The launch of an exhibition ofItalian photographer Maim-ouna Guerresi’s works brought

together many art lovers from the cityrecently. The exhibition, which had

26 photos put on display, was held atthe Italian cultural centre.

It was the first solo exhibi-tion of Maimouna in the

country and the guests at thisdo confessed to be ardent fansof the artiste. “Her photoshave delicate narratives with

fluid sequencing,” saidNathaniel Gaskell, the curator

of the exhibition.Former cricketer and now a

politician, Mohd Azharuddin

made an appearance at this eventwith his son Asad. “The pictures aregood,” said Azhar, and about his

political career, he said, “I am enjoy-ing it as long as it’s going good.”
