Department of Religious and Sikh Studies: The Department of Religious and Sikh Studies was established in 2017. In this department all religions along with Sikhism are studied within a systematic and scientific manner. The main objective of this department is to provide information to the students about the doctrines, beliefs, experiences, customs and scriptures of the major religions around the world. Therefore, in the course of religious studies, the students are given information about the major religions of the world. It develops moral and social values, understanding of different religions, respect and mutual understanding in students. Thrust Areas Systematic and scientific studies of religions study of the world's major religions Knowledge about Social and ethical values Communal harmony Understanding the world scriptures Fee Concession to Needy Students: Students from low economic background are given concessions in this department so that despite of their circumstances they can get quality education. Vision of the Department: To impart knowledge of Indian and Semitic Religion, Inculcate Social and religion values in the Students. Courses offered: The Subject offered as one the Elective Subject in the degree of Bachelor of Arts (BA).
