SUBJECT: FY17/18 SAF/FMC Approved Lodging Rates

1. Effective 1 November 2016, the approved lodging rates for FY17/18 are below:

Visiting Officer Quarters/Visiting Quarters (VQs) $60.00 Visiting Airman Quarters (VAQs) $44.00 Temporary Lodging Facilities (TLFs) (all sizes) $63.00 Distinguished VQs $69.00 Large Distinguished VQs $75.00

2. The lodging rates listed did not change from the FY16 rates and were approved for two years. Your lodging manager MUST update the season in the Defense Lodging System (DLS). Instructions on how to update seasons can be found at www.usafservices.com .

3. Additionally, the previously approved waiver to fund source from appropriated funds to nonappropriated funds has been renewed. This incorporates operational expenses except for visiting quarters’ construction; sustainment, restoration, and modernizations; facility maintenance and repair; utilities; grounds maintenance; and common support. The waiver now includes limited kitchen and bathroom renovations as well as asbestos testing and abatement as part of the scheduled NAF projects.
