"R & R" COLLECTION TO HELP WITH RENOVATIONS

OF THE POPE FRANCIS PARISH CENTER

Today's Second Collection is for the ongoing "Repair and

Renovation" of our Church Buildings. As we have begun the

Renovation of our "Pope Francis Parish Center", the "R & R"

Collections will be helping us, in addition to the funds from the

Generations of Faith Campaign, to pay for the Renovation. We

ask parishioners to be as generous as possible. We THANK

everyone for their sacrifices and generous support!!

CHRISTMAS SECOND COLLECTION

The second Collection for Monday, December 25th, 2017 will

be for a special Christmas offering to help Catholic Charities in

Brooklyn & Queens. So many of our neighbors rely on Catholic

Charities for support with basic needs and the tools to achieve self

-sufficiency to care for our children and families. Thank you for

your generosity.

Holy and Joyful Christmas. We will remember you especially in

our prayers and at Christmas Mass, as well as praying for many

THANK YOU FOR A BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS SHOW

AND CONCERT !!

Once again our parish was Blessed with a very Beautiful and

prayerful Christmas Show and Concert and with a “Standing

room only” around that filled the auditorium. We sincerely thank

all those who worked so hard and shared so much of their time

and talent to prepare for this Concert and Show that so wonder-

fully presented the Christmas Story and Spirit!! We especially

thank Mrs. Ines Cordero, our Director of Religious Education

(Catechism) Program and Mr. Lawrence Harris, our Music

Director, who worked with many other leaders, parents, and

volunteers to direct and produce the Show and Concert. We thank

all of our CHOIRS: the Adult Spanish Choir, CCJ Youth Choir,

and, especially, our Children's Choir, as well all the musicians.

We thank the "back-stage crew" and all those who sold tickets.

Also, a very special "Thank You" to the children of our

Catechism program, who brought the Scriptures "to life" in the

presentation of the Nativity in Bethlehem. I am sure that everyone

who attended the Show was grateful for the inspiring

performances, which helped us all to better prepare to celebrate

the Birth of Jesus at Christmas. Sincerely, Fr. Kevin

THANK YOU FOR THE AGUINALDO MASSES

We thank all those who participated in and attended the early

morning "Aguinaldo Masses". In particular, we thank all the

parish groups that provided Breakfast each morning after Mass.

As the number of people attending the Masses continued to

increase, somehow there was always enough food!!

CHRISTMAS OFFICE HOURS

The Rectory will be closed on Monday, December 25 and

Tuesday, December 26, in observance of Christmas and on

Monday, January 1, for the New Year. You can look at the center

of the bulletin for the schedule of Christmas Masses.

NEWLY REGISTERED PARISHIONERS - ENVELOPES

For all those who Registered as parishioners during the past month,

we have packets of Donation Envelopes that have been mailed to

you, if you have not picked them up in church. You can also come

to the rectory to pick up a packet. When you receive the packet of

envelopes, you will no longer need to use the (Blue) Temporary

Envelopes. ** If you have any questions or if you are an active

parishioner and have NOT received your envelopes, CALL the

Rectory (718-768-6065) to let us know.

THE 2017 ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL

This past March, the parishioners of St. Michael's made promises

(pledges) to the Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) totaling $65,524,

but thus far only $36,501 has been paid. Our Diocesan Goal is

$39,425. Every dollar over that goal is returned to the parish and we

can use it towards the Renovation of the Pope Francis Center. We

are always grateful for the generosity of our parishioners. If anyone

has questions about the ACA or about their pledge, they can speak

with Fr. Kevin and/or call the Rectory (718-768-6065).

FREE IMMIGRATION LEGAL OFFICE

On Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 10:30 am-2:15pm you will

be able to have a free consultation with an immigration lawyer, in

English, Spanish and Mandarin, you will be given advice and

resources, free child care and you will be able to check the other

available immigration resources that will be available to you. To

RENOVACIONES DEL CENTRO PAPA FRANCISCO

La Segunda Colecta de hoy es para la "Reparación y Renovación"

de nuestros Edificios. Al comenzar la Renovación de nuestro

"Centro Parroquial Papa Francisco", las Colectas "R & R" nos

ayudarán, además de los fondos de la Campaña de Generaciones

de Fe, a pagar por la Renovación. Les pedimos a los feligreses que

SEGUNDA COLECTA DE NAVIDAD

La segunda Colecta del lunes, 25 de diciembre 2017, será para

una ofrenda especial de Navidad para ayudar a Caridades

Católicas en Brooklyn y Queens. Muchos de nuestros vecinos

dependen de Caridades Católicas para apoyar las necesidades

básicas y las herramientas para alcanzar la autosuficiencia para

cuidar y ayudar a niños y familias. Gracias por su generosidad.

