DETAILS OF THE PROGRAM

The Department of Computer Engineering of Dr. D Y Patil School of Engineering and

Technology, Lohgaon has organized a two days faculty development program on the topic “Indian

Patent Drafting and Filling Procedure ” in association with CSI student chapter on 8th and 9th Nov.

2017.

Hon’ble Dr. Eknath Khedkar Vice Chancellor Ajeenkya D Y Patil University, Charholli, Lohegaon,

Pune was the Chief Guest of the programme, Adv. Swapnil Gawande Director BLI Consultant Pvt Ltd

and Prof. Jitendra Edle, Sipna COE, Amravati are the resource persons for the FDP. The function was

presided by Hon. Principal, Dr. Ashok Kasnale , Dr. Roshani Raut, Convener & HOD, Prof. Ramesh

M. Kagalkar Coordinator, teaching and non-teaching staff.

The objective of the faculty development program was to facilitate the participants to know about

introduction to intellectual property right (IPR) where they need to know about Patent, Copyright and

Trademark and also patent criteria along with hands on session for the knowledge gain exercise on

patent searching, claim formatting and details of application filing procedures are also discussed.

On day1 session1 begin at 12:20pm with the introduction and the various aspects of IPR are

discussed by Prof.Jitendra Edle.

The session2 Adv. Swapnil Gawande discussed about Indian patent application filing procedure

with how we can file a patent in different countires.

On second day, the session was started with the introduction about Copyright. The hands on

session of exercise on patent searching, claim formatting and details of application filing procedures are

explained by Adv.Swapnil. Gawande.

The last session of the day was the question answer session. Participants were very happy about the

contents of the FDP. The feedback was collected from all the participants. The program ended with
