CHRISTMAS COMPETITIONThis Christmas we would love to celebrate our community and it’s residents.

With large events on hold for the moment, it’s important to still feel connected during this time and participate in activities that bring our community together.

In the same spirit as our Halloween competition, we invite you (our residents, living in Meridian) to send us photos of your home decorated with it’s best and brightest Christmas attire.

Take a walk with your family around the neighbourhood, enjoy the festivities and vote for the home you believe to be the most deserving. A Christmas hamper full of seasonal goodies is the prize for one lucky family! It’s time to light up our neighbourhood for Christmas.

Competition closes Sunday 20th December at 11:59pm.

SUMMER ISSUE EDITION 5

NEIGHBOURING SPORTS PRECINCTThe Active Open Space proposal is a welcome addition to Meridian and the wider community. The facilities are set to improve the well-being of the local residents and employees in the future commercial precinct nearby.

The proposal is set to create many jobs and has flow-on economic benefits to the region. Not only with the initial construction phase but includes future grounds management, competition organisers, coaches, umpires, cleaners and volunteers and use for competitions and carnivals.

THE PROPOSAL INCLUDES:• Indoor Sports Facility with 6 courts to cater for Netball, Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis and Volleyball.

• 4 Outdoor Netball Courts

• 6 Outdoor Tennis Courts

• Lawn Bowls

• Indoor Stadium and a Shared Pavilion

MERIDIAN REACHED AN IMPRESSIVE MILESTONE THIS YEAR.. . SELLING ITS 1,000TH LOT!

This is a huge achievement for everyone involved especially during a global pandemic. This year may have come with many unexpected lows but it’s good to see there have still been some highs too, and purchasing your first home is definitely of that calibre and worth celebrating.

HALLOWEEN COMPETITION WINNER - SANDEEP SINGH

Despite not being able to trick or treat around the community, it was fantastic to see our community enthusiastically participate in our Facebook Halloween best-dressed competition.

A big congratulations to our winner Sandeep Singh! We hope all our residents enjoyed their Halloween.

What were you looking for in your new community?A close community that will have a future for us and hopefully our growing family.

Why does Meridian tick all the boxes?It has parks, is close to the shops, and has an industrial area with different companies and opportunities.

What are you most looking forward to about living in Meridian? Being close to our friends and family members who also live in Meridian.

In terms of building your new home, what are you most excited about?Everything! Since we purchased our house and land package we have been to the land every week (once the 5km rule got lifted). We cannot wait for our house to be built so we can move in!

RESIDENT INFORMATION OPTICOMM OptiComm provides an alternative to the NBN, by providing fibre right to your home, rather than relying on existing older services. Refer to our OptiComm flyer, which can be found under the My Meridian tab on the Meridian website, for more information on how to connect.

PERIMETER FENCING If you aren’t planning on building straight away, it is still important to secure your property. Please organise temporary fencing for your property to prevent the dumping of rubbish. It is a costly exercise for you as the home owner if clearing is needed prior to construction.

SHARED FENCING

All shared fencing should be arranged in collaboration with your neighbour. Head to Your Home on the Meridian website for information on the communication process.

LANDSCAPING INCENTIVE In order to be eligible for the landscaping incentive, you must have your front garden, including the driveway, nature strip and side fences completed within 90 days from the date on your Occupancy Permit.

Please refer to your Contract of Sale and your Developer Approval drawings for the specific requirements for your lot. Before you lodge your application, please ensure that your house and front garden comply with the Meridian Design Guidelines. Refer to Your Home on the Meridian website for a helpful checklist.

This year the Mum & Dad of Meridian, Daniel & Dani Begley, welcomed their first child.

Sebastian was born on the 30th of January 2020 weighing 3.7kgs and measuring 51cms long.
