Programme OverviewOur Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship is perfect if you wish to enter or progress in a managerial role. This programme enables you to develop your skills through hands-on paid experience with an employer whilst working towards a full honours degree.

During the programme you will build your capability to successfully manage people, projects and operations as well as develop the knowledge, skills and competencies employers look for. You will study a range of subjects including strategy, marketing and finance. You will also choose elective modules to tailor your study to support your job role or career aspirations - or to meet the needs of your employer.

Entry requirements Educational BackgroundYou must meet the minimum entry requirements shown below. However, employers may set their own entry criteria which are equivalent to or higher than the university entry criteria.

• 260+ UCAS points (104+ UCAS points from September 2017 under the new UCAS tariff system) and grade C GCSE English and Mathematics or:

• Completion of a level-3 apprenticeship/professional qualification in a relevant discipline or;

• Have a recognised and equivalent qualification (examinations and experience will be considered)

English LanguageIELTS score of 6.0 (overall) or equivalent, with no less than 6.0 in writing.

Award Upon successful completion of the programme you will be awarded the Bachelor of Business Administration from BPP University.

This Degree Apprenticeship programme has been designed to meet the Apprenticeship Standard, developed by a group of employers known as ‘Trailblazers’. These standards have been developed so you gain a highly relevant education: meeting the knowledge requirements and practical business needs of employers.

What job roles are suitable?To join a Degree Apprenticeship you must be in full time employment with an employer who is participating in the scheme. Your role must be relevant to the programme and may include: manager; senior manager; head of department; operations manager; or a position with management or operational responsibilities.

Chartered Management Institute (CMI) AccreditedThe Chartered Management Institute (CMI) is the leading professional body for managers in the UK and across Europe. It is the awarding body for Chartered Manager (CMgr), the highest professional status that can be achieved in management and leadership in the UK. This programme is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute. This means that, on successful completion, you will receive a Level 5 Diploma from CMI alongside your degree. During your studies you will also be given Affiliate Membership of CMI, allowing you access to CMI Management Direct: a vast resource of management information and guidance. You will also have the opportunity to attend regional and national events, enhancing your capability to build a professional network. When you complete your programme, you will have the opportunity to apply for Chartered Manager status, subject to independent assessment with representatives from CMI.
