God did this so that, by two

unchangeable things in which it is

impossible for God to lie, we who

have fled to take hold of the hope

offered to us may be greatly

encouraged. We have this hope

as an anchor for the soul, firm and

secure.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is that which gives us the assurance that the hope of the gospel can be fully embraced!

The resurrection of Christ

affirms the following:

1 Corinthians 15:52b-53

For the trumpet will sound, the

dead will be raised imperishable,

and we will be changed. For the

perishable must clothe itself with

the imperishable, and the mortal

with immortality.

1 Corinthians 15:54

When the perishable has been

clothed with the imperishable, and

the mortal with immortality, then

the saying that is written will come

true: “Death has been swallowed

up in victory.”
