“I think our district has been very advanced in terms of supporting students because of the use of UDL — that every teacher, every classroom will be looking for
different representations. I think that helped remove a lot of obstacles to students’ learning.”

Variety and number. Extracurriculars, addressing multiple interests are available to all students at all levels in BCSC.
At the elementary level, students can compete locally in Spell Bowl and math competitions.
Some elementary schools also offer Destination Imagination teams, a student-led activity that fosters children’s imaginations through a variety of projects. The teams compete both locally, on the state level and nationally.
From creative writing clubs to Skills USA, theater to mathletes or intramural sports to Rubik’s Cube clubs, both high schools in BCSC have something to offer everyone.
If students cannot find a club or group that interests them, they can fill out a form to create a school- authorized club of their own.
A main priority of BCSC is to make sure that every student can find a place to belong.
