In Thiruvarur District 42 Primary Health Centres are functioning . Each Primary Health

centre should cover 30000 population to provide Health facilities.

JANANI SURAKSHA YOJANA:

Financial Assistance to the mothers for Deliveries conducted at Institution

Eligibiltiy :

• Resident of Tamil Nadu

• Family income – Below Poverty Line

• Only for 2 Deliveries

Amount :

The Amount as details

• Rs 700 should be given to the mothers delivered in the Govt Institutions if the mothers

residence is in the Rural Areas

• Rs 600 should be given to the mothers delivered in the Govt Institutions if the mothers

residence is in the Urban l Areas

Dr Muthulakshmi Reddy Maternity Benefit Scheme

Rs 12000 will be given to all AN Mothers residing in Tamil Nadu & Srilankan Refugees for the

following objectives

• To Prevent Infant Deaths & Maternal Deaths

• To eat Nutritious food by the pregnant women

• To compensate the income loss during the pregnancy time

Eligibility:

• Resident of Tamil Nadu & Srilankan Refugees

• Age of Mother should be 19 years

• Family income – Below Poverty Line

• Only for 2 Deliveries

• Name should be register in the Health Sub Centre / Primary Health Centres

Amount :

The Amount 12,000 should be given in 3 installments. Each instalment should be Rs 4000/=

The conditions are

Installment Amount in Rs Eligibility

First 4000

• Name should be entered in HSCs by VHNs

• The following care should be done in Government

Institutions ( Medical College, GH, PHC, HSC etc., )

Periodical Weight taken, HB test, Urine Test,

Scan, HIV Test, TT immunization

Second 4000

• Delivery should be conducted at Government

Institutions ( Medical College, GH, PHC, HSC etc., )

only

Thirud 4000 The child should receive upto 3 doses of DPT

/Pentavalant vaccines as per schedule
