FRIENDSPEAK UPDATE

Unlike other language programs, FriendSpeak is one-on-one with the emphasis on relationships and meaningful conversations based on Biblical texts. The result is a series of heart-felt conversations about faith, love, and the source of abundant life! This is effective because it offers something students want but have difficulty finding – a friend who will help them practice and improve their conversational English. We started FriendSpeak at Edmond in 2008. We currently have 19 students with several teachers having multiple students each week. Students have been from South Korea, Venezuela, China, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Mexico, Pakistan, Vietnam, Germany and others. We advertise at UCO and on our fence at Angel Park and many students hear by word of mouth about the classes. If you are interested in being involved with FriendSpeak contact Dale Lollar or Wiley Risley. There will be a training session early in 2020.
