Being part of the former GSA, now merged with ASUN, it is a great way of knowing how UNL works and making great contacts with deans and chairs. Current GSA members recommend people to try to become senators, since this positions are great additions for the CV and a great experience.
Don’t forget to change your office clocks for Daylight Savings.

Multicultural Support Services
Dr. Abla Hasan received her doctorate in philosophy of language from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the spring of 2013, and was shortly after hired as a professor of practice of Arabic language and culture. Dr. Hasan has a diverse background of study in topics, ranging from feminism and religious studies to second language acquisition theories. This diversity in teaching and research interests equips Hasan with the necessary skills to teach a language which many students come into with some apprehension.
Born and raised in the Middle East, Dr. Hasan is a native Arabic speaker. In addition to her doctorate, she also earned her master’s degree in philosophy as a Fulbright grantee from the UNL in 2009. Dr. Hasan also holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a Diploma of High Studies from Damascus University.
