Concl usionsSDN and NFV are industry trends that can helps to integrated service providers betterutiliseand control their
infrastructure (in network and DCs) with the higher level of orchestration and automation. NFV has to bring additionalbenefits compare to server/network virtualization.Infrastructure cloud have to enable the independence from underlay physical hardware (compute, storage, network)
that HW should be generic and cheaper as proprietary solutions. It SHALL enable virtualization of resources, flexibility and elasticity. There exist multiple candidates for NFV in Telco environment cross all domains but looks like evolution approach
and hybrid scenarios need to be applicable case by case. Triggering points will be maturity, performance and costeffectiveness for particular function.
SDN and NFV are not competing technology and can be deployed independently or combined together.Definitely NFV and SDN have chance to change the Telco industry but open question remains when and how to
optimally utilize it.Adopting BSS/OSS for SDN/NFV will be crucial for leveraging all potential benefits.Standardization play important role but real breaking point will be availability of carrier grade implementations and
interoperability. Open source project and initiatives can helps here.
