eating habits we’ve relied
on over the years. One study revealed that
participants given a wider range of colors ate more
than those given a limited range, while another
showed that imagining eating M&M's before having
access to them cut down on the quantity eaten.
Another study had several very fortunate participants
watch action movies while eating M&M's, and found
that the chaotic diversion made people consume
more than if they watched, say, Charlie Rose.
