VACANCY – TECHNICAL MANAGER

DEPARTMENT: Engineering JOB LEVEL: 6

PURPOSE OF JOBBe Technical responsible throughout the System Life Cycle Process, plan, organize, schedule and integrate resources and activities on projects to ensure successful completion of the projects within time, cost and technical constraints / requirements. Support project manager and system engineering and negotiate requirements and viable technical solutions. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinate, manage and scrutinize technical inputs to designs.- Review and approve all 2D Data Packs and 3D models.- Conduct and review analytical calculations and basic simulations- Generate and review subsystem specifications (Development, Test Spec, etc.)- Comprehend and analyse complex mechanical problems and inspire solutions.- Mentor, supervise, contractors and junior designers.- Coordinate Level 2 test and act as test manager.- Coordinate and manage prototyping and assembly plan layout.- Support project management and system engineering

CRITICAL SKILLS- ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer.- Knowledge and Good Interpretation of Finite Element Analysis.- Master in a technical field.- Formal Qualification in System Engineering will be an added advantage.- Formal Qualification in Project Management will be an added advantage.- Product design and development in Pro Engineer / Creo or NX- Knowledge and experience in Project Management.- Knowledge and experience in System Life Cycle Process.- Knowledge and experience in a military environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS- BEng or BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering or BTech