NAVIDAD Y UN PROSPERO AÑO NUEVO

Nos gustaría desear a todos nuestros feligreses y familias una

bendita, santa y alegre Navidad. Les recordamos a todos ustedes

en nuestras oraciones y en la misa de Navidad, así como orando

por muchas bendiciones en el Año Nuevo. Es un privilegio y una

alegría para nosotros servir al pueblo de San Miguel y ser parte de

la maravillosa comunidad de Fe y estamos muy agradecidos por el

amor, el apoyo y las oraciones durante todo el año y especialmente

GRACIAS POR UN HERMOSO SHOW DE NAVIDAD!

Una vez más nuestra parroquia fue bendecida con un hermoso

espectáculo y concierto de Navidad. Agradecemos sinceramente a

todos aquellos que trabajaron tan duro y compartieron tanto de su

tiempo y talento para preparar este Concierto y Show que tan

maravillosamente presentó la Historia y el Espíritu de Navidad!!

Agradecemos especialmente a la Sra. Inés Cordero, Directora del

Programa de Educación Religiosa (Catecismo) y al Sr. Lawrence

Harris, nuestro Director Musical, quienes trabajaron con muchos

otros líderes, padres y voluntarios para dirigir y producir el Show

y el Concierto. Agradecemos a todos nuestros miembros del coro:

el Coro Español de Adultos, el Coro Juvenil CCJ y, sobre todo,

nuestro Coro Infantil, así como a todos los músicos. Así también a

los que trabajaron detrás de las escenas y a todos aquellos que

vendieron boletos. También, le damos "Gracias" especiales a los

niños de nuestro programa de Catecismo, que le dieron “vida" a

las Escrituras en la presentación de la Natividad en Belén. Estoy

seguro de que todos los que asistieron a el show están agradecidos

por las actuaciones inspiradoras que nos ayudaron a prepararnos

mejor para celebrar el Nacimiento de Jesús en Navidad.

GRACIAS POR LAS MISAS DE AGUINALDO

Agradecemos a todos los que participaron y asistieron en la

madrugada para las "Misas de Aguinaldo". En particular,

agradecemos a todos los grupos parroquiales que ofrecieron el

desayuno cada mañana después de la misa. A medida que el

número de personas que asistían a las misas continua aumentando,

de alguna manera siempre había suficiente comida.

HORARIO DE OFICINA EN NAVIDAD

La Rectoría estará cerrada el lunes, 25 de diciembre y el martes, 26

de diciembre en observación de la Navidad y el lunes 1 de enero

por el Año Nuevo. El Horario de Misas de Navidad esta en el

centro del Boletín.

FELIGRESES INSCRIPTOS RECIENTEMENTE -SOBRES

Para todos aquellos que se inscribieron como feligreses el último

mes, hemos enviado por correo sus paquetes de sobres, si no lo ha

recogido en la iglesia. También puede recoger un paquete de sobres

en la rectoría. Cuando reciba el paquete de sobres, ya no necesitará

usar los sobres "azules". **Si tiene alguna pregunta sobre los

sobres O, si ya es un feligrés activo y NO ha recibido sus sobres,

LLAME a la Rectoría (718-768-6065).

LA APELACIÓN CATOLICA ANUAL 2017

El pasado mes de marzo, los feligreses de San Miguel hicieron

promesas a la Campaña Católica Anual (ACA) por un total de

$65,524, pero hasta ahora solo se han donado $36,501. Nuestra meta

diocesana es de $39,425. Cada dólar sobre ese objetivo se devuelve a

la parroquia y podemos usarlo para la Renovación del Centro Papa

Francisco. Siempre estamos agradecidos por la generosidad de
