OFFICIAL NETWORKING PARTNER AND DRINKS RECEPTION SPONSOR

THURSDAY 03 NOVEMBER 17:00 – 20:00

EXHIBITION FLOOR, E.ON LOUNGE

ALL GUESTS WELCOME

A very big welcome to Rugby Expo 2016 – an exciting year for the event as we also welcome you all to its new long-term home, the Ricoh Arena. Rugby Expo enjoyed five successful years at Twickenham Stadium, and following last year’s announcement that we would be moving the event to the Midlands venue, we’ve been very encouraged by the positive feedback that we’ve received from supporters, partners, clubs and wider stakeholders alike.

Home to Wasps since 2014, the venue is fast becoming the second home for the sport and allows us to widen the reach of Rugby Expo, with 75% of the country within a two-hour drive of the stadium.

Wasps also have excellent relationships with their community clubs, something that we have witnessed in the growing number of local clubs registering to attend Rugby Expo, benefitting from the free tickets for day two that we provide to grass roots rugby representatives. Our thanks also go to the RFU, Premiership Rugby and Pitchero for their support in promoting this nationwide.

On day one we will again turn our attention to the pro game, and look forward to welcoming a number of the sport’s key decision makers including World Rugby Chairman Bill

Beaumont CBE and Premiership Rugby CEO Mark McCafferty to the stage. The Club Council session also promises to spark debate and discussion as we host CEOs from pro union and league clubs to share their views on the sport’s most topical issues.

As in previous years, the event continues to be well supported by many of the sport’s key organising bodies including Premiership Rugby and the RFU, who we have worked closely with to develop the day two conference programme, which includes a series of RFU-led workshops aimed at addressing many of the key issues that are affecting grass roots rugby clubs today.

Rugby Expo will also be hosting the Association of Rugby Agents’ Annual Seminar for the third year running, ensuring all registered agents and associated stakeholders will be in attendance and given full access to the event.

We have a fantastic list of speakers and we hope that you enjoy the debate and discussions that begin on the stage, but inevitably continue throughout the two days.

On behalf of the team that work so hard to make Rugby Expo a reality, we hope that you have a productive and successful event and a huge thank you to David Armstrong, Andy Gibb and the wider teams at Wasps and the Ricoh Arena for their ongoing support.

JOHN HOCKEY - CHAIRMAN RUGBY VENTURES LTD.
