As we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family this
weekend, pray together with your family this special
prayer:
Prayer for Families
We bless your name, O Lord,
for sending your own incarnate Son,
to become part of a family,
so that, as he lived its life,
he would experience its worries and its joys.
We ask you, Lord,
to protect and watch over this family,
so that in the strength of your grace
its members may enjoy prosperity,
possess the priceless gift of your peace,
and, as the Church alive in the home,
bear witness in this world to your glory.
We ask this thought Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Happy New Year!
Alpha is series of sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith.
Our series will run for 10 weeks, each session looks at different questions that
people have about faith. It is an open, informal and honest
place to explore and discover Jesus. We will offer Alpha on
Sunday mornings (starting at 8:30am, in WR) during the season
of Christmas and Ordinary Time and we will repeat the series
on a weekday afternoon during the Lenten season.

The Giving Tree’s 30th Year
This year marked the 30th year that many of our
parishioners have been involved with Paul’s Pantry
and the Giving Tree program. During the 21 years
when it was held at St. Mary’s in Greenleaf and the
9 years since it has been at all three St. Clare Parish
sites, over 3,200 gifts
have been purchased, wrapped and given to
those less fortunate in our community. What a
wonderful way to share the goodwill, joy and
peace of Christmas. Thank you to all who
have participated over the years and especially
to Lois Cornette, who continues to make it all
happen every year.

Happy New Year!
Congratulations to Mrs. Van Helvoirt, Mrs. Smits, Mrs. De Groot and Mrs. Kola! They were all
nominated for a Golden Apple award.
The St. Nick breakfast, put on by the Home and School Organization, had another successful year
and over $5,000 was made. I would like to thank everyone who was involved in planning and or-
ganizing this wonderful event! Thank you to all who attended. The 3K, 4K and Kindergarten students did an awesome
job with their performance. Thank you again to Mrs. Van Helvoirt, Mrs. Smits, Mrs. Bartosch and Mrs. Mommaerts for
working with the students.
The new fence was installed December 6 and looks great. Thank you to Home and School for paying for the new fence,
to Stefan Fabian and his son Carson for organizing the removal of the old fence and thanks to all who helped with this.
We have had many small fundraisers to replace our Fall Feasting for Funds. Many businesses were unable to host an
evening fundraiser due to various reasons, but wanted to help us out with our fundraising. We decided to do several
smaller fundraisers to make up the funds. Here is an outline of how we did:
Marcus Theater gift cards: We did very well! This definitely covered one or two nights of Feasting for Funds! Thank
you so much for supporting this fundraiser. Thank you to Nicole Burban for organizing this fundraiser.
Total Sales: $5,150.50 Profit: $772.58 Families With Over $300 In Sales: 7
We made $89.51 in the month of November from Mystic Monk!!! This is a monthly order and forms are available on
our website.
The LuLaRoe fundraiser has earned $296. Thank you Nicole Tuma for hosting and donating to St. Clare.

PARISH/COMMUNITY EVENTS
"TIDbits: Theological Ideas from the Deacons"
Are there any on-line resources for forming Domestic
Church?
The US Catholic Bishops website (www.usccb.org)
includes a “tool box” for Domestic Church, and they
recommend the following:
1. Pray and read scripture together
2. Make sacraments a celebration, especially
baptism, confirmation, first Eucharist, etc.
3. Have a Catholic environment: pictures,
crucifix, etc., in the home
4. Make Sunday & Holy Day Mass a priority
5. Demonstrate stewardship, love,
forgiveness, and humility to one another
6. Talk openly: about God, about the Church,
even about her faults
The bishops also recommend the website:
www.domestic-church.com, which is filled with
articles, family activities, stories, and other resources for
building the Domestic Church.
The Knights of Columbus also have a website
(www.kofc.org) with a section on the Domestic Church
and an entire section with suggestions and resources for
building a “family fully alive”.

WINTER WEATHER POLICY
Occasionally, winter weather slows us down, even in
the Church. If the weather appears too hazardous and
you wonder if Mass will go on as scheduled, please
follow these guidelines:
DAILY MASS (and Monday Communion Service) -
If the Wrightstown School District cancels school
because of winter weather, Mass will be cancelled for
that day and the Mass intention for that day will be
reassigned.
WEEKEND MASS - In the event driving conditions
are deemed unsafe for travel, check your email, text
messages, the Parish Website or Facebook page to see
if any or all Weekend Masses are cancelled. Again, all
Mass Intentions will be reassigned.
In the Hospital?—If you or a loved one is staying at
the hospital, please inform the Parish Office. With privacy
laws, hospitals may or may not let us know you are with
them (even if you ask the hospital to contact us), nor are
hospitals free to give the Parish information about you as a
patient (even if we ask). If you’d like to inform the Parish
Office of your situation, please contact us directly at (920)
864-2550. Thank you.
