INDUSTRY INTERACTION
The Department has constant interaction with Rubber and Plastics industries. Industries support the students for Inplant
Training, Industrial Visits, Design and Main Projects and delivering Guest Lectures and for collaborative projects.
Feedbacks from industries are well taken for updating the subjects and laboratory practical's.
ALUMNI INTERACTION
Alumnus constantly interact with faculty and students and give suitable feedback with industrial updates for curriculum
modifications, introduction of elective subjects and arrange for inplant training, projects and placements. Also alumni supports
financially for students who are in need of financial support. Alumni are invited for delivering guest lecture and share their
experience with respect to industrial scenario and higher education. Every year annual Alumni get together is arranged.
WORKSHOP, SHORT TERM COURSES, SEMINARS
The Department regularly organises short term courses, workshops, Faculty Training development Program and seminars
for the benefit of industry, students and faculty. Tailor made short term training courses as per the industrial need are also
organized.
ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES
The students association called Association of Rubber Technologists (ART) was started in the year 1989 and re-christened as
Society of Plastics and Rubber Technologists (SPART) in 2003. For the past twenty five years the students association is
successfully organizing a national level technical symposium “ELASTOPLAZ” in the month of March to disseminate
information about the changing scenario in industries and R&D Laboratories. The Association also helps the students to acquire
personality traits by conducting Group Discussion, Mock Interviews and Personality Development Sessions.
