DELETING TEMPORARY FILES

1. Click “Start” -> “Search” -> “All Files and Folder”.

2. In “All or Part of the file name” box enter “*.tmp” and click “Search”. Ensure that the Local Hard drive is selected in the “ Look In” field.

3. Once the search is complete you will have a list of all temporary files on your hard drive.

4. Click “Edit” on the tool bar and “Select All” to select all these files. Before deleting ensure that there are no folders selected. If there are any folders deselect them by holding the Control key and clicking on the folders.

5. After deselecting all folders simply press the Delete key. Close the search window.

6. All deleted filed are stored in the “ Recycle bin” ( ) on your desktop. Right click on “Recycle Bin” and click “ Empty Recycle Bin” to delete all the files form your disk.
