Celebration of Labour Day

“Without labour nothing prospers”

Labour Day also called MAY DAY is an annual holiday to celebrate the achievements of workers on 1st May. Delhi Public School Firozabad celebrated May Day to pay due respect to

the supporting staff members of the school. Principal of the School Dr. Gaurav Dubey during his address acknowledged and appreciated their efforts because without their helping hands no organization can run smoothly. The programme ended with the distribution of sweets.

Yoga Session for kids

"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self."

Yoga is not a religion, it is a way of living that aims towards a healthy mind in a healthy body.

Man is a physical, mental and spiritual being and yoga is a mean to establish a proper

balanced development of all three. Yoga is an art to combine self with mother nature or

environment to create a common consciousness. Today at DPS Firozabad in leadership of

yogacharya Shri Pawan Arya and Shri Yogesh Gupta students learned basis skills of yoga

through different asanas.

Special Assembly on Rabindranath Tagore’s Birthday

Presented by Ganga House

“You can’t cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water.” -Rabindranath Tagore

To mark the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, a special assembly was organized by

the students of Ganga House. The assembly began with the famous prayer written by

Rabindranath Tagore. Anushka Sharma said emphasis on various phase of Tagore’s life. A

group of students presented an enchanting dance performance on one of the Tagore’s

composition which was appreciated by audience. Kritika Sharma recited a beautiful poem. The

closure of the event was marked with Principal’s speech. He asked students to follow the path

of Rabindranath’s virtuous life.

Celebration of Mother’s Day

“A mother is the heartbeat in the house and without her there seems to be no heart throb”

Mother’s day is a special day, for all children and mothers as, it celebrates the bond of love and

affection that is everlasting. Mothers are the emotional backbone of the family, who have the

magic touch to heal all wounds and make all things beautiful. An appealing function was

organized to celebrate Mother’s Day on May 11th 2019, in the premises of Delhi Public School,

Firozabad. Mothers were specially invited to spend a memorable day filled with activities and

fun. A host of performances were planned to honor and appreciate all mothers. The venue was

aptly decorated in keeping with the theme. Mother’s day cards made by students with

affectionate messages adorned the venue. They were entertained by myriad presentations by the

juniors and seniors.A plethora of frolic games were played to add to the merry making. All

performances exalted the mother as God, teacher, friend , philosopher and guide and

emphasised the truth that a mother’s love for her child is like nothing else in the world.

Sumptuous refreshment was provided towards the end of the programme.All in all it was an

enjoyable and memorable day for each and every mother which left an indubitable mark on the

their hearts.

Pool Bash Party

To beat the sweltering heat of summers, a pool bash activity was organized for the students of

classes Nursery- II on 15TH May, 2019. The tiny tots were looking attractive and adorable in

their bright multi-hued swimming costumes. The excitement around the pool area was evident

as the students jumped into the pool under the supervision of their class teachers and the

Swimming coach. They splashed the cool water on each other. The ambience around the pool

was so exhilarating and refreshing that they craved for some more time in the pool. The

Principal Dr.Gaurav Dubey was pleased to see the students enjoying themselves to the hilt. The

teachers were happy to see the delighted faces of the tiny tots and advised them to be safe and

also helped them to have fun to the fullest. It was the party which has created long lasting

memories for the students.

Cross Country

On the 2nd day, of Summer Camp DPS Firozabad organized the enthusiastically fun-filled but challenging game- Cross Country titled as Harrier's Race. The students of class VIII and IX

took part in that race and they accompanied by the Principal sir, experts and teachers. Students enjoyed a lot and proved their power and stamina. This race was one of the attraction of the Summer Camp. Overall it was great experience.

Banner Making Competition

OBJECTIVE: To help the students unfold the creative faculty and skill in the field of art. Get up, dress up,

Show up, Never give up.

In the Banner Making Competition organized by DPS Firozabad, the students of the school

showcased their talent and wide range of creativity in framing the pennon. Students chose various current issues like digital India, water saving, progressive India etcto depict through

their art and quotes in the banner. The whole competition was completed under the supervision of the concerned teachers. Thus this fun-filled competition of summer camp ended with great

success.

Visit at Old Age Home

“You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay

you”.

Today, class 4th& 5th students visited “Old Age Home” (Apna Ghar) situated at Shahpur,

Firozabad along with Mr. Laeeque Ahmad, Ms. Rashi Saluja, Ms. Shivangi Bansal and Mr.

Chandra Mohan. Around 8:30 AM students took a step ahead to add happiness, love & care in

the life of people with special needs. Subvention of usable as well as edible items like fruits,

biscuits and foot wears were carried out whole heartedly. Students tried to inter-mingle with

them by visiting to their living rooms, kitchen, dispensary and store room etc. The place was

well maintained, properly ventilated and clean. The main attractions were “Gau Shaala” and

the garden which connect us directly to the nature. The trip was successful and students wish to

visit such kind of social places in future for social sensitization.

Visit at Water Treatment Plant Delhi public school Firozabad organised an educational trip to Water treatment plant Jedajal in Firozabad. A group of students of class 7th to 9th and teachers visited the plant. The

personnels there gave a warm welcome and explained the working of the plant and the various steps involved in getting the purified water. Teachers instructed students about the precautions

to be taken by the students during the plant tour. The visit of the plant started with the pump house which receives water from upper Ganga canal. This visit was to enhance the knowledge

of Water treatment, Water quality among the students and help them understand the process of converting raw water into drinking water. The visit was an informative experience satisfying the

curiosity of students

Dance in the Rain Happiness is all about dancing in the rain and sailing a paper boat in the puddle.….

Through the months of crushing heat and irritable conditions ,on Friday 24th May 2019 "Splash and splash” were the sounds coming from the garden area of DPS Firozabad .

The children from class Nursery to class II, came all dressed in their bright colored swimming costumes and a sweet smile on their faces ready for dancing in the rain . The ground was

joyfully resplendent with water sprinklers, hoola-hoops and music. kids along with their teachers twisting ,shaking and grooving to the music beats and splashing of water. Followed by

the rain dance the little bundles of joy enjoyed their lunch and they carried the wonderful memories back home.

Visit at Kotla Fort

Delhi Public School,Firozabad organized a visit to the Kotla Fort as a part of its 10 day

summer camp. Students of standard V and VI visited the fort with great zeal and fervor. The

fort-which was fortified by Feroz Shah Tughlaq to house his version of Delhi sultanate, is

symbolic of ancient Mughal architecture. Students learnt about various architectural designs,

brick types etc. through live experiences. The students had a jolly time travelling to and from

the destination and at the fort.

Culmination of Summer Camp-2019 “The capacity to learn is a gift,the ability to learn is a skill and the willingness to learn is a

choice.”

Keeping this in mind, DPS Firozabad always endeavours for the best. An exemplary example of

this is the Summer Camp 2019,which was designed specially with the motive to utilise the

summer vacations in the most productive manner. After 10 days full of activities, acquiring

skills and art-finally came the day of culmination of the Summer Camp- a day for students to

showcase their newly learnt skills. A magical exhibition of extraordinary art and craft was

displayed along the aisle. The happy faces, the enchanted pieces of art, exhilarating dance

performances, melodious vocal chords made the Summer Camp culmination a day to behold.

This is the day when they deserve infinite standing ovation and applauds. They were seen

saying “ I learnt a new skill” with much gusto.Each student received a certificate as an

appreciation for the skills mastered by them. The success of the of the Summer Camp 2019-full

of myriad activities carefully concocted for kids,could not be possible without the undying

efforts of the teachers, the supporting staff and the management.
